Absolutely a top of the list sit!!! Kip is the perfect partner for exploring all of the beautiful areas surrounding Ulverston. there are never ending walks to take - and the lakes are even close enough for a visit. Donna basically invited me to come and stay for two weeks prior to the start of my sit so I popped in for a few days & then went exploring for a few . We had several very good dinners before they left on their vacation- Donna & Graham are great fun and opened their house to me as if I was family. Tinsel and Finn are beautiful cats- with distinctive personalities- but easy to care for (food is their only real priority). The house has everything you could possibly want or need, I especially enjoyed the well stocked kitchen with all the appliances you could ever need! My only challenge was deciding where to go each day for our walk. Ulverston is a great little town with good restaurants & pubs.. highly recommend this sit-I could have stayed forever….hopefully they will go away again next year so I can come visit!
I had a great time staying at Vania's beautiful home! Catman the cat is the most relaxed cat and he's super affectionate. Okay, so he might wake you up when he's ready to eat in the morning! The house and yard are gorgeous and visiting in February, it was plenty warm to sit outside and also enjoy the hot tub. The house is in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Napa itself is gorgeous and the off-season turned out to be a great time to be there. Recommend!
I had a lovely weekend with Wilf, Boo, Inka & Alfie. I met Erica & Eddie the afternoon before to go through everything I needed to know. Communication was easy & clear, I felt very well informed in all aspects of caring for the house & pets. Which in turn made for a really easy stay. We had a lovely evening together & fabulous fish pie dinner. Erica’s homemade brownies could win awards! The cottage is absolutely beautiful with a pretty garden & own woodland. Being completely surrounded by fields means there was a busy local community of deer, pheasants, owls & even a little stoat that hops around the garden occasionally! My idea of heaven. I loved taking Wilf & Boo around the field. They loved their walk but were equally happy to return home to the warmth of the Aga. Both were so good. I would highly recommend this sit. It is a real gem! Erica & Eddie were so kind & appreciative. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was immaculate & very cosy. A 5 star sit in every way.
What can I say, Golden was an amazing host who quickly turned into a friend I will cherish for life. I fell in love with both kitties and Cheetah needed lots of attention as she's still only a kitten but it was a fun experience in a quiet Portuguese village. I look forward to watching her grow
We had the most wonderful time on this sit which felt like a proper holiday in the countryside. Beth and I had a great video chat prior to confirming. Beth and Ben are so warm and friendly; they greeted us upon arrival and casually showed us around their beautiful(!!) home and filled us in on Mollie and the house. Mollie is utterly charming, and was the perfect furry friend for our Yorkshire escape. She loves having her ball thrown for her, but is reluctant to give it back to you for another throw 😄 she keeps her nose to the ground and is happy as ever on walks. She was incredibly well behaved when she had to be showered after each muddy walk and so patient in the car on trips out. In the evening in front of the TV and every morning we had so many cuddles, she made such a gorgeous, snuggly and affectionate friend. Beth and Ben (and baby Theo) were so lovely and relaxed, encouraging us to eat up things in their fridge and picked up some treats for us to enjoy. We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to sit again - we miss Mollie so much, she really made a mark on us! ❤️
A short but very sweet visit to Emma and Tom’s beautiful cottage. Otter and Mouse were very happy and attentive and we all enjoyed our walks. Very peaceful area with the bonus of a micro brewery within easy walking distance! Clearly a thriving business with lots of walkers and dogs, and outside seating. Would be pleased to be invited back one day, excellent welcome guide. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.
