In July we went for our vacation to Canada and America, while visiting NYC with our dog we were looking for daycare. City Tails NYC responded quick on our request by email. Our labradoodle Mick was very welcome so we had our hands free to explore the city that never sleeps. Mick had two great days and the staff took very good care of him, we are thankful. We absolutely recommend City Tails NYC 👍🏻👍🏻🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺

We send both our dogs to City Tails regularly. The staff is amazing - Joel and his team send regular updates to us and really care about our dogs (we'll often run into Joel and his staff on the street and both of our dogs will get incredibly excited when they see someone from City Tails). They are also excellent with overnight visits. We couldn't recommend City Tails enough.

Our dog, Tofu, has been a client of City Tails for years for his weekly daycare visit and sleepovers when we are out of town for weekend to multi-week trips. We know Tofu loves his visits because he gets some pep in his step on our walks over and pulls us to City Tails when we get close. Sometimes he doesn't let us take him home! Joel and his team are very attentive and we trust the team to take care of Tofu! We love the photo updates as well, especially the holiday photoshoots! Thank you City Tails!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Joel and his entire staff. Not only are they always willing and able to work with my unpredictable schedule, they also always put me at ease when I leave my dog here knowing she is in the absolute best care as if my dog was their own. I have been taking my dog to City Tails for day care and overnight boarding for several years now and the only thing I have to worry about is if my dog wants to come back home with me! I have a Border Collie / Aussie mix (read a HIGH energy handful) and the staff is constantly engaged, providing many daily updates, photos, and videos during her stays. The dogs are taken out often and get ample socialization with, not only the other dogs, but with the staff too. This is not always the case at other at other facilities in the city, or out of the city for that matter. I just recently had to board my dog for an almost 2 month stay and I would never think twice about boarding my dog anywhere else after such a positive and stress free experience. Joel and his staff truly love what they do and it shows in how they care for all the dogs that are under their care. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I hold all of my classes there because I know Joel, Michelle, and the entire staff are truly invested in providing the best environment for dogs of all ages! After being called back to in-person work much earlier than expected during the pandemic last winter, we were so incredibly lucky to find Joel & the City Tails NYC crew. Zephyr attended 3-5 days/week throughout the winter & spring, and boarded for three nights in June. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and environment at City Tails NYC. In a city where family-owned and neighborhood businesses seem to be disappearing, City Tails makes owners and dogs feel like they are a part of the family. I received several photos and videos each day of Zephyr at day care, as well as updates on his mood/behavior. He could not WAIT to go each day which, given that he has some pandemic-puppy attachment issues, is truly saying something. If you're looking for a safe place for your pup where he or she will be cared for and comfortable, look no further than this amazing business.

We have had the absolute best experience with City Tails. The family feel was there from the moment I requested more information online and got a phone call from Joel the owner. The Bass family has poured so much love into City Tails that it feels like much more than a daycare. Last week Michelle saw Louie walking on the street and stopped us to say hi- it just means so much to know they care. My dog Louie (check him out below smiling at daycare) absolutely loves going and has the best time. Joel sends us pictures and videos of him playing and it always makes my day. It’s clear that all of the staff treat him like he is their own dog. I use the service where they bring Louie home for me sometimes, which has been a life saver on numerous occasions. The communication with Joel is so easy and he is incredibly responsive. The facility is always sparkling clean. We did Louie's puppy classes with Kate Perry Dog Training at City Tails and it was really great that they have that partnership and Louie got early positive associations with the space. This place is just the best! We love City Tails and would highly recommend it to all!

It actually pains me to write this review as when you find a hidden gem in this city, you want to keep the secret to yourself and only tell friends and colleagues looking for the best of the best and trust your recommendations... but that would be a disservice to Joel and his team that run City Tails as they are not only the most reasonably priced daycare/boarding center in the village, they truly make your dog feel like family! She is always excited to go "see her friends" and I feel no guilt having her board for a week as I know she is having the time of her life - and all the pictures I get daily prove it! I also have a hectic and spontaneous work schedule that involves last minute trips and changes, and the staff is always accommodating and understanding to my needs - no words of appreciation can be said to explain how grateful I am for that. If you live downtown and need quality dog care and services, City Tails is your one stop shop!

