We were able to secure a last-minute sit with Nikita that was for more than three weeks. We are so thankful that Nikita chose to watch our two dogs and our home. She did an outstanding job, and we would welcome her back to our home again and again. Darla and Marvin happily greeted her when she arrived to meet them (and us) and to learn about the house. We immediately knew the dogs were very excited to have a new friend to play with. While Nikita was getting settled in, the dogs followed her around and welcomed her to our home. They were at ease with her in our presence, but what made us really happy was when we saw all of the photos/videos Nikita took while we were away showing the dogs in her lap and just lounging around next to her as she enjoyed the outside views or worked on her computer in the office. The dogs did the same things with her that they do when we are with them. Their routine was not altered, and they were content. We knew the dogs were in good hands. Nikita is a person who appreciates the peacefulness that our home provides. She enjoyed yoga by the pool, and she even sent us a few adorable photos of the dogs trying to do yoga on her mat. Nikita visited a number of the places in our community that we suggested to her, and she spent time exploring the surrounding area. Nikita is brilliant! Her intelligence will amaze you, and her desire to make the world a better place is tremendously refreshing. She effectively communicated with us through email and text while we were out of the country. She was highly responsive, and we never had any concerns about the care that she gave to our dogs. Our home was left spotless even though we told her that she didn't need to do much before her departure. It was clear that Nikita took her job as a "Trusted House/Dogsitter" very seriously. She is a kind and genuine person who took phenomenal care of the dogs and our home. When we returned on Christmas Eve, it was obvious that the dogs missed her because they kept running from room to room looking for her. Nikita was so thoughtful that she left Christmas presents for them to help them remember her. They loved their presents from Aunt Nikita! Nikita loves to travel and explore new places, and she's probably already planning her next exotic escape, so if you have the chance to work with her, you should probably confirm dates with her without hesitating for a single moment. You wouldn't want to pass her up...your pets (and you) would most certainly miss out on making a great connection with an incredible human being.
