We absolutely loved our time in Angela & Dick’s beautiful home with their gorgeous dogs. We were very warmly welcomed with a delicious home cooked meal the night before the sit and felt really comfortable with everything we needed to have a great sit . Gracie was so easy with her gentle nature and was very much admired by passers by on our walks. Sammie was such an interesting dog with the most beautiful eyes! He was a pleasure to look after. It was hard leaving them behind! We would highly recommend the opportunity to sit for such generous and welcoming hosts who made us feel so at home.
Leo and Mila Rose will keep you entertained while you enjoy a beautiful house in the NC mountains with a gorgeous view! We actually spent most of our time on the large wrap-around porch during the delightful fall weather and the dogs liked the outside air too. They let you know when they need to be walked for their business and the neighborhood provides dog bags and disposal trash cans. James and Deb were wonderful hosts that provided everything a sitter would need and more(thanks for the local beer and the accommodations in Cashiers on the pre-sit night). The questions we encountered were promptly answered by text which is always important to sitters. The area around Cashiers is delightful to explore and be sure to stop in at the town market so you can see the beautiful 7 or 8 golden retrievers that greet customers as they work alongside the owners of the market. I went several times! We were just content to stay at the house and enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings and enjoy a peaceful respite from our busy working lives. We would definitely sit for Leo and Mila Rose again. It was my first encounter with a whippet and I was delighted to find him so gentle, sweet and loving. I have owned several beagles so Mila Rose was also a delight to love on. PS: I thought I had posted this review shortly after our sit but just discovered that I failed to submit it. We both highly recommend this sit.
First of all, I want to thank Antonio and Sara for choosing me and supporting me when I had questions or doubts. I was with Mio, Mia, Casper and Romeo for just one week, and it was a wonderful one. It is difficult to find such calm and sociable cats: they immediately welcomed me into their pack and followed me wherever I was (perhaps perched on a stool or curled up in one of their kennels): Romeo in particular was my shadow. Home - a perfectly organized apartment- was a magical place: bright, warm and welcoming, it perfectly reflected the presence of a loving and harmonious family. In short, there was such a beautiful atmosphere that leaving it to go out was almost a shame. Once outside, I found myself in a modern neighborhood, with shops, services and lots of greenery, well connected to the centre but sheltered from the hustle and bustle typical of Rome. What can I say? I hope I can come back for another cat mission!
It was a pleasure to house sit for Nick and Laura, they left us very clear instructions and were contactable throughout our stay. Arthur & Albert couldn't have been better and we really enjoyed spending time with them, and the chickens!
Nos encantó pasar el fin de semana con ellos. Jo tiene una casa preciosa y unos perritos encantadores. Desde el primer momento ella fue muy hospitalaria y muy comunicativa. Arenys de Munt tiene un parque precioso para pasear a los perros y es bastante agradable pasar las horas caminando por allí con Derek y Peggy. I had a positive experience in Klamath Falls. Ellen communicated leading up to the sit, and David conducted the orientation upon arrival. Their home is situated high on a hillside overlooking the basin. To the west, from the living room window, the sun sets beyond the mountains above Upper Klamath Lake. On clear days, to the south, Mount Shasta is visible from the kitchen window. The guestroom was comfortable, with plenty of storage, a bathroom & a smart TV. Playing with the ball is ritual for the 3 dogs: Grandma Daxx, and the 2 teenagers, Mo and Merlin, love to play inside and out. The fenced-in backyard is spacious, with generous terrain to run. When it comes to the ball, Daxx is the most serious and accurate. Merlin is the fastest, and jumps very high. Mo would prefer to be petted. If he perceived an advantage, he could surprise me with his ability to chase down and catch the ball. Merlin can be rough with Daxx, but she's a tough old girl who can be assertive. Both Ellen and David showed me how they mixed up the dogs' food. After awhile, they got bored with the canned food, and they liked when I mixed in people-food, instead. Mostly they liked meat-based flavors, but I found they would eat diced potatoes and pieces of cooked carrot. Up behind the house, there are some trails through the foothills. Nearby, by car, there are 2 grocery stores. Crater Lake is over an hour to the north. Be advised, there will be ongoing road construction, in sections around Crater Lake, through the year 2025.