City Tails is a very professional and reliable resource. I've known Joel, the owner, for years and can always count on him and his team to take care of my dog, including when I have to leave town for weeks on end. It's wonderful not having to worry about whether my dog is being properly cared for, and to know that he's matched during the day with other dogs he enjoys playing with. Wendy is an exceptional cat sitter who consistently exceeds our expectations. She shares numerous photos and a detailed summary of each visit. Wendy's pet care was incredible while we were our of the country! She sent text messages and emails (ensuring that we would certainly receive one of them) with updates and tons of photos. She collected mail and ensured things in the house were great for our kitty. I loved known our cat was in good hands and wasn't lonely while we were gone. Before the trip, Wendy was thorough in getting to know our cat and his needs. I highly recommend and will be using her company again!

I would strongly recommend Wendy and her professional service. Our Cat usually would hide when strangers visit us, but he immediately interacted with Wendy the moment he saw her. Wendy took very good care of our Cat while we were away for 9 days. We received detailed daily reports and nice photos every day and that really made us feel at ease. Wendy is absolutely amazing. I have two rescue guinea pigs which sounds strange, I know, but they are and because of this they’re very sensitive and skittish around strangers. We went through a few different people before finding Wendy and they LOVE HER! Wendy is incredibly thorough and timely. Her visit follow ups include details and tons of pictures (see some attached)! I feel completely comfortable when I have to go away knowing my boys are in good hands and I’m so grateful to have found Wendy.

Wendy's the best! She really made my dog feel at home. Wendy is a professional who is diligent, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy. She sent pics each day detailing my pup's activity, i.e. meals, playtime, potty breaks, etc. My pup was extremely comfortable with her and he was all smiles whenever I dropped him off and picked him up from daycare.

The first time my dog stayed with Wendy, I called her less than 24 hours from when I needed care for my dog. Though she generally prefers to have more notice than this, she was so willing to accommodate me and arranged for an initial meeting the same day. I left my dog with her for four days while I was out of town and my dog was so comfortable and happy the whole time. She sent me many photos every day and it looked as if she'd been taking care of my dog for years. I will never take my dog anywhere else in NYC. Highly highly highly recommend!

Wendy has taken care of my rabbit a number of times and always does a wonderful job. She is thorough, caring and responsive. She sends daily updates with details and cute pictures so I know that my rabbit is being well cared for. Now that I have found Wendy, I would not use anyone else to take care of my rabbit. Wendy is the best. We all know how hard it is to leave our loved ones - pets - they are our family members. Well, I have met many pet owners who told me about Wendy and it was all true. My little Parker is madly in love with her. He leaps from his bag when he hears her voice. Wendy's concerns are safety, a loving atmosphere, proper pet care. My partner and I were struggling to find a good option for boarding our dog. Jennifer was responsive and and caring when coordinating boarding our pet. Her and her team made us feel comfortable through out the process and felt comfortable through out the week we were gone. Our dog loved her dog sitter and we plan on using them any time we’re out of town, going forward. Couldn’t recommend her services more highly!

My wife and I have been using Jennifer for about a year now since we have moved to NYC. She is absolutely fantastic with our cat Louie and we never have to worry while he is in her care. He is very shy around most people but always comes out for Jennifer! She keeps you informed with updates and pics each visit! It makes traveling so easy!! Jenn was amazing!! Michelle seemed so happy in the photos that I received and when we went to pick her up! Jennifer took amazing care of our precious treasure while we were away for 3 weeks. She made sure that our cat was fed, brushed and especially played with. While we were away, she stayed in contact with us and sent us many pictures of our cat and had answered all of our questions. All in all she was incredible with our cat and I definitely recommend her to others!

I have used Play Pals for two dogs, over many years. Brian finds the nicest dog walkers, and they are reliable, thoughtful, courteous, and kind. Moss, our current walker, has been walking Evie for two years and is super patient with her as she ages and slows down. Brian is organized, responsive, and is able to arrange additional walks as needed (e.g. an evening when we're going out). I highly recommend Play Pals!

Play Pals is reliable, easy to communicate with and takes care of our dog 3 days a week when he needs walks during the workday! They are always on time and send efficient updates letting us know if he pooped, peed and that his water bowl is full. They are super easy to work with and a well oiled machine, however, there is still a personal touch. They accept last minute request and the owner is super friendly!

