Giselle kept my Dog Elijah for 5 days and kept me informed on how he was doing daily with pictures and text messages. Gisell is amazing! I was super nervous to leave my puppy because it was our first time being away from each other and my first time using a dog sitter period but Gisell really helped ease my nerves with her updates. I have used Playful Paws Petcare multiple times to care for my sweet fur-baby. Gisell takes great care of him and he always has the best time making friend with other dogs and playing! Due to his sensitive skin and stomach issues, he needs medications administered and close eye to monitor if there are any issues to arise, which Gisell does a great job. I always receive updates and photos of my pup! I highly recommend using Playful Paws Petcare!!!

Gizell is wonderful! She is very kind and has a beautiful, clean home and set up for keeping animals. Nice fence too! I am so happy to have chosen her to care for my 4 dogs!! She handled that crew well, no doubt! She kept in touch every day sending pictures or videos, which was fun for me to see. During my trip I felt very confident that my dogs were safe and happy! She was also very flexible with our flight schedule with leaving very early morning and coming back late at night. She's the best! I wouldn't hesitate to use her again for my pet sitting needs. Kenny walked our dog for a year. He was a consummate professional and obvious dog lover. Our dog always looked forward to his walks with Kenny. My wife and I could rest easy at work knowing Kenny would be taking care of him while we were away. He was easy to work with and always clear and concise in his communications with us. Kenny is wonderful, and our pets adore him. He takes loving care of our dog, cat, guinea pig, and parakeets whenever we travel, which we do several times a year and often for weeks at a time. We appreciate that while he cares for our pets, he's also able to keep an eye on our house in general, watering plants, and collecting newspapers and mail. Kenny is very reliable, and responds promptly when we e-mail him from our travels. We and our pets are very satisfied Fan Sitter customers!

We had Kenny take care of our cats off and on during our nine month stay in the Fan District this past year. Kenny took superb care of our two little critters and our apartment when we traveled. He even volunteered to help us after we moved back to Pennsylvania by making sure our mail was been picked up. I moved to Richmond 3 years ago and was lucky enough to find Kenny Williams aka The Fan Sitter. He is extremely prompt in getting back to you. He has been responsible for taking care of my 15 year labradoodle many many times and always confirms if Tag is still taking this medication or that one. One trip, Kenny emailed me letting me know he didn't see the peanut butter Tag liked, so he went out and bought some. Kenny is conscientious and very professional. I had a new puppy and did not feel comfortable leaving him just anywhere while I worked. Bow Wow Kitty is wonderful. I took my Golden Doodle for grooming at Dogs Day Inn. Jess, his groomer, is simply amazing at her job. I really didn't appreciate how talented she is until I had another groomer cut him a few months ago. Her attention to detail, technique, and ability to shape my Doodle's hair is what sets her apart from the rest. If you want a professional cut for your Doodle, call dogs day inn and schedule and appointment with Jess. I promise you will not take your dog anywhere else after you experience her expertise.

Dogs Day Inn is the only place I trust for my dog! While they may not be the newest facility around, the staff's warmth and friendliness more than make up for it. My dog absolutely loves it here and is always happy when I pick her up. At some of the newer places, my dog has come home scared and anxious, but at Dogs Day Inn, she never wants to leave! The care and attention they provide are top-notch, and I know my dog feels safe and loved every time she’s there. If you're looking for a place where your dog will be treated like family, this is it. I can't recommend them enough!

We always board our two dogs here. They come home happy and tired from all the fun. It's the staff that keeps us coming back. The facility is not the newest or best appointed facility in town, but the people make the difference for us.

My dog absolutely loves this place. We had tried multiple other places (for boarding) and I had found that he was incredibly anxious entering and leaving all of those other places. But with Dogs Day Inn I found that Archie has been repeatedly excited to enter and is always happy and not at all anxious when he leaves. It appears that they pay close attention to each dog, and give them love and care while their owners are away! Couldn't recommend it more.

Our doggies seem to always enjoy their kennel stay at DDI. We opt for them to get a bath before pick up. Their fur is so soft with a nice fragrance.

