Adrienne was such a great sitter! She was extremely helpful and communicative with us while we were traveling abroad to Peru. She gave us regular updates and photos and when anything came up she immediately communicated with us to make sure we were all on the same page. She kept the place very clean and also had everything in its place and laundry done when we arrived home! We would highly recommend Adrienne to anyone who is looking for a reliable sitter. Thank you again Adrienne!!!
We very much enjoyed looking after Wolfie and Chester, who we found to be easy and lovable. Wolfie loved playing and Chester seemed more of a philosopher. It almost felt they were part of our family for a week! Communication with Emma and Adam was very easy going, pleasant and very helpful. They made us feel very welcome and staying at their house was a joy. It felt very luxurious, had all the mod cons and had a lovely garden we all enjoyed. Our eldest was particularly taken with the supersized bathtub, because he is 6’3’’! And what beautiful surroundings! From the house we took some scenic walks in the countryside. We all experienced the peace and quiet we were looking for on this holiday. It was a great experience and we can highly recommend it!
Sitting for Bob and Denise was an excellent experience. They’re thoughtful, hospitable, and very well-organized. Coco is an endearing cat, who LOVES to have her cheeks brushed. A week before the sit started, Bob and Denise invited us to meet Coco. They explained how to operate the many special features of their beautifully appointed home and ensured that we knew where everything was located. As detail-oriented people, we greatly appreciated their comprehensive “Welcome Guide”. Coco is a delightful cat. While she occasionally ventures into the garden, she prefers to spend her time indoors. The gentle tinkling of her bell as she moved from one cozy sleeping spot in the house to another quickly became a favorite sound. Even though she’s a senior cat, Coco still has a playful side. Her favorite games involved “surprise” attacks on the staircase and hide and pounce. While Bob and Denise’s home must be lovely during all seasons of the year, we felt blessed to be there in the Spring. The magnificent cherry tree in the front yard was just coming into bloom when we arrived so we had the pleasure of admiring it daily. It was even more magnificent in real life than it is in the photo in their listing! After experiencing all sorts of weather (sunshine, rain, sleet, and even snow!) during our two-week stay, we can assure future sitters that Bob and Denise’s home is a cozy haven on a cold day and a blissful retreat on a sunny day. Nestled between the woods and a green common, there are plenty of walks straight out the front door. A farm shop with delicious cheese, fresh eggs, milk, meat, fruit, vegetables, etc. and three pubs are all within easy (10-20 minutes) walking distance. Stéphane and I wholeheartedly recommend this sit and would gladly return. Thank you, Bob and Denise, for inviting us to care for Coco and your lovely home!
I loved catsitting for Lesley and Andrew in the small village of Horncliffe on the beautiful Tweed River, and staying with the lovely Miss Portia Cat for ten days. I would be delighted to return and do it again. Portia is a sweet girl, really affectionate, with a lovely chirruping purr. She requires some extra time and care with her diet, but once I had learned her food preparation and feeding routines things went pretty smoothly. And she is a dear funny little cat, and good company. Meanwhile Lesley and Andrew are two of the best hosts in the world. They were extremely helpful, welcoming, and generous with their time and energy. They invited me to spend some time with them before and after their trip, cooking delicious meals, driving me around to beautiful places in Berwick Upon Tweed and in the nearby countryside, introducing me to friends, and taking me to a wonderful music night in the village meeting hall where an array of talented local musicians were performing. These were some of my favorite travel experiences that I’ve had, and I so appreciate all that Lesley and Andrew did to make this happen. I didn’t have a car while I was staying with Portia, but I loved sitting out in the quiet of the back garden with her, and exploring the village and taking walks along the beautiful Tweed River. I also found it pretty easy to catch busses and rides with a neighbor to get in to Berwick Upon Tweed and Spittal, the towns at the mouth of the Tweed River, with expansive river views and ocean views and intriguing small shops and cafes. All in all this was a great experience, and I can highly recommend it!
Doodles have such personalities, these two are no exception. We had a wonderful time with them. Batman just kept us laughing. He has hops. They all love to snuggle, the closer the better. Kate instructions were very thorough. I love that she had a book with everything laid out for us. I like to refer back at time.