I have trusted this company to take care of my three cats on three separate occasions - one which lasted 3 weeks. I never felt worried for my cats or my home. I also receive the cutest little updates (with photos like this taken by the cat sitter) every visit. I couldn’t recommend them more - I always know my pets are in the best of hands :)

I have been totally satisfied and delighted to use PlayPals as my cat sitter for the last few years. We adore Ana, who tried so hard to befriend our beloved and very shy cat Bunny. At first she sent us photos of him hiding under the bed, and eventually with her patience and love, had him sitting on her lap. It meant so much to us that they had a special bond. Finding a trustworthy dog boarding facility in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood felt daunting, but this place made it easy. From my first visit, the friendly staff reassured me that my doggo was in the best hands. They’re attentive, professional, and clearly cared about my dog’s individual needs. A special shoutout to Sade, who took the time to get to know my dog’s personality and made it comfortable for me to leave him. The facility is great, well-designed, and perfectly secure, with cozy rest areas and plenty of playtime. I received regular updates, and my dog was so happy throughout his stay! We dropped off our little lovely Lucy! As we made clear, she will cry for us very loud for the first two or so days. As she did, and she was cared for! Other spots have told us “No.” the second we mention her separation anxiety. Paws in Chelsea was happy to take her, they sent tons of photos and emails! Being first time boarding dog parents we were nervous. They made it easy and helpful by sending so many emails and amazing photos. We picked her up in good shape too. She was is a very happy dog and I’m glad we found our new spot here!

I’ve been a loyal customer of this daycare for 1.5 years, even referring several friends. While I initially loved the front desk staff, my experience with the new owner of the daycare has been extremely disappointing. After the daycare was acquired, things took a turn for the worse, especially in how they handled a severe incident where my dog was bitten while in their care. I received a call saying my dog had been attacked unprovoked. The photo they sent barely captured the extent of the injury—his ear was bleeding profusely and wouldn’t stop. I rushed to get emergency surgery, and he ended up with four stitches in his ear, which left a permanent chunk of it missing. He had to be put under anesthesia during the surgery and spent a full month in recovery with a cone, medication, and immense discomfort. He also needed to go under again to remove the stitches a few weeks later. This attack left my dog skittish and afraid, and months later, I’m still dealing with the emotional aftermath. While the front desk staff were sympathetic & kind, the owner never reached out until I did—and only after multiple back-and-forths did he agree to cover just 40% of the costs my insurance didn’t cover. One of the biggest frustrations was the inconsistency in the owner’s story. From the start, they told me this was a completely unprovoked attack. The owner even claimed to have reviewed years of footage where my dog and the other dog were in the same room together. However, when I requested to see the footage of the incident itself weeks later, they suddenly said their system was too old to provide it. If the attack was truly unprovoked, I can’t understand why they wouldn’t simply send me the video. Then, months later, the owner changed the story again, claiming my dog had provoked the other by playfully bowing/barking. This back-and-forth, combined with the refusal to share footage they claimed to have reviewed, makes the entire situation feel sketchy. I’ll never know the full truth, and despite liking the staff, I can no longer trust this daycare due to how poorly the owner handled everything.

Paws in Chelsea is one of the first founded boarding facilities in New York City. They board dogs & cats in separate areas, & are conveniently located underneath a cat veterinary facility called The Cat Practice. This gives them access to 24 hour veterinarian care as well which is always a plus! We highly applaud this high quality facility. The love/passion for what they do shows as they are always reliable, dependable & very personable.

My partner and I made a serious mistake of choosing this place to board our Cavachon for 5 days. The place looked much cleaner in pictures. I was a little shocked to see how dirty the facility was. We gave them the benefit of the doubt but when I picked up our dog she was reeked of her own urine and her paws were so yellow as if they never walked her. Not only that she was terrified when I picked her up. I wouldn't recommend based on our experience.

My dog is very happy here and Im happy that she goes here. Great team, they listen to what you tell them your dog needs with food etc, I take her here everyday and she is very well known and loved by the team, she even has her best friend Angel and a group a dog friends too. I love boarding my cat here. Everyone is super sweet and you can tell they genuinely love animals. They take really good care of him. My cat really enjoys and loves his time here. Here's one of the pictures they sent us. Highly recommend them.