Great family oriented services. My babies get boarded and groomed here. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years and I’d dare not dream about taking them anywhere else. My dogs (Dutch Shepherd and a Yorkie) start turning in circles and whining as soon as we pull into the parking lot because of their excitement to go in! I have to tell them to stop it because it’s so annoying 🙄. It was so bad one day I had to call the owner because I was so tickled at their behavior. It’s like instant gratification for them and they know exactly where they’re at. I have recommended this place since I found it back when Paige was the owner, and now that her daughter Kris has taken over I still have the same stance! There’s no place better that I’d trust with my babies. So much so that even my mom started boarding her babies here. Great job to the team! You’ve gained a loyal customer for as long as I’m in the area!!!!

Absolutely adore this doggy daycare. First, kudos to them for their required human tour. Aspens been to several doggy daycares and NEVER have I seen the inside of one. Our tour was at 10-11am, so there were already dozens of dogs there. The facilities are so beautiful, clean, and organized, AND they are staffed 24/7! I am obsessed! They are incredibly attentive to the dogs and truly seem to love their jobs. I’m very happy with my decision to move Aspen to Toby Town. They work with my crazy EMS hours on the weekend, allowing Aspen to be dropped off early for a small fee. They also have pools for the water lovers, like Aspen, which is so fun for her. I’m so happy with Toby Town and am thrilled to have found her such a caring, compassionate, and safe daycare!

Our 12 year old adapted Labrador, Bogey, loves Toby Town! Every time he comes home he can't stop talking about what a wonderful stay he had and how kind and attentive all of the staff members were to him. He loves the amenities, the indoor and outdoor play areas, the optional snacks and the overall cleanliness. Suffice to say, if Bogey is happy, we are happy with Toby Town!

Our pup has had a great time here and comes home exhausted. They offer amenities that can make your life easier (baths, etc). Place runs like a well oiled machine and go in get plenty of pics at the end of the day!

Tobytown is by far the BEST daycare and boarding facility in Richmond, VA. Gloria and her staff truly care about the dogs and their safety and comfort. It is the ONLY dog care facility you can walk in that does not smell AT ALL! No odor in any room or outdoor area. We leave our dog for long stays and he comes home happy and healthy. Tobytown posts lots of facebook and IG pictures to see how your dog is doing for daycare and lengthy stays. We appreciate Tobytown so much!

Best day care ever! Every single staff member works hard to cater to your dogs needs. My dog Charlie absolutely loves it. He has a little bit of separation anxiety and they care for him so well. They are friendly during pick up and drop off and they will work with you on times and days! Toby Town is kind, friendly, clean and safe for your dog. My husband and I bring our boy Murphy to Toby Town once a week. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. He always looks SO happy and as soon as he sees where we are going in the morning, he is crying out of excitement. I have small dogs and was a daycare novice prior to Toby Town. With a new puppy I wanted to make sure she was socialized so I began looking at daycares for her. After visiting several facilities I chose Toby Town because it was clean, bright and seemed to be staffed with grown ups. I liked that they didn't use crates and seemed to want to meet the needs of the pups first vs the needs of the facility. Having my puppy at Toby Town has been a great experience- the staff is consistent and communicative, and I feel like they keep an eye on her (as she's only 8 lbs). Quite honestly, she is the best dog and people socialized of my pack and I feel I have Toby Town to thank for that.

Best dog daycare in the area!!! We have tried several dog boarding options, and we believe Toby town has the most personal care and is the best value for what you pay. I don’t know how they have collected so many wonderful staff members, but we enjoy all our interactions with the employees and owner!! They remember my dog Wally and talk about how it went at the end of the weekend.

The staff at Toby Town are fabulous. My pup loves spending the day or several nights at Toby Town, and I always know she'll get great care. It's a great place to take your dog for day care and boarding.

Toby Town is amazing! My dog Titan loves to go there and they take great care of him. The place is beautiful and cleaner than any human day care center!! Gloria, the owner, treats my dog as if he were her own. I wouldn't hesitate to board him there because someone is always there to watch out for him. I can't recommend this facility enough!

This five star review is for the groomer at Pets at Play (can’t speak to daycare or boarding, as I’ve never done either). I have a 9 year old doodle and trust me, finding a groomer who is not only willing to groom your doodle but also does it well and with a good attitude (many get annoyed) is rare. I always leave happy! He does a great job and in my experience $100 for ~the works~ is affordable. So glad to have found him!