I cannot say enough good things about Cathy, Wayne, and the pups. I had such a WONDERFUL time there. Cathy and Wayne’s plans changed and their trip time was reduced so they gave me the option of changing my plans or coming and spending the extra time responsibility free to explore the area. I chose the latter and stayed in their wonderful in-laws suite which has a separate entrance and is very comfortable. I ended up spending a decent amount of time with Wayne and Cathy while I was there - they are an awesome couple and I really enjoyed spending time chatting with them. The pups were awesome and so dang cute. Hope (boxer) is sweet and goofy. The corgis (Bonnie and Trixie) are hilarious and super fun. Going for walks with all three at the same time was not in the cards for me, so I walked them each separately. They’re really SO EASY to watch. They play with each other and will play with you too if you want. They also love their time out back and will run around and chase each other and it’s quite entertaining. Port Angeles is a smallish place but there is lots to do, especially if you’re into nature and hiking. Huge portion of Olympic National park are available to you both in Port Angeles and accessible by short (in my opinion) drives. And there is a ferry across to Victoria, Canada as well if you’d like to go there. I highly recommend Cathy & Wayne’s place and Port Angeles area!
Sitting for Colleen and Sachi was a breeze. Their home and cats reminded me a lot of my home and cats and it brought me so much ease. Their space is clean, cozy, bright with lots of natural light and clutter free. They were so sweet letting me come in a day early which I appreciated so much! Dazzle is a sweetheart. Her and I hit hit it off after a day or two because she meowed at me and gave me the sweetest headbutts on the couch! She loves to play and she LOVES to watch and hunt the birds! Skippy is the most obnoxious, loud, nosy cat I've come across, and I LOVE it, haha! He welcomed me as soon as I got into the house and he was so affectionate. He's a bit of a mama's boy and very much will interject when I gave attention to Dazzle or had my attention elsewhere. He kept me on my toes though! You gotta make sure not to leave food out or he WILL get it. The cats together can spat and fight as it was communicated in the clear home guide that was left for me. It could be difficult to focus when they did fight since I worked remote, but I made it my mission to try and get two to three extensive play sessions in. Especially with Skippy. He can sometimes hunt Dazzle, so getting that energy out of him is crucial. Regardless to say, I had a wonderful time sitting for Colleen and Sachi. They were communicative, their home was cozy, and their neighbor even greeted me and gave me wonderful recommendations too! I would absolutely sit for them again.

I am so pleased with Sarah at Border Bears. My 14yr old dachshund has just stayed with her for 4 days and 4 nights and has come back extremely happy. I received updates promtly from Sarah when i txt her asking how Daisy was and a photo. I will be using Sarah again for sure even if its just for the odd day out. Thank you once again. Daisy will miss you and your dogs.
Avoid at all costs…Please bear with me as this is a long one. My two dogs have just spent 3 nights with Sarah and I wanted to send some feedback. As follows: Thank you for taking care of the boys from Tuesday until today; we truly appreciate your help. I wanted to share a bit of feedback, if that's alright. First and foremost, we were grateful that you took the time to call us and discuss our requirements. It was reassuring to know that you are licensed and insured. I also loved that the boys had a trial day to ensure they felt comfortable with your home and dogs. That said, I must express some disappointment regarding the lack of updates on how the boys were doing. Mike mentioned on Tuesday afternoon that updates would be appreciated, especially since his phone was acting up. However, by Wednesday morning, we hadn't heard from you. After reaching out that morning to check on them, we still didn’t receive any pictures or substantial updates, and we ultimately didn’t hear anything at all. While I understand you may have wanted to avoid disturbing us during our wedding, I hope you can appreciate that the boys mean everything to us, and being in a new environment (even if they've been with you during the day) is still concerning. Additionally, when our friend came to pick up the boys, we found their food in the fridge only at dinner time. Upon opening the box, we discovered that all four meals (two for each dog) had gone moldy. I apologise if we failed to inform you that the food needed refrigeration, as it is fresh. However, I am very disappointed that it returned to us in that condition. The boys were with you for three days, and we always keep their food in those containers in our fridge without any issues. I sincerely hope the other meals they had were not in a similar state. Furthermore, the boys' food bowls had not been washed or cleaned since breakfast this morning, which raises questions about whether they were cleaned at all during their stay. While we are grateful for your willingness to help us on short notice, we will be seeking other options in the future. The response I got back is as follows: ‘Firstly I was under the impression you were getting married so "updates" unless urgent would only alarm you Secondly the food was kept chilled until thus morning and i washed up each receptacle as it was used. Thirdly the feed bowls were washed up daily but not this morning. You are entitled to use who you wish but you should perhaps inform them that they are likely to "mark" indiscrimately in the house whuch perhaps may make them think twice.’ My response: Thank you for your very swift and if I’m honest, passive aggressive response. We 100% informed on the phone that Duke scent marks and you said you would keep him in a room with no furniture, so you are in no way in a position to be rude about that. I think perhaps there have been crossed wires about the updates as certainly regardless of where MY clients are going, I always ask if they would like updates. To return dirty bowls to us having given them to you clean is pure laziness and we accommodated you needing to go to an appointment this morning by asking a friend to collect them, so the least you could have done was run them under the tap. I do not appreciate your tone and I think it’s extremely unprofessional. Good luck in the future! Sarah’s response: ‘It’s a pity you cannot see that the dogs are fit, Healthy and focused on 2 bowls, the food was chilled so you are at fault. Grow up!’