My eskie and I have visited several doggy daycares. I live next to 3 in a 2 block radius from my apartment, but I still prefer walking 15 blocks to drop her off here. Great rates, better operating hours, clean and sanitary, diligence in shots reminders, but most importantly an amazingly competent amicable staff. Wish I could afford to tip them more. They deserve it.

Our 3-year-old Vizsla has been going to Puppy Loft since she was five months old, and it's truly her second home. The staff is so loving and playful, and they truly care for the dogs. She's always so happy when we pick her up and exhausted for hours after! It's an enriching place for her to play and be a dog around other dogs safely. It's the only place we feel comfortable leaving her overnight because there is always someone with the dogs throughout the night and there are a variety of sleeping options (not just locked in a kennel alone). It's truly her second home, and long after our city days are over we plan to bring her back for visits and boarding. Puppy Loft makes being a dog owner in the city much more enjoyable. We are very grateful for their service and highly recommend if you are looking for a caring and well-run business for your doggy.

Been bringing my 13 year old dog here for years, first for puppy daycare and always for grooming. Very nice people, and he always pulls to go in!

Love bringing my two pups Lucky and Ace when I’m out of town it’s a safe place and they are very well taken care of, all the staff Are super sweet and Nelson always makes sure all the pups are taken care of, he understands those are our baby’s , absolutely the best doggie day care in Town.

Our dog contracted kennel cough and got a bald patch on his back after we boarded him over 4th of July weekend. As shown in the videos, which were taken within a couple of hours of us picking him up, something is clearly wrong with our dog coughing his lungs out but nobody noticed. There’s also a bald patch of skin on his back. When we contacted Puppy Loft about these symptoms- they first said it was because our dog barked a lot and played hard with other dogs, and then said he must have gotten sick that day. I understand that as pet owners group boarding always involves risks of our dogs getting sick, and while the Puppy Loft team are nice people, how they handled it - negligence, refusing to accept any responsibility and brushing things off - was really disappointing.

Professional, caring, and helpful. My dog Penny loves it there so much that she pulls me there aggressively. No complaints!

My boy, Luc, loved spending a day here! Every time I brought him, he did not want to leave. The people running the place care about the dogs and take great care of them. I also had them groom my puppy. They did a wonderful job. It is unfortunate that I was only in the City temporarily and cannot use their service any longer. I highly recommend Puppy Loft.

I took my dog here for 2 years and cannot say enough good things! The staff is incredibly caring and I never had to worry about my baby. They also offer grooming while they are in daycare and boarding where the staff stays overnight. They have great hours and are flexible with your schedule. I just moved out of NYC and we will miss Puppy Loft!

WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR WIGGLY PUPS! We just moved to the city, and we were so happy to find Wiggly Pups for our puppy to go to for some daycare. I emailed Paul and set up our doggy "temperament check" date, and once we passed that, we were all set to drop in whenever we wanted! We've taken our dog to Wiggly Pups a few times (with me peeping on the livestream!); we always enjoy the daily pictures of our pup playing, and the staff are great! Then, we went on a trip out of town for a week (for a family wedding), and our NYC dog babysitter we had lined up bailed on us halfway through the week (obviously causing quite a bit of panic on my end!). We needed someone to care for our dog over the long weekend, ASAP--I called Paul in a tizzy, and Henry came to the rescue! Our dog stayed at Wiggly Pups during the day, and Henry cared for him during the evenings and weekend! Henry took excellent care of our dog--sending us daily picture updates, even giving him a bath when they got caught in the rain! We'd recommend Wiggly Pups to anyone looking for great care for their dog, as well as looking to support a small business with a great staff :)

My puppy Pluto began spending a day-a a-week at Wiggly Pupps when he was 4 months old. Having just been to another doggy daycare where he was quite unhappy, I was so delighted to see how excited he was to jump into the day care and into Jasmine’s (the caregiver) arms. The place is adorable. It is being constantly cleaned, smells fantastic, the dogs are clearly happy. In fact, last time I went to pick Pluto up, he wanted to run back to the daycare. What a relief. Paul is very responsive, supportive, clear and patient with concerns about Pluto. Thank Wiggly Pups.

