Wow! I can’t speak highly enough about our experience meeting and housesitting for Karen & Peter. Upon arrival, we immediately were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. After they showed us all around, We instantly felt a great connection with them & their fur boys. We all had so much fun talking & getting to know each other that it felt like we had know them for a long time. They have such good energy! Their welcome packet was detailed and easy to understand, as were the instructions they provided. Karen & Peter are super easy to work with and communicate very well. Their dogs Kona & Guinness are gentle & well adjusted. Both are affectionate, love snuggles, play time, and ear scratches. They are packed full of hilarious, smart & wonderful personalities. They are both such sweethearts and a joy to be with. They are super well behaved, and walk well on a lead. Guinness being 3 yrs old has a more energy than Kona who is 11. We pretty much tuckered them out on 2 very long walks a day- which is easy to do because of all the great trails and neighbourhoods by their home. They are close to Lake Buntzen- with trails galore, & Belcarra Village (on the shore of Indian Arm). The Town Centre & Port Moody are only a 15 min drive. The home in Anmore is a beautiful oasis at the end of their street and has a river/ large creek directly beside the house- which you can hear when the window is open. It truly feels like you’re in a private retreat. Their home is very clean, cozy & comfortable. The large kitchen is ideal for preparing anything you’d like. Before we left, Karen & Peter had coffee already brewed for us. Peter made a delicious Frittata…and it was his birthday! We really appreciated their hospitality & enjoyed getting to know like minded adventurers at heart! Karen & Peter are THE. NICEST. PEOPLE!! This was such an amazing experience! Thank you for entrusting your beloved Kona & Guinness in our care and sharing your home. We had the best time, & think the world of you both. We hope to have the opportunity again!! Please give cuddles, kisses & scratches to the fur boys from us!!
Ning’s home is lovely and in a secure gated community just outside of Santiago de Queretaro. Kiku was very nervous and apprehensive of us for the first few days. Walking and playing with her multiple times a day helped eliminate her anxiety. Minoru is a very playful and cuddly cat. We are looking forward to our next sit with Ning and her fur babies.
Jane and John were fantastic hosts. They made us feel very welcome in their home and even made us a lovely supper the evening before the sit. Tess the cutest doggo ever and we enjoyed taking her on some beautiful walks around the Cotswolds. We would certainly sit for them again. Thanks for having us!
This was a wonderful house sit! Claire and Mike invited me to stay the night before they traveled so that they could show me the dogs' full routine and make sure I was clear on everything for the house, as well as where was available for walks. The dogs are really well trained and we built up great trust in the week I was there. The house is lovely, it's a real treat to have an aga! Plus the internet connection is fast, which I needed for working from home. It is a drive to amenities, but it's such a nice area that it was a good excuse to explore. And if you get chance to try their sloe gin - make sure you do!
It was lovely to stay at Isla and Tim's and to look after their menagerie - Nola and Bron, the gorgeous, well behaved dogs, ducks, chickens, geese and turkeys - lots of delicious eggs. Isla and Tim communicated well and if we had any problems we knew they would respond quickly. There is chance to visit all the local towns which each held their own interest and even get into Bath for the day - well worth a visit to the roman baths. Neighbours were friendly and helpful and there is a local, welcoming pub where we joined the locals for a quiz night and did pretty well!
We absolutely fell in love with Princess Charlene & had a fantastic time petsitting at Isabelle’s beautiful apartment! Our nightly games of hide and seek were a definite highlight, we miss her already. Communication was a breeze & everything worked out great - thanks Isabelle! :)