Amazing match was found for my dog while we were away in Asia. And am now about to book another pet stay . Fantastic service. You can completely relax it is extremely well run.
Am yet to use the service, however communication excellent, immediate response to email, most helpful and good advice. I contacted them because of good recommendations.
Wasn't interested in looking after our dog, after we enquired about dates they were already busy on they said they were busy and couldn't help, when asked about other dates they didn't respond to messages.
Bobby Greenmile was so excited to arrive at Pampered Pets Hotel, I could tell by his little smiling face. The owner is so knowledgeable and understanding of all dogs and how much they mean to their owners. Would 💯 recommend. …
Very professional and helpful would highly recommend this place for you dogs they love it. Will use again soon book early to avoid disappointment.
I would have no problem reccomending Pamered Pets to anyone, the dogs are treated like you treat them yourselves . We have rescue dog from them, Ronnie's her name and she is absolutely wonderful and spoilt rotten by all who meet her. We l9ve her to bits and so does her doggie brother Charlie.
This is the first time we have had to use kennels and so pleased we found Pampered pets Hotel. Jane and her staff were so welcoming and friendly and our little boy Coco was treated as one of their own. A superb doggy hotel in a beautiful house and gardens. Very professional and Highly recommended
My 2 yellow labs appeared to love their stay here whilst we went on a 1200 mile round trip to Scotland. Staff are friendly and accomodating and the dogs run in and don't stop to say goodbye to us so I guess that says it all!
Absolutely fantastic place to house your dogs whilst your away. Very well priced and friendly staff. We’ve used fantastic pets multiple times over the past few years and still can’t believe how good they are.
I am so pleased with the grooming provided at Pampered Pets. My rescue puppy (Binky) came to me very matted - so matted her coat had to be totally clipped. This was done without causing Binky any stress and I know she feels much better. She will now be able to have 'normal' grooming. Thank you. Kris
Be very careful they only care about making money we got a dog from them he turn on us they knew that he had problems. I wanted to know what happened to him as we had falling in love. They said they had found him a home far away turns out he was living in the same village as us and again they had the same problem. Emma dose not care about the dogs at all be very careful this sort of thing has happen again and again with them. I still think of him every day.
This is such a special holiday home for your beloved dog. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My beloved Casper went there for the whole of his life....always bouncing out of the car to greet his friends and 2nd family at pampered pets. Now my Poppy follows on in his paw prints and loves to be there also. Home from home.
Jane, Steve and all the staff really do love the animals in their care. "Joe" was clearly very well looked after and seemingly would happily have stayed longer than 2 weeks!
My dog loves it here. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.
We went on a short vacation and could not bring our puppy with us. Happi Days looked after our little boy very well during our trip. Throughout his stay, they posted pictures of all the dogs in their care, so we could see how he was making friends with other dogs and was enjoying all the playtime. We recommend this great dog care place!
Our sweet, little dog stayed here for four nights. For the amount that we paid Happi Days to look after her, we then had to pay more than that again in vet fees to make her better after her stay. She came back to us filthy and stinking. Worse, she was utterly traumatised. Wouldn't move, wouldn't look at the kids, just absolutely a changed dog. God only knows what happened to her there, but it clearly wasn't good. She wouldn't eat for the first few days, and when she eventually did, she vomited it up again. Needed a load of medication and vet care to get her back to her usual happy self. Horrified by what happened to our poor dog. Goes without saying, will never use them again.
Our Jack has stayed at Happi Days several times while we're on holiday, and he seems to have a good time. They post photos on Facebook so we can see how he is.