Our little dog loves boarding here. She plays with her little dog friends and gets meals on time. Grooming here is first rate. We bring her in every six weeks. There's a new groomer and he's great

My dog loves Pets at Play! I have been taking Ollie to Pets at Play for daycare, overnight boarding and grooming for over a year now. He is a sweet but sensitive dog. Pets at Play is the only dog boarding and grooming place in RVA that he enjoys going to and being at. The groomer is always very thoughtful about grooming Ollie the way I like. She called me before she groomed Ollie just to confirm she knew what I wanted from his cut. Very blessed to have Pets at Play in our lives

When I tell you my baby loves this place!!! He is a mamma's boy, if he doesn't know you he will not go near you. BUT when we come to Pets at Play he runs right through the door to the day care and grooming! He comes home tired from day care so I know he is playing and having fun!!

Only been here a few times but I am now a loyal customer! They must be doing something right, because now every time I walk my dog he tries to pull me in the direction of Pets At Play. He is so ecstatic every time we go, I am starting to bring him there just for fun in addition to out of necessity! Do note: if your dog is over 70 lbs they won’t be able to be boarded overnight due to kennel sizes, but they do wonderfully accommodating larger dogs in daycare! My pup loves Pets At Play!

Came here for their grooming services and was not disappointed! They were polite and informative when I called with questions and were super friendly in person. And they made my pup adorable! Will definitely return for future grooming services and daycare services.

My westie,, Tucker loves this place to play. I think he has a girlfriend there. They are kind, courteous and true animal lovers. This is the only place he’ll play with other dogs as he never plays outside my home with any other dogs male or female.

I booked grooming for my dog a month ago and was very clear (in writing) about his large size (~100 pounds) - they even said it was fine in writing. I drove 40 minutes to get there and as soon as I was pulling into my neighborhood after drop off, the groomer called to say that my dog was too heavy to fit on the table/a leg of the table was breaking. He made sure to mention that it was not my dog's fault at all/he was fine. He said he has been trying to get new equipment for grooming from management but they're refusing. What type of table doesn't hold 100 pounds? I drove for 2 hours total between 7:00am and 9:00am all because they couldn't provide the groomer the correct equipment to provide grooming services to my dog. It's not his fault in my opinion, but if he knew that size would be an issue, they should have let me know well in advance, as I had booked it a month ago. My dog used to go to Pets at Play about two years ago and there were not issues then (and he was around the same weight). Very disappointed in the lack of communication and lack of resources to provide grooming services. A word of advice to management: do not advertise grooming for dogs of all sizes/approve grooming for larger dogs if you cannot actually do it.

We used to be faithful Pets at Play customers for over 3 1/2 years, having taken our 4 year old since she was a puppy, and our 6 month old for a solid year at least two days a week for each. Over that time, we’ve provided them thousands of dollars in revenue, somewhere around $8k-$9k between daycare, baths and the occasional boarding. In March of 2019, we sent our older dog in for her regular daycare appointment and requested she get a bath and her nails trimmed. When we got her home, we noticed she was licking her paw quite a bit and saw one of her nails was badly damaged, split, and beginning to ooze pus. No one at Pets at Play called or told us her nail was damaged, even though they said her nails were cut. We emailed the owner with our concerns and received a call back from an employee, who specifically told me she was calling as to not cause any confusion, but they could not get their story straight. To me, it sounds like they didn’t want a paper trail of any potential responsibility. One person said the nails were cut, then the groomer said they did not need to be cut. If the nails got cut, why did no one tell us they damaged her nail? If they did not need to get cut, that obviously means you checked them all, right? And if you saw one was damaged, why were we never told? Whatever the case, our dog went to daycare just fine, but left with a badly damaged nail which required sedation and surgery the next day to the tune of $275 in vet bills. Whether our dog’s nails were cut, Pets at Play was negligent at best, and deceptive at worst in trying to conceal or claim ignorance of her injury. Finally, to add insult to injury (literally), I went into their online system that weekend to cancel the next two daycare reservations (because our dog needed to be at home to recover from surgery), and they had deleted all of her reservations for the next year without telling us. I never said anything to them, so why would they delete our standing reservations? It doesn’t seem like a good business practice to alienate loyal customers as we have been for years. The way Pets at Play treated our dog, my wife and me is no way to treat loyal customers. We’ve always enjoyed taking our dogs to Pets at Play for daycare and boarding, but I no longer have any faith in how they treat us or our dogs. We will not be returning, nor can I recommend their services.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful PETs at PLAY is! Dixie knows when I say "want to go see your friends" exactly where she is going and doesn't even look back when we hit the door! That is how I know, PETs at PLAY is the absolute BEST. Dixie has only ever stayed the night in her entire 11 years with my parents, PETs at PLAY and me. I LOVE the emailed pictures throughout the day of her literally smiling and having fun! I am particular because she is such an important part of my life and choosing a daycare and place to board seemed impossible until we experienced PETs at PLAY. Dixie's excitement when talking about, going to and spending time here is exactly why PETs at PLAY will be the only place we go!