We love Wiggly Pups! The nicest staff and my puppy is so excited to go every day. Everyone there is so accommodating and takes time to speak with me about how my puppy is doing and always offer guidance. 10/10 recommend :)

We wanted to find our neighborhood groomer and potentially daycare spot for our young puppy, but we were very disappointed. We dropped our dog off at the location, which is a swelteringly hot, loud basement. A woman at the front desk took our dog in, stating that the groomer hadn’t arrived but that we could text him with our desired look and specifications. I sent a text, to no response. We were pleased that Wiggly Pups gave us a heads up on when to pick our dog so that she wouldn’t be waiting in a loud kennel for hours. When we picked her up, however, it was clear that the groomer has little grooming experience and even less with handling a puppy. The staff told us that in their care, our dog had escaped their gates, which was scary to hear as a new dog owner who was looking for a trustworthy place to leave their pup for the first time. When I brought her home and really looked her square in the face, her face hair / whiskers were completely uneven and her paws had not even been trimmed so as to clean up her long hair. We brought her back to have her face hair righted. As we get there, Wiggly Pups had so many devices running that all the lights went out, leaving us in the dark with our young puppy in a business new to us. When she came out the second time, I said that it still looked very uneven, to which the groomer replied that it is very hard to get even because “she is a puppy and moves the whole time. Would you like me to take her out here and show you how hard it is to cut her hair?”. I also noticed this morning that she was nicked by the razor as well (see pics). At this point my faith in this business having past “wiggly pup” experience (as the name states!) was gone. Not worth a 130 dollar service.

My dog, Ellie, has separation anxiety, so I needed to find a place where she’d be comfortable and have sufficient human interaction. After trying several daycares throughout Manhattan, I was ready to give up. Most places had multiple rooms where the staff would watch the dogs from either a window or a camera, only going in to clean on occasion. And anytime I’d ask how she did, I’d get a canned “she did great!” (as if I hadn’t watched her cower in a corner all day on their video stream) So, when a behavioral trainer had told me to check out Wiggly Pups, I didn’t have high hopes, but I decided to reach out anyways. The owner, Paul, spent over an hour on the phone with me answering my questions, explaining the Wiggly Pups culture, and assuring me that the dogs are never left alone. I was hesitant, because it sounded too good to be true, but somehow, it has turned out to be even better than I could have imagined! We have now been loyal Wiggly Pups clients for the past 4 months and I could not be more grateful to them. The incredible staff (shoutout to Josh and Jaz whose praises can’t be sung loud enough) not only continue to meet Ellie’s needs, but they also report back to me with descriptions that actually sound like my dog! I cannot recommend Wiggly Pups more highly - the individualized attention that they give to their dogs is unmatched by other (and oftentimes more expensive!) daycares in NYC.

Wiggly Pups is the best. They offer wonderful care, send photos and updates of our pup throughout the day, and offer such a great rate. Their hours, 8am to 7pm, are perfect for our crazy work schedules. And the owner, Paul, is so nice - super responsive, answers all my questions, and has a wealth of knowledge about caring for dogs. Wiggly Pups is the best! My 5 month old frenchie just loves going there. The staff and the owners are beyond attentive. They give me updates through the day and send me adorable photos. They are so easy to get in contact with and very knowledgeable about raising a dog. I recommend Wiggly Pups to everyone! Leaving your puppy is hard, but it makes it so much easier when the team is so trustworthy and really cares about the well-being of your pup. 10/10 spot! We have been bringing our puppy here for several months now, and so far our experience has surpassed all expectations we initially had. The staff and caretakers at Wiggly Pups are caring and conscientious, and pay close attention to the dogs while they are playing. The owner, Paul, is extremely dedicated to ensuring that we are kept up-to-date throughout the day, and often sends us pictures of our puppy as well as updates on his progress/activity level. When we had a concern about our puppy (unrelated to Wiggly Pups), Paul provided us with helpful information within minutes. From day one Paul has shown us that he truly cares about each dog at Wiggly Pups, and I feel completely comfortable knowing that our puppy is in good hands when we drop him off. Our dog clearly loves being at Wiggly Pups as well -- he drags us there in the mornings, and is often reluctant to leave when we come to pick him up. We can see on the webcam that our puppy is learning appropriate socialization skills for his age and receiving excellent care. The facilities at Wiggly Pups are perfect for facilitating puppy playtime -- clean, comfortable, and safe. I cannot recommend Wiggly Pups enough, and strongly recommend their playtime for puppies and dogs of any age. The service is a great way for dogs to expend their energy, and a nice respite for dog owners as well!

