Stephen and Anna were great hosts and I much appreciated the evening meal when I arrived. The house is in a peaceful location and very cozy, warm and comfortable. Jack and Barney are a gorgeous couple of boys and pretty laid back - Jack keeps to himself more but still enjoys a bit of fuss once he's comfortable with you being around. They're both really sweet and no trouble at all. I didn't explore the surroundings much on this occasion but very much enjoyed just a nice relaxing stay in the warm, in a lovely old house with two chilled out cats, thank you!
This is a lovely sit. The house is absolutely gorgeous and so very comfortable. It's located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood, but is walkable to the cute Hillsdale town center and a short drive to downtown Portland. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants and the deluxe farmer's market on Sunday. Luna and Bailey were goofy and lovable. They have a dog door so could go in and out at ease. They were very easy to take care of. Danielle was a great communicator and flexible with out travel plans. We highly recommend this as a great sit in the Portland area.
Our second sit for Martyn and Ann, or at least for their lovely doggies. Izzy thinks their house is a second home, loves the garden and the nearby walks. We get to enjoy a very comfortable home. Many thanks 😊
I spent two weeks in Denmark and it was an absolutely great experience!!!! Rofus and Mei-mei are WONDERFUL dogs. They are modest, cuddly and have a lovely character. Both behave like siblings and play together in the big garden. Toffee is an unproblematic cat; she spends a lot of time outside or sleeping in the house. Jess, Nathan and their boys are a LOVELY family :) and so easy to communicate with. They replied super fast to any questions I had before and during the stay. Thank you for all your trust - it made it so easy for me to feel like home.
This was a great getaway from city life for me! Katrina and Kevin's house is in a quiet (except for jets overhead... it's your own personal air show) and relaxed neighborhood. The house is so comfortable and I loved having the pool and hot tub right there when I couldn't get to the beach. Of course the weather was perfect for me, so I was so happy even to sit by the pool and work on my computer! The pets are all sweethearts! Nellie (the dog) took a little bit to warm up but then we were best friends. I took her to the boardwalk one day in her stroller and she loved it! Just sat there like she was in a parade waving at all her fans! The cats are well-behaved and sweet. Would definitely sit here again!
Sonja and Steven are caring, thoughtful owners that are great to work with. They put us at ease from the outset. They were excellent communicators throughout the whole house sitting process and provided helpful insights that truly made our stay easy, effective and pleasant. As well, we really enjoyed the wide ranging nature of our conversations. In a very short time, It felt like we were speaking with old friends. Lily and Finnegan are a couple of super cute Boston Terriers with high energy needs. They are a load of fun to be with. Lily is a champion ball chasing athlete and responds well to focused attention to indulge her passion. Finnegan is the most affectionate pup you’ll ever meet and will insist on making you his BFF before you leave. The house is on a lovely country road which is great for walking. In fact, five minutes before our arrival we spotted a fawn just off the road within 500 metres of their property. Sonja and Steven’s modern home is designed with a view that captures the beauty of surrounding nature. It’s also very nicely furnished with all the comforts one would want to curl up with, sip a cup of tea and read a good book. We would highly recommend this stay!