We love them and our dog Amber loves them. We could not look after our furbaby without them. She was a very nervous and stressed dog before she started attending Happi days and now is lovely and relaxed and gets along with other dogs. We are so grateful for Helen and Emma and the team
absolutely fantastic, excellent qualified staff and plenty of them to feel assured your loved dog is in safe hands, plus they have loads of different areas and woodland walks, I know Queenie will always come home tired after non stop playing and she loves going there and good for her to socialise with other dogs. recommend ++++
Took our Cocker Spaniel there today for grooming. We attend Martlesham Happi Days but no groomer at present. Very welcoming staff and (Amy)? did excellent job with groom. Well satisfied and highly recommend.
Diablo loves this place, he can’t wait to get in there! Exceptional care, they really go above and beyond to look after our dogs. Thank you Happi Days!
Had my dog groomed there for first time am so happy with the result will definitely go back
This is an absolutely brilliant facility. Mabel loves it and all the staff love the dogs. Great socialisation, fun and care. Very flexible when needed.
We have used Fordleymoor for 20+ years for our dogs and from when they started looking after cats. Our many dogs have all enjoyed their holiday with Julie and the girls over the years and are so well cared for. We wouldn’t trust anywhere else with our fur family and think they do an amazing job, Thankyou
Great kennels, and a lovely team looking after the dogs. After several years of taking my dogs here, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
My boys love it here!! Always happy on arrival! Highly recommended!
Have been using fordleymoor for years now and can only say how great they are. Our dogs love being there and the staff are all really nice. 5 stars from me.
Fordleymoor, Julie and the rest of the staff are the best! My animals are cared for with 100% love and professionalism. I leave them with complete peace of mind and confidence. Nothing is too much trouble, even taking my cat to the vet for a weekly check up. And the dogs get very excited as soon as I drive in. I'm so grateful for everything they do.
Our two dogs love going to Fordleymoor kennels. They perk up as I drive them there and scratch to get out of the car! And they get get an hour's walk a day at home, so their life is already pretty good! It's great to know that when we go away they aren't going to be miserable. Highly recommended. Thank you Julie and your team.
We have boarded both our cat and dog here. The staff are friendly and the kennels are professionally run. The accommodation was spotless and I would have no hesitation in recommending. These comments come from a couple who have previously run a highly recommended boarding establishment themselves.
Wouldn't trust anyone else. Our dog never looks back and drags the poor girl along to the kennels lol. Highly recommend Fordley Moor.
I've had my dog stay a few times now. This place is very affordable with a great standard of care. She's always happy to go and happy when picked up. What more can you ask for.
Just visited to assess this kennels and am really impressed. Each kennel is clean and spacious. Many returning 🐕 dogs which is supported by the number of thank you cards on the wall. …
Our little lab attends Happi Days every work day and absolutely loves it. They celebrate the dog's birthdays and always have themed events depending on the time of year. They also offer a discount if your dog attends more than a certain number of days a month. As of September we won't need daily day care for our pup but we'll still take him in on the odd occasion to see his pals.
So, so happy with the discovery of Happi Days! I thought it was just day care, I wasn't aware of the grooming service, a friend recommended them. We had Sophie as our groomer, the whole experience is a good one. You can feel the lovely atmosphere the second you walk into the place. Never been so impressed with a groomers, can't recommend them enough. I'd also like to point out the value for money. The amount of "extras" you get as the standard package is brilliant. For example, Pets At Home would charge extra for the nails cutting, Happy Days don't, that's just a standard thing they do.
my doggo loves it there always comes out happy and the staff are very caring xx
Amazing staff that really are great at what they do and always super cheerful and friendly. Oh, and Zed always comes home tired, which is a bonus.
Great daycare. Competitively priced. Opens at 7am unlike many others.
Lettie loves happi days. Initially, she was shy but now can't wait to run in!
Seems like a lovely place: we were looking for options on day time care from a surprise dog arrival. However, the cost was too much. I must specify that this is not a reflection on this company specifically. Dog daycare in general is an expensive cost which was something we cannot afford. This looked like the best in the area!
We take our dog to happi days and as soon as we mention the word she gets really excited. They do so much with her from partues to agility, walking in woods.
Plenty for dogs to do. They offer extras too for busy owners, like wash, groom, woodland walks. They take photos every day so you can see what your pooch got up to. Our dog has been for two half day sessions and comes home whacked but happy. Opens early and finishes late to fit in and the offer over night stays too.
Our dog goes to Happi Days Dog Day Care every week day and comes back home very tired so she must definitely enjoy her time there! They put daily pictures on facebook so that we can see what our dog has been up to. Staff are friendly. They also offer wood walks and other treatments but we have not tried them. I would definitely recommend them if you have got a high energy dog like ours (she's a beagle!). The price is also competitive in comparison to other creches.