Wiggly Pups has been an absolute blessing for our sweet hound, Rhett. Our pup has a lot of anxiety and trauma from his earlier life before we adopted him into our home, and he requires low stimulation and force free correction from people who care; Wiggly Pups fits that bill and then some! Our boy used to come home extremely overstimulated from his previous daycare, and now he comes home from Wiggly Pups relaxed and happy. The staff is so caring and loving to him each and every day! Every concern or question we have had is answered immediately and to our complete satisfaction. The owners and staff have thought of it all, and they really work to ensure the success of the pups in their pack. I’m so lucky to have found Dan’s Dog Walking service! The team has done an amazing job helping my six year old corgi adjust to life in Brooklyn with their training and walking services. My dog loves her daily walks with Jen and periodic training sessions with Tony! Dan and the team are professional, responsive, and most importantly, kind and caring. Also the team has been a life saver as I return to the office - stepping in quickly to help whenever my schedule changes and my dog needs extra care. Highly recommend!

We love Dan's! :) We hired Dan's for behavioral training for our 50lb lab mix. He is very reactive with other dogs, trucks, sometimes kids - so wanted help with controlling that behavior. Tony is a fantastic trainer. Really thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. After even just a few sessions we learned so many skills to help manage our dog's behavior better. Dan’s Pet Care has been a lifesaver while we were working from home and even more so while we’re heading back to the office. Tony the Head Trainer has basically become Pancho’s godfather and he comes with the added bonus of being an outstanding photographer. Dan’s is an all around joy. They’re reliable, easy to get in touch with and the training services are competitively priced. Before we started one on one training with Tony they did a consult and meet and greet which really gave me a bigger picture of the services they offer, their qualifications and most importantly I could gauge whether they were a good fit for my dog and I. With that said, Tony is easy going, qualified but more importantly provides me with training tips that are attainable and has provided me with valuable insight into developing a great relationship with my dog, Bryce. Within one session I already see the progress Bryce and I have made in our daily walks and look forward to continued training.

I am a brand new puppy owner. I never grew up with dogs. I had a hodgepodge of information, from a variety of schools of thought when I reached out to Dan’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. My little dog Indie is experiencing some pretty severe separation anxiety, and I have been at a loss. In defeat and desperation I reached out to Dan’s, and their confidence immediately lifted my spirits. My first meeting with them was a home visit including the trainer, the office manager, and the founder himself, Dan. I was already pretty taken with the care of that first meeting. Now, my trainer and dog walkers are all in the same company. The walkers communicate with the trainer, and Indie gets the best care I could ever ask for. Now, the walks. I am astounded by the service Dan’s provides. It’s PREMIUM. There are multiple former vet techs on staff, including Dan himself. The trainer is sometimes the one who is walking Indie. I receive notice when the walk begins, photos are sent to me, I see on a map where they walk to, and I get extensive and thoughtful feedback on how the walk went with Indie. I am floored, and my stress levels have gone down considerably. Dan said to me at our first meeting, “this is a group of people who really love animals,” and I see it fully expressed through the service they provide. I cannot wait for Indie and I to train with Dan’s, and cannot recommend them highly enough!

Dan’s Pet Care has been a life saver for me. After interviewing different companies and realizing they did not have the knowledge to deal with my dog. Dan (himself ) and Tony (trainer) came to meet my Trixie. Trixie is not the easiest pup and they took her on with such great care. It has been about 6 months now and Trixie and I could not be happier with the services! So happy I found these guys!

