We had a great time sitting for Gus and Hobbes! Everything was perfect. It was very easy to talk to Alys before our arrival and during our stay. Gus and Hobbes are extremely lovable, and very sweet. Alys’ house is situated in a beautiful neighborhood with plenty of nice places to walk to, restaurants, etc. It is a short hop over Charleston downtown and very close to the beach too. We really enjoyed this sit and would definitely recommend it to anyone!!
It was an absolute pleasure to house and pet sit at Orchard House. Anne and Archie were very welcoming and we found we had lots of shared interests. Saffy and Ruby are very well behaved and completely adorable so it was a pleasure to explore the local walks straight from the doorstep. The goats are entertaining and the chickens are no problem at all, just 5 mins required, morning and evening. The house is delightful and very comfortable. A newish self-build but well disguised with lots of interesting older architecture. I hope to house sit for them again, and thoroughly recommend to others.
Spent a lovely long weekend with Frippy’s wonderful dogs Sambar, Lagertha and Nelly and a quartet of ducks. Her lovely 5 bedroom farmhouse sits in beautiful countryside with stunning views of the Cheviots. Waking up in the morning to that view was delightful and sitting by the huge roaring log fire in the evening with a wee glass of red surrounded by the dogs was just bliss. The dogs can be walked safely in the surrounding fields and the many quiet country roads. When they weren’t out with us they snoozed the day away so no trouble to look after. They are though very affectionate dogs and gave us all the cuddles we wanted, loved them. We can’t wait to sit again later in the year when we can hang out with them and this time we’ll take the bikes and explore the little quiet lanes and quaint villages roundabout. If you get the chance to sit here do not hesitate – its fab !
