Kathy and Ron took care of my home and my cat. I came home to a clean home and a well cared for cat. The only issue I had was communication was difficulty during the stay, as I was unsure how to get in touch with them. If you sort this out before the sit then you should have no problem! Normally I would choose a sitter that was not working full time and would be at the house more, but I was growing a little desperate as the dates grew closer. My dogs can be a bit energetic! They were well taken of and exercised. I didn’t take into account for the amount of rain that occurred while we gone, which undoubtedly caused a lot of muddy paws and clean up! That must have been a bit of a pain, as they are large brown dogs! There were some towel casualties….but nothing too bad! House was relatively clean, a couple of items that didn’t make it back to the rooms…but no biggie. All that really matters is the animals!
Our first house sit was absolutely perfect. Great communication. The little 3 musketeers were a delight to look after. Excellent recall and well behaved off lead. Guinea pigs just needed feeding. Looking forward to being asked to house sit there again. Bonus was having fresh coffee every day. Thank you Dawn & Andrew.
Just had a great stay caring for Exie! The sit started off well with Peter welcoming us, showing us around the beautiful house, and introducing us to Exie. Exie was so sweet and very easy to care for. She sat by me monitoring the backyard as I worked and she was very excited to join on car trips for nearby hikes. The house was great with lovely views of the mountains. Peter communicated well throughout and Exie was such a treat to spend time with!
The house is in a lovely position with pool and beautiful views. The whole family were so friendly and welcoming and cooked us dinner the night we arrived. The dogs were easy and sweet and didnt need a huge amount of work- some gentle walking and playing. Would recommend!
It was an absolute pleasure staying with Omi! He is the sweetest kitty with such a fun personality. We had a great time together. Bobbi and Doug were such a courteous and lovely couple; they left detailed instructions and we stayed in contact throughout my stay. I would sit for them again at their beautiful home in Santa Fe in a heartbeat!
We had a great experience cat/house sitting for Melanie. She welcomed us at the train station and guided us to the short walk to her lovely apartment overlooking the Petruse Valley and old Luxembourg. Her very comfortable home, excellent location and two friendly cats made for a delightful stay. Melanie was very accommodating and had excellent suggestions of side trips for our stay. Bibi is the perfect hostess! She immediately feels like a great friend, and she spent time showing us around her charming house and neighborhood to let Sydney become comfortable with us before our stay. Her house is very comfortable, with décor that is artsy and fun. It is located in the best part of Austin, and we took advantage of her restaurant and activity suggestions, all of which added to our stay. Sydney is beautiful and regal, and she welcomed us like family. Look her in the eye from across the room, and she’ll interpret it as “come hither.” It’s very sweet, and there’s no turning back. She’s coming for a hug and belly rub! She’s wonderful to love on and a delightful companion. Sydney responds well to most commands and will “sit” or “stay” until you end the command. She enjoys her walks and stays next to you most of the time. Her cat curiosity is strong, but we held her on the leash, and she was OK once we went past. She was easily refocused. Sydney is going through training, and we saw improvement in the short time we were with her. I’m sure she will work through her distractions very soon. She’s a very smart dog! We would love to stay again and highly recommend Bibi and Sydney!
