Natasha and Greg are very approachable, helpful and responsive to queries. It was really lovely to meet them and their family at the start of the sit and Natasha took the time to show us where to walk the dogs. The house is on a country lane, rural and peaceful. Fall asleep to pitch dark listening to owls, wake up to Max licking your arm. We had a downstairs double room with a very comfortable bed & use of an upstairs bathroom. The whole house felt very homey and comfortable. We pretty much only used the kitchen as it has a tv area with sofa too. Due to sitting whilst major landscaping works were taking place in the back garden we did not use the outside facilities much but there was ample outdoor seating to relax on, there is a huge garden leading to woodland and the dogs can roam freely off their leads when taken for walks. Some of the lower garden is left to nature and the dogs loved sniffing out mice, rabbits and frogs, rarely managing to catch anything. The dogs know the rules and are very easy to look after, get on well and play together. They are both very friendly and would bring us a furry cushion which they eventually destroyed by playing tug-of-war. Millie is the older, more docile one but she can play and run when she feels like it. More often than not she would wander away from you when walking but return after a minute or two, and she also knew the way home so would be waiting in the garden for you if you were slow. At home she would sleep by your feet or looking out the kitchen door. Max is the younger, slightly more boisterous dog who would play or go for walks 24/7 if he had his way. He would rarely leave our side whilst walking but when he did run off it was great to see him chasing imaginary rabbits! He would lick you constantly if he could. At home he would be as close to you as possible, and would sit on your lap if he could!. Both dogs pretty much stayed where we were; whether it was in the kitchen, bedroom or garden. Mango popped in and out for food, we usually saw him sitting on the windowsill or drive waiting to come in (I think because the builders were in the back garden he didn’t use his catflap). He was happy to have a stroke and cuddle, even the odd play (he’d do anything for a dreamie) and would occasionally sit on our bedroom windowsill of an night before going out the window. We loved giving them all attention. We would most definitely sit again if we were invited and if the dates are right.
I recently had the pleasure of cat sitting for the adorable Panya, belonging to the lovely couple Ursula and Farzam. Panya is a highly expressive feline who has a remarkable way of communicating his needs, making it easy for anyone to understand him. Their home is not only cozy and welcoming but also conveniently located just a minute away from a bus stop, which was perfect for commuting to different parts of Brooklyn during my stay. Ursula and Farzam are exceptional hosts who were not only kind and gracious but also excellent communicators, ensuring that everything ran smoothly during my time caring for Panya. Their hospitality and warmth made the experience even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this cat sit to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitting opportunity. Thank you, Ursula and Farzam, for entrusting me with Panya and providing such a fantastic environment to care for him.
