Tina and her animal-loving 2 boys (never met them, but saw cute pics) took wonderful care of our dogs and cat while we were away for a week on vacation. I really appreciated that Tina kept us updated with a daily photo of their park visit, showing the pups getting in good walks (which they love). Tina is punctual, kind and I had great peace of mind knowing our animals and home were in such loving care while we were far away. Would highly recommend.

Linda
What a privilege to sit for lovely people in a fascinating place. Linda and Dave were very generous with their home, food and even a tour of the next door island to theirs. The dogs need to be managed as they are rescues but are actually very good natured. The cats tell you what they need including strokes. I spent hours just looking at the views. I didn’t take up the offers of a car and a bike in the end and went for local walks to a beach with nobody else on it, the school garden, a stunning cemetery looking at the sea and the local harbour. Perfect!

It was a pleasure to look after Legolas while Sarah and her husband were away. Sarah is extremely organized and it was great to meet before the sit which made the coordination smooth. Legolas was both welcoming and comfortable with having me in his home, and onboarded me quickly with his routine. He enjoyed the many options of napping spots and will entertain you with races, play and grooming sessions.
Legolas is a sweet and beautiful cat who also likes his independence. Sarah’s place has a homy vibe that allowed me to retreat and get comfy during my 6-weeks stay. I slept very well and left this sot feeling refreshed and recharged.
Thanks for having me!

Lupa is a very sweet dog and I enjoyed very much staying with her,
Julia has a lovely house in the countryside not far from nice woods and fields in a peaceful village, On the other hand, it is not far from Oxford.

Elisabetta
I thoroughly enjoyed this sit. Communication with Elisabetta was great and is a lovely person too. . The pets are wonderful with an interesting backstory. Trippa is an absolute baby. She loves being petted and getting reassurance. She adores going out and would spend the rest of her life chasing aquatic birds. She has heaps of energy too so needs good long walks. Fortunately, there are loads of options for that in lovely The Hague. Bwino is one of my favourite cats I have looked after (and that's amongst stiff competition). He also loves being cuddled but, like most cats, will come to you for them rather than the other way round. He's top quality company.  Leidenschendam is a friendly little suburb of The Hague. The Hague itself is a short tram ride away and is totally worth strolling around. It has some awesome cafes (the ones you can spend the day working in). I would recommend this sit to anyone

Cat
A charming property, very old and sensitively restored. Wooden beams and plaster walls throughout. The house was cosy, with a beautiful wood burner and underfloor heating in some rooms which I miss now that I am back in my own home! This sit might be a challenge for anyone who is taller than about 5 foot 6 inches. I did need to learn to duck going through some of the doors but after a few bumps I coped with no problem. If you are 6 foot you would need to mind your head pretty much everywhere!

Cat left the house very organised and anything that I needed while she was away would arrive on the doorstep within 24 hours.

The two cats Bertie and Mabel were delightful. Both are enthusiastically friendly with never a claw or play-bite even when in ecstasy from being scratched and stroked. Mabel would spend the whole day with me sitting by my computer screen purring and occasionally patting me politely with her paw to prompt me to stroke her.

Bertie would occasionally join us during the day to ask for food but he would spend the evenings curled up with me when I was watching the TV and actually watched as well with a special interest in anything that involved animals or fast movements.

I became something of a cat photographer, trying to find novel situations to capture as Cat and Jo appreciated daily updates.

While I was at Redlands Farm I visited the local pub, The Mulberry Inn, which is a 2 minutes walk from the house. The food was very good and I can thoroughly recommend the pork bites for a starter. A big plate of those would have made the perfect main course.

All in all a lovely house sit. Thank you Cat, Jo, Bertie and of course Mabel who (sorry Bertie!) stole my heart.
