Had a wonderful week in the Cotswolds regardless of the wet weather. Twizzle and Tarka are adorable and considering Tarka is elderly when she is out in the field she is full of life. Didn't see much of the cats but when I did they too were friendly. The house is beautiful and Sara was very welcoming.
It was such a treat getting to know Sammy & Jessie. Lavonne's lovely home is practically across the street from Crystal Palace Station and Park. Lavonne was very kind and communicative. She made me feel very welcome and appreciated.
Jenny and families picturesque home was a great location feeling secluded in the beautiful Lake District yet a short drive from town and close to many amazing walks. They made us feel very welcome and explained everything we needed know about the home and Ralph the kitten we cared for. Ralph was an affectionate adorable cat who was very well behaved and easy to care for. The cottage felt warm and cozy even in December which made it the perfect stay for us. Had an amazing stay.
This was our first sit with TrustedHouseSitters and Kate & Julian gave us a fantastic welcome to their home and pets. They made it very easy for us with an introduction to the pets, clear instructions for the house and garden, and loads of helpful tips and suggestions for walks and other activities in the local area. Albie is a completely adorable and very affectionate spaniel whose energy was totally infectious. Henry, like most cats, was more independent, but also very friendly and loved to sit on our laps in the evening. Sol was turned out so just needed a morning and evening check to see he was OK, he was happy to canter down to the paddock fence to the rattle of pony nuts so we could check he was doing fine and give him a nose rub. All the pets were a real delight. During our sit, we were also fortunate enough to be able to harvest some soft fruit, vegetables and salad from the garden, which was a fantastic bonus. The house is sits amongst beautiful countryside in a peaceful wooded area and has plenty of stunning walks straight from the front door. There are lots of interesting places to visit locally and a variety of excellent pubs and eateries nearby. We loved staying in Kate and Julian’s beautiful home taking care of their treasured pets and would not hesitate to return, should the opportunity arise.
I had a great experience at Annas apartment. Ludwig and Lily are the cutest cats. Ludwig likes to cuddle and Lily is a little bit shy but opens up after a while. Anna is very easy going.
Ronni is a pleasure to hang with and to sit for! She's totally chill and accommodating, and really made me feel at home. Her place is perfect, and the neighborhood is SO beautiful to walk around. I was able to take several short hikes that were just a short drive from the house, and they were truly world-class beautiful, especially during the sunsets. Dominga is a bit shy at first (especially as she adjusts to Ronni being gone), but then she's perfect! She's beautiful and loves some nice belly rubs, and is a great companion not only for longish walks but also to just sit nearby while I was working and reading.