In my opinion, this is the best facility by far. The staff are remarkable, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful. The facility is impeccably clean, they go all out on holiday decor. When your pet gets picked up after daycare, he is usually exhausted, a sign he had a very active day.. The boarding facilities are great with different accommodations to choose from, the training staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Only had one grooming session and it was superb. Highly recommend Holiday Barn. Especially if you have a puppy. Bring it in for training and daycare and your puppy will be well socialized and have the basics in training. Every place has issues from time to time, but Holiday Barn is a pristine place, with a remarkable and might add numerous staff,& great accommodations.

Such a great place! My little girls are very shy and sensitive pups they get extremely nervous when we drop them off for vacation and the employees are very friendly and patient with them when we come back we get a little paper that tells us how they were and what they were up to! Such a sweet place!

My dog has attended daycare twice a week at Holiday Barn for about 2 years. She loves all of her counselors and gets excited to go to daycare. We also use their boarding and grooming services regularly. My dog is always wearing a cute bandana after grooming! They are more expensive than other places but the level of service and care for our dog has made it worth it. I also love the extra enrichment activities offered like birthday parties!

When I first started bringing my pet here, I was really happy to have found a place worth the while who took care of my pet. After my 3rd visit is when things started to happen. First incident in May/June, I got the bath/haircut with the itchy scratchy package. Lauren bathed him and his skin became inflamed within 30 minutes of leaving the resort. I called and spoke with Heather, grooming manager, who offered to bathe him again the very next day which I obliged. When I asked about the products used I never got an answer but was told I needed to take my pet to the vet for his allergies. I’m aware of his allergies so I try to combat them both inside with what he eats and outside as far as products used. Second incident was in September where I again, purchased the itchy scratchy package and Brandi bathed him. Yet again, his skin became inflamed and very hot within minutes of leaving the resort. I called and left Heather a message and to date have never received a call back or anything. If I could give 0 stars I would for how negligent they were and not wanting to tell me what the products used are. Again, I’m aware of his allergies so not knowing what’s being used on his skin is why I won’t be returning. $115-130 per visit here has cost me a $300-500 vet bill since nobody wanted to say what the name of the product was or what all is in it to prevent the inflammation from happening.

I had recently been taking my miniature dachshund to Holiday Barn, but I will NEVER bring him back. The first red flag I noticed is that they didn’t feed my dog when I dropped him off for his dog training. I ignored this and kept taking him back. This last visit was the last straw. When my father picked my dog up he looked skinny and he looked nervous and flustered. He was so ready to get out of there and he finally got back to his normal self when we brought him back home. I’m so lucky that nothing terrible has occurred after reading these horror stories. This place is overpriced and they won’t even treat your dog well. If you love your dog don’t have them come to this place.

We took our standard dachshund Mila here after several neighbors recommended Holiday Barn. We only had her for 3 months but had made travel plans over a year earlier to spend a week in France. Boarding her so soon worried us. The staff at Holiday Barn was very kind and helpful from the start with the reservation and vaccine questions. On drop off the staff really put me at ease with how kind they were to Mila. The same great experience was at pickup and we could tell Mila had been in good hands. She was excited to see us but looked great and the same kind staff member i left Mila with was the one the helped us at pick up. She informed us how Mila did all week. They also had great notes and info on how she did at the day camp that we enrolled her in a few times that week. It's great knowing we now have a facility we can trust to leave Mila with when we travel.

I was so nervous and anxious about boarding my 10-year-old cat for the first time; he has recently diagnosed diabetes, which requires daily pills, and boarding him for the week we were out of the country was the only option for us. We went to tour before committing, and they were so welcoming and took us right back to show us everything in person. I was even able to pick the exact kitty condo my boy would have. At drop-off, they let me help set everything up and say goodbye, and weren't judgey at all about all the things and information I brought with him (lol). I was able to text to check in everyday, and they were always prompt with a response! And pictures when I asked! My boy is easily stressed and needed additional medication to help manage the anxiety, but they were so supportive about it. He even came home with some written updates on his stay, which was such a nice surprise! Boarding a cat probably isn't ideal in most cases, but I genuinely feel like they met him where he was and I am so grateful for that. It also meant so much to know he was safe and taken care of, and getting his meds properly while we were gone. I hated being away from him, but I wasn't worried about him. I highly recommend Holiday Barn (we were at the Midlo location)! We couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience and I'm so relieved to know we have this option in the future!! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of and loving on my sweet boy, Ketch!!!

