There is only one word to define this housesitting: wonderful. I don't have enough words of gratitude to express it. Lee is a fabulous woman, approachable, empathetic. She made it easy for me to feel at home and I felt really welcome. I was fortunate to be able to talk with her a lot and I have to say that she is a very interesting person. Chaplin, the cat, is the smartest cat I have ever met. He's even trained, it's mind-blowing. He is a super sociable and affectionate cat, that kind of animal that fills your heart with joy and becomes your friend in three seconds. He loves to play and I guarantee you will laugh with him. On the other hand, as a good feline, he needs his moments of independence, so he is a perfect balance. Taking care of him is very easy because he is very well educated and doesn't get into mischief. I am absolutely in love with this kitten. Finally, Lee and Chaplin's home is one of the most beautiful houses I have ever cared for. It is in the most beautiful village in the region, in the medieval area, and you are going to feel like you are in a fairy tale in this house. The decor is absolutely exquisite, the whole house is full of beautiful details that make you wonder and smile at such beauty. Lee has an aesthetic eye that is off the charts. The house is also very comfortable: really bright, with a balcony overlooking France, fast internet, all the amenities for cooking... I have been better than in a 5 star hotel. I can only say wonderful things about Lee, Chaplin and your home. I hope you are lucky enough to try this experience, I recommend it with my eyes closed. Gracias Lee!! Cariños a Chaplin!!

We really enjoyed our housesit for Fab, and fell in love with their two characterful cats - Tom and Mittens. All our chores were well-documented and we also had a really comprehensive tour on arrival the night before! Over and above that, Fab and her family were extremely generous with information on what to do in the area, and in allowing us to use their household items. It would be a pleasure to house- and catsit for them again, should we be in the area.
Where does one begin to recommend a sit as amazing as this one? Suzanne and Mark are absolutely fantastic fur baby parents. From start to finish, they were both terrific communicators and it was quite easy to build a rapport from the very beginning. By the time I arrived for my sit, I felt that we were already friends, and they certainly made me feel welcome. They are both well-traveled, interesting, intelligent, and organized. These attributes attributed to the ease of caring for their babies and their home through a well laid out welcome guide and efficient communication. Though it is not expected or required, they left me beautiful flowers and a fine wine that Mark went to great efforts to meet my preference of choice. Their kindness and thoughtfulness were much appreciated and made me feel special. Their home is a lovely sanctuary filled with positive energy, unique attributes such as the outdoor sunroom for their kitties, and a lovely backyard deck enhanced by birds, views, and charming lights in the evening. While Suzanne and Mark are certainly gems and their home a gorgeous retreat, the real cherries on the top of the ice cream sundae are their crew, as I call them. They are the sweetest kiddos ever, seriously, you will adore them. Let’s start with Natalya, she is definitely the queen of the family and she does not hesitate to let you know that she is the desired one. Her antics of aloof posture humored me and actually challenged me to see if I could break the ice that she pretended was part of her personality. Sure enough, through patience, chatting softly, and extending little treats here and there, she decided that I was worthy of her attention. I felt like I had won a gold medal when she finally bestowed her attention on me. Roscoe was the guy of the house, he easily adapted to me and enjoyed any and all attention that I bestowed on him. He followed me around and if I went in search of him, he would immediately come to me for petting and spoiling, all of which I was thrilled to provide. He is soft-spoken, a quiet introspective kinda guy with eyes that search and ask for your time and loving. He is quite smart and will direct you to his favorite lounging spots in the house, all while inviting you to share in his company. Roscoe is such a treat! Leela is a little sweet girl. She is curious, inquisitive, and social when she feels inclined. Though she was initially cautious in her interactions with me, she quickly warmed up to the thought of another lady in the house that would spoil her. I often found Leela laying near me as I studied and interacted with her brother Brodie. At times, she would take some encouragement to come to me for petting and my want to love on her; but providing patience was well worth the reward of the opportunity to spend time with her. She even would sleep with me at night! She is such a sweetie-pie, and by the end of my sit, she was laying on top of my chest and purring in my ear as we had our special morning time together. Now Brodie is very special. He is slightly on the untamed side with a bit of feisty little boy character to boot. He is not apt to immediately warm to your attention, though it is apparent that he wants it. He kept me constantly laughing as he would tease me into thinking he was going to cuddle and snuggle with me on the couch; but if I reached out my hand too quickly for a soft pet he would shoot off and look at me as though to say, “who said you could pet me?” Eventually, we came to an agreement. I would not give pets unless invited, and he would lay near me on the couch or near where I was studying. A treat was always welcome and he would give you a little sly look as he took his paw and batted it in the direction he wanted to snack. My favorite area of the house was the unique enclosed outdoor sunroom that provided the cats with the ability to sunbathe and enjoy the outdoors without worry that they would be harmed or leave their home. They enjoy their time out in the sunroom each day. I would often sit out there with them, I think this helped them to decide that they loved me as their sitter. I am a full-time home and pet sitter with more than 85 five-star reviews. I have cared for many animals, and many families, with numerous experiences and wonderful opportunities. I highly recommend Suzanne, Mark, and their crew of kitties if you are looking for a sit that will make you feel special, and welcomed, and one where you can enjoy the company of these amazing babies. Pepper and John provided detailed instructions for caring for their home and pets as well as suggestions for enjoying the area.