Superlative service. So pleased to discover WVCS/Manhattan Kitties. Despite being nervous about leaving my two kitties, Sylvie placed me at ease beforehand on arrangements, what to expect, cost, etc. Sitter Vicky was Fabulous, dependable and wonderful with kitties. I received a report with pics twice a day. Really made me feel secure that kitties had A+ care. Wish I could travel with my cats, but WVCS is next best. I have been in search of a reliable cat sitting service since I moved to NYC to have as a backup in case friends or family are unavailable, and literally 3 years into my residency I came across Sylvie and her team. From the moment I sent over an inquiry to the very last day that Jee (BEST CAT SITTER EVER) sent an update, I felt comfortable and confident leaving Greg in their care. Sylvie answered every single one of my questions and was so friendly and welcoming. Jee sent twice daily comprehensive reports while she was taking care of Greg including pics and the funniest videos. If I'm being totally honest, Jee spoiled Greg rotten. I think he had more fun with her in a week than he has with me daily. The litter box was sparkling every day, food dishes cleaned and water changed, Jee even brought Greg special treats and toys! 10/10 experience and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a cat sitter in the West Vil/Chelsea area!

I've used WVCS twice so far and both times have been a great experience. My sitter is Lauren and she's the best - she writes the most detailed emails explaining her time with my cats and sends videos of both which I love so much more than photos. I always feel at ease now when I travel knowing that Lauren will be there to check on them. The vetting and application process was extremely thorough which I appreciated and you can tell how much Sylvie & her team truly care about cats. I'll definitely continue using them going forward and recommend them to anyone who asks!

We had such a great experience using West Village Cat Sitters to watch our two cats while we were on a short trip. Being that we spent over a year with our cats day in and out, we were so nervous to leave them- but with Erin taking care of our cats, I felt at ease that our little guys were being so well taken care of! I had only adopted my cat a month before so I was apprehensive about leaving, but Erin did a wonderful job of making sure he was comfortable and taken care of. I was truly impressed that she was able to bond with him in such a short amount of time. The attention to detail and care that my kitty received while I was away was exceptional. Very impressed with this cat sitting company. I lived in the West Village for two years and was referred to WVCS by my vet. Sylvie is amazing and all of the team members I corresponded with were professional, respectful, responsive and truly loved cats! I had a couple of sitters take care of my cats and they were always treated with the same TLC I would provide myself! I consistently received thorough emails including photos and videos of each visit, and had direct contact with the sitter to answer any questions. When moving out of NYC recently, I connected with Sylvie regarding an inquiry for a travel companion to join me and getting my two cats on their first flight! We've been with Katie's Kitty since 2019 - that's five years, practically Merlin's entire life! They've cared for him since he was a kitten, and we always followed an every-other-day visit routine. However, during my recent trip, they pressured me to switch to daily visits, insisting it was “better” for Merlin. In fact, they had different employees contact and try to convince us a couple of times this year. Reluctantly, I agreed. During their care, Merlin fell critically ill, developing a stress-induced urinary blockage—a potentially fatal condition. When I informed the company, I expected concern and accountability. Instead, I received a cold, dismissive response: "Just because something happened to your cat during our visits doesn’t mean we’re responsible or need to feel sorry for it." This lack of empathy and accountability was shocking. My vet was clear: the sudden change in Merlin’s routine triggered his condition. If I had been even a day late in getting him to the emergency vet, Merlin might not be here today. Why This Matters: I’m lucky to have detailed documentation—written communications, pet cam footage, and a vet who saved Merlin’s life on a Sunday night. But not every pet owner is this fortunate. Many lack the evidence or resources to challenge a company’s dismissive response when something goes wrong. To be clear, this isn’t about blaming an individual caretaker. My issue lies with Katie’s Kitty’s rigid policies and lack of personalized care, which led to a near-tragic outcome for my cat. For clarity, I didn’t name any individual because I don’t believe the specific caretaker is entirely at fault—it’s the company’s policies and decisions that led to this. But I hope this serves as a warning to others about the importance of selecting care providers who truly prioritize their pets. Conclusion: Pet owners, please be cautious. Your pet’s life is too precious to entrust to a company that prioritizes routine over individual needs. If you’re considering Katie’s Kitty, think twice. I’m so glad I trusted my instincts and chose this company to take care of our cat while we were away for a week-long vacation. The process was super easy: you fill out a form with the requested Catsitting service dates, details about your cat (breed, specific needs, etc.), and they respond promptly via email to answer any questions and set up a meet-and-greet with an available Catsitter. Our meet-and-greet with Anna B. was fantastic! She’s professional, friendly, and polite, and she took such great care of our Loki while we were away. We opted for 20-minute visits for basic needs, and Anna always sent us the cutest photos of her interactions with our cat, which gave us such peace of mind during our trip. After a bad experience with a Catsitter through the Rover app last year, I was nervous about selecting a new company, but this one exceeded all expectations. They didn’t let me down, and I’ll definitely rely on them for future vacations!