I don’t understand why this place is allowed to operate and I hope someday soon it’s shut down. In 2021 I sent my two beloved dogs there for a week while I went to the mountains for the only solo vacation I’d taken in years. I called every other day for a check-in, and was told, ‘they’re fine’ rather laconically. I wish I had listened to my gut. When I picked them up both dogs were covered with bloody sores. They had been groomed, and the sores should have been noticed and reported, but no one had apparently paid any attention to them. My big lab - the most extroverted of dogs - was shut down; my smaller dog was shaking. I brought their condition to the attention of the staff, and they sent out a manager, who didn’t apologize, but proceeded to grasp my dogs - who were cowering in the back of my car - to try to position them for photos, until I put myself between him and them and said, ‘Stop touching my dogs.’ When I took them to the vet the next day, my smaller dog had lost a quarter of her body weight - in a week. Since then I have heard horror story upon horror story, from veterinary professionals, trainers and friends. Perhaps the worst came from one of my doctors. HPB sent his dog home with a broken leg and didn’t mention it. I regret not writing this review sooner, but it was an awful memory. My big dog died later that summer, and I have to live with the fact that I left him in that terrible place. Please don’t sent your animals there. I don’t know why they treat animals the way they do, but it isn’t kind, and it’s barely humane. (I’m giving them one star because you can’t post a review without a star and because at least they didn’t return my dogs dead; but please do your research and read all the other reviews on here about all the other traumatized and starved dogs they’ve sent home. Dogs don’t just bounce back from experiences like this. Mine didn’t. Yours won’t. Keep them away from here.)

The only place we'll take our puppies for overnight travel! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The check in process is efficient. The puppies get total pampering with the facilities including private rooms with windows, tvs and bedding from home. A pool and other enrichment available. Our pups even got stockings on Christmas! We have also completed on site training that has been the same amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Great facility. We housed our pup here for three days and he had a great time. They took pictures and answered all questions. They took my phone calls about checking on my Murphy. If they didn’t answer they were prompt in returning my phone calls. Murphy loved to swim. The facility is clean and efficient. Thank you for caring for my baby! After the initial upsetting moment of not taking our old cat, we wanted to give this place another try. We now understand why you didn’t take our cat, I was just frustrated with lack of communication at the time (3 years ago).

Haley is the absolute best pet sitter that we could ask for! She genuinely cares for our dogs, even despite their barky nature. We have used Haley on multiple occasions and I have such peace of mind for our dogs when they are in her care. Every time we come home we can tell that the dogs were well loved and our house is in great condition. Haley is quick to respond to messages and communicates regularly. I highly recommend her services to anyone who is interested.

Haley is wonderful business owner and pet sitter. She is responsive, caring, and truly looks after your pets with the same attention and love that you would yourself. It's a comfort to know she is there with them, and I appreciate the extra mile effort of keeping us up to date. So many amazing things to say about Haley. We have used her twice for overnight stays with our 2 rescue dogs. First of all the communication before and during is effortless. She texts almost immediately if we have questions or if we are just checking in. Also, she is very prompt. If she says she will arrive at 3 pm she will be there. I was a little nervous using her the first time just because we had never left our pets with anyone other than family. We went away this past weekend overnight and she stayed with our pups and I had zero worries and knew that I could text or call at anytime. Both of our dogs love her and she always sends us adorable pictures. I would not use anyone else. We have several upcoming weekend getaways coming up in the Spring and we will definitely use Haley. We feel so blessed that we found someone that truly loves what she does and it shows!

Haley has cared for my dog Calvin for nearly four years now, and she is wonderful. He adores her and we think of her as part of the family. He has canine epilepsy, and though it has been well- controlled for a couple years now (fingers crossed), he has a somewhat complex food and medication regimen, but Haley is always on top of it and is more than capable of handling it. She has done both drop-in visits and overnight house/dog sitting for us, and she takes wonderful care of everything. She is a "natural" with animals and I absolutely recommend her.

