We just finished a month of Housesitting here in beautiful Southern California for Marla. We were so blessed getting to do this housesit. A few specifics were Marla’s amazing hospitality. She was open and inviting. very communicative and available and even accommodated our need to stay a few extra days. She gave us a thorough tour of the house and provided us guides to things to do in the area. Did I mention this house is in an ideal location? 5 min walk from the beach. 30 min to Malibu. 1 hour from LA. We fell in love with Punky. She is so sweet, playful and cuddly! Really she is a dream dog to take care of. She loves her toys and treats and most importantly she’ll love you! My husband was her absolute favorite. We will miss her a lot! Also, we loved the house and the patio outdoors. Marla let us glean from her abundant garden and I enjoyed getting to integrate fresh veggies into my cooking. (I can’t figure out how to attach the picture of the beautiful passion fruit flower we took). It’s so nice and relaxing staying here. If you get a chance to housesit here, do it, you won’t regret it…but we might beat you to it, because we’d love to return someday!
The sitting was great, first of all Paulo and Marta are so nice they help us with a lot of stuff like the car, parking, hospitality they’re really good people. The house it’s beautiful and comfortable also the location. Then the cats are the most adorable they are always looking for attention and love. So Luke and Leia are one of the most especial dogs that we met , yes the bark and they don’t get nothing well with other dogs but it doesn’t matter cause in other hand you will fall in love with them and they with you. We had so much fun playing with them and going for walks. We will totally recommend this pet sitting!
The animals were adorable, but I had some hiccups during my stay. Andrea's place wasn't as clean as I'd hoped, despite her assurances. Dishes were left in the sink and there was a lemon on the counter that looked like it had been there for a few days. The bathrooms were a bit grimy, so I ended up skipping my shower there and decided to shower at my moms house throughout the weekend. I also wasn't sure if the sheets were clean, so I crashed on the couch with my own blankets. Andrea casually mentioned the pets needed meds and special care the night before I started sitting during my visit to pick up the keys. These things are normally in the listing and chatted about beforehand. Plus things were only told to me verbally, and not written in the welcome guide. Overall, the pets were sweet, and the neighborhood was nice. With a bit more attention to the little things, it could've been a great experience.