Sally did a wonderful job taking care of our two Siberian cats for 10 consecutive visits! This was the first time we left our cats alone for that long without family and not only did Sally ensure that we had detailed updates with photos and videos but we also returned to two very calm, happy, and content cats! Their coats were also fluffy and groomed 😻. Sally has many cat toys and really understands the cat breed well. The cats loved the paper grass she gifted them and kept laying on it even after we returned home. We are happy and thankful to have found Sally through Katie’s kitty!

I highly recommend these sitters. They’re a family-owned small business and are trustworthy. When they didn’t have anyone for a trip I’m taking at a busy time of year, they even referred me to another agency. I doubt one can go wrong with them.

Everyone at this company was quick to respond, knowledgeable about feline needs, and incredibly dedicated. Valerie was TERRIFIC! She came to my apartment twice a day to feed, care for, and play with my beloved senior kitty and she sent me lots of updates and photos. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company; they really do a phenomenal job.

I highly recommend Katie’s Kitty. Our sitter, Joe Daly gives great care to our two cats when we are out of town. He keeps me informed twice a day with pictures of them which always eases my mind and you can tell he is a genuine “cat person.” He even ran to pick up cat litter for me once when we we were running low while out of town and the Amazon delivery was delayed.

We have an elderly cat who needs lots of love and attention. We absolutely LOVE Emily (UES) as our sitter for sweet Luís. We typically worry about our cat having his needs met while we are away- but we know he is in the best hands with Emily. She provides us with detailed daily updates, and you can tell she truly cares about our cat. We feel so grateful to be able to work with Emily/Katie’s Kitty!

Irene Starygina from Katie's Kitty is the best...period. On extremely short notice we needed care for our 2 young cats for a week. We reached out to Katie's and they connected us with Irene, who was nothing short of spectacular. Irene is extremely communicative as we got great updates twice a day with videos and professional level photos AND even a folder of the best shots for archiving and sharing (no joke the photos are amazing). She gave our cats a ton of time and attention, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We couldn't recommend Irene more. A++.

We had a great experience using Katie's Kitty for the first time! Stephanie was absolutely wonderful, super responsive and reassuring. She and her boys took wonderful care of my cat and made him feel safe while we were away. They gave him so much love and attention and I'm so happy that we now have a place to leave our boy when we're out of town.

Shiro did a beautiful job, our lhasa apso requires a scissor cut for her type of coat and we were nervous after leaving our groomer in Paris! I truly don’t think I could write this review fast enough after picking my pup up from his first groom here. He’s 8 months old and is definitely not a huge fan of bathes or from vet visits, anyone up in his business. I let the staff know these details and some. And got to meet the groomer Alfonso before the appointment too. Could not recommend him more!! All my nerves were gone as soon as I picked my guy up. My dog came out looking AMAZING, exactly how I asked and to my surprise did not want to leave. It was a fight to walk him home because he kept pulling me back to Dogma. We’ll definitely be returning customers. Thank you so much! If you’re considering taking your pup here for their first groom don’t think twice. They go above and beyond :)

He gets to attend long walks, agility playgroup and play as much as he wants with other dogs. I am extremely disappointed, upset, and sickened by the care my dog received at Dogma NYC. Not only did my dog come home with kennel cough and covered in urine, but I was horrified when I watched the video cam during an agility class and saw him being hit twice and shoved by the so-called trainer. To make matters worse, I had signed my dog up for two agility classes, and when I logged in to watch on the video cam, he wasn't even in class—they forgot him! This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and inexcusable for a business that claims to care for animals. I trusted them to provide a safe and nurturing environment, but instead, my dog was mistreated, abused, and neglected. I would never recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their dog. Avoid this company at all costs!