I cannot say enough great things about this business! I reached out to Haley to check in on my cat while I was out of town, and I do not regret it one but. She responded to my inquiry very quickly and was easy to chat and schedule with- we even scheduled a meet and greet for her and my cat. She was thorough and thoughtful in asking questions- she even cleaned up when my cat dumped her litter box over, lol. Haley took great care of my cat and I will definitely choose All Animal Care and Pet Sitting the next time I go out of town.

Oh my gosh.....where do I even start on Haley?! Is there a way to leave more than 5 stars? Let me start by saying I was impressed when she didn't run off after meeting with me.....I think I may be one of the worst helicopter fur-moms and the pickiest about my animals care, in the world. That being said, it is hard for me to even explain how grateful we are to have found her and have her in ours/our animals lives! She is so knowledgeable and understanding, and goes above and beyond every single time. Our animals, who sometimes take a while to come around, took to her instantly and are familiar with her face now and look forward to when they get to see her. I think when we came back from a trip, they were more sad that she had left. She remembers every little detail and for someone that gets so beyond stressed leaving their animals, that is so, so helpful! She checks in on our animals (one of them has some life threatening health issues) when she doesn't have to, and knows the way we want everything, every time. I used to not be able to leave without writing a book of instructions and being panicked the entire time I was away...and even with all the things our animals require and everything she has to remember, she still finds time to send pictures, give additional updates and go the extra mile for us and our pets without us even asking. I cannot explain the gift this girl has for this or put into words how much I recommend her. She has been a blessing to us and we are so thankful for her every time. If you want the best care for your animals, and I mean the best, do not consider anyone but Haley!

Fantastic service from a top rate pet sitter. Haley takes the most amazing pictures (side bonus when she is watching our pup!) She is always reliable and responsible and we don’t ever worry when she is pet sitting. Also a great communicator!

I have been using dogservices since 2019 for daycare, boarding, and grooming. My dogs come home tired and happy! I have been very pleased with the care they receive. They will greet our dogs by name, the staff are friendly and kind. Management is great as well. I really appreciate the quality care my dogs get I highly recommend dogservices!

My dog is a rescue so he has severe anxiety at daycare and boarding facilities. However, he has learned to love it at Dog Services. The staff are very patient, kind and gentle and go to GREAT lengths to make sure your pet feels comfortable. First class facility with first class staff. I won't take him anywhere else!

Really happy with the quality of care my dog receives here. The facility is very clean and the staff are very friendly. They take the time to support my dogs training while also snapping great photos. I also really love the doggy report cards! Highly recommend!

I have had nothing but good experiences with DogServices! I wanted a good boarding/daycare place for my lab after moving here, and I definitely found that! I love their online reservation system, their easy drop/off and pick up, and how happy and tired my dog is after his stay with them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they open at 7:30am on weekdays, which is inconvenient as I am already at work by then. I absolutely recommend DogServices!

Galahad has been going to day care for a few years now and the staff has been great! He loves it and never hesitates to run into the hands of the staff. When he was rescued, other day cares were at capacity and Dog Services was able to accommodate him right away, we have been going since. At times, your dog may need a "quick rinse & blow out" instead of a full grooming session, this is a great perk I've used often. Would highly recommend if your pup needs attention while you're at work!!

Best dog day care facility in Richmond. The employees at Dog services are always so willing to help and deliver expectational customer service. One employee that stands out to me is always Mackenzie. Mackenzie is always a pleasure to speak with over the phone and is always very sweet patient. My 2 year old lab mix Logan always comes home a tired happy pup. Look no further for a dog day care / boarding location in Richmond.

Place is a great way to keep your dog socialized. The staff is nice and we trust them with our two pups. Their environment nos safe and they have a great process to figure out if your dog is a good fit for their day care. Give them a call.

I can't stop bragging about how amazing this place is. The staff is absolutely amazing, and you can tell they really love their job and care about the pets they take care of. They are really thoughtful about the groups they put together for daycare, and safety is clearly top of mind for them. Our pitbull, Penny, LOVES going there, and she always gets SO excited when we pull up. We've never boarded her there (because we have a house/pet sitter that comes to stay when we go out of town), but we absolutely recommend daycare.

We can't say enough good things about Dog Services. We have taken our dog for both day care and boarding for about a year now. Our dog Luna has seperation anxiety but when we drive up to Dog Services she pulls us in and seems so happy to be there. It always smells and looks clean and the staff is very friendly and genuinely seems happy to see Luna when she arrives. Luna is always a happy (tired) pup after going to Dog Services.

Please, anyone boarding or doing daycare here PLEASE know, as said directly to me from a team member and a member of management - they DO NOT SUPERVISE your dogs. My dog was left alone outside and sustained minor injuries, before his playmate even arrived. Their direct answer to how he sustained such injuries were, and I quote “we do not supervise them”. I’m not upset at his scrapes, I’m not unreasonable. My fear in this is that he could’ve escaped (they claimed he was injured while trying to get through the fence) but beyond that, dogs are dogs. Even the best of friends can decide they don’t want to play and especially unfamiliar dogs could certainly end up setting boundaries that could result in a fight. To hear my dog faced minor injuries, saddening but understandable. To hear the excuse for those injuries was that they do not supervise animals was unacceptable. That is purely what we all are paying for - supervision in our absence. It was not made clear to me in my year and a half of boarding, nor anywhere else on their website, that dogs are unsupervised while in the yard, with or without other dogs. I think it’s important for anyone currently utilizing these services or considering to in the future that it is made clear that these animals are let out to play and, in the words of two separate team members, left unsupervised.

My dachshund loves this place. When we get there, he charges right in. They are always interacting with the dogs. Taking many pictures with them especially holidays. On my trial day, I was able to tour the whole facility, and it was clean and no smell, and I was amazed by that. The staff does an excellent job. Here is his Halloween picture.

This is the Puppy Place! My little puppy had such a good time here. I don’t live in Virginia and I needed doggy care because I was on a work trip but my doggy had to come with me. They were excellent getting me in…she did a meet and greet and then was able to schedule immediately afterwards. Best of all I could tell my dog really like this place, she was so happy when we pulled up in the morning. The staff here is amazing and you can tell they take great care of the doggies there. They also send pictures of their day with a report card. Hands down the best place in Virginia for your doggies!

Little Dog Services was great to work with given one of my guys has some separation anxiety and we were worried about boarding him overnight. They worked with us to make both dog and humans were comfortable. He really loves his time there because when we pull in the parking lot he starts jumping to get out the door to play with friends.

My dog loves loves going, she gets so excited when we get close as she knows where she is going. Friendly staff and great prices. Holli did a great job today giving her a gorgeous haircut. ❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely love this boarding kennel for my cat Bear. They take such excellent care of him and provide updates as requested. They also were able to accommodate his 5 day stay at a last minute request. Wonderful group of people here ❤️

We have been going to Little Dog Services for over 8 years (since puppyhood). They love and treat each dog like their own. I highly recommend them and their amazing staff. Some places may be fancier, but what a pet cares about is love, safety, and fun. Little Dog Services delivers.

I've given Little Dog Services an opportunity to remedy the situation and they haven't taken it upon themselves to get back to me, so I am posting this review. I took my dog to daycare for the second time on Saturday and picked him up around 2:45 that afternoon. When I got home, I did a thorough check of him because he seemed to be covered in dried saliva and as you can see in the images below, he was either bitten or scratched repeatedly by another dog in his groin area. This is NOT okay and definitely not the result of normal play. No one mentioned anything to me when I picked him up. One of the scratches look fairly deep so I ended up taking him to the emergency vet where they disinfected him and told me to keep an e-collar on him for the next few days to prevent infection. They weren't sure what exactly the cause of it was - either bites or scratches. I talked to one employee over the phone who, not only did not even express any condolences, tried to tell me that he was the biggest in the group and she didn't see how anything could happen when they were "playing". I emailed these images and was told someone would get back to me. Haven't heard a thing in over 24 hours. Do not take your dog to Little Dog Services. This is direct evidence that they are not properly supervising or intervening in play when necessary. I even had told them that my dog has a tendency to be submissive and bring out the bully in more dominant dogs. It is obvious they are not dividing dogs into appropriate play groups as advertised. And if an issue does arise, they will not handle it in a timely manner.

I love the staff at Little Dog Services! They go the extra mile every day to make our dogs happy and safe. I cannot thank them enough for the special care they give to both of my dogs. Truly awesome!

This place is lovely. The staff make my day every time I pick my pup up with their kindness. And I can tell they truly care for my dog. Don't bother with anywhere else. I switched here for daycare from a big chain and couldn't be happier with the change.

My dog is always eager to enter the building so that is enough for me to know she loves it.
