I had a lovely week in this beautiful English village with boisterous and happy dogs Tula and Django. In spite of rain we had lovely long walks in the surrounding fields and woodland and I am really looking forward to returning in the Autumn.

Everything about this sit was special. Tom and Tanne are a wonderful couple, loving people who truly welcomed us into their home. The best word to describe the custom-designed house is "spectacular". We were blessed to spend the Christmas holidays in this mountain-top retreat with their sweet animals. Joe Pye was aloof at first but quickly warmed up to ear scratches. Sadie loved to go for walks and howl through the woods after deer. Emmy Lou is very playful, and Harry Archer, the cross-eyed kitten, almost got smuggled into our suitcases. We will always have very fond memories of our time in Brevard.

Coming from the Canadian Rockies, Terry & I throughly enjoyed our housesit as well as the adventures we had with Fergus, Monty and Alfie. These boys have personalities and were easy to get to know. Their unique home, Wier Cottage, gave us a wonderful introduction to a UK way of life including the use of an AGA. The location of the property is ideally suited for walking, bird watching and day dreaming. Alison & Jim were ideal hosts who communicated quickly answering any questions we had. We would have no hesitations in returning. Sincere thanks to Alison & Jim.

Brian & Amy
Brian, Amy, Rupa, and Freya are exactly the kinds of friends and family you need in your life. My new two legged friends were fantastic hosts, supportive sounding boards for my explorations, and they went above and beyond to make sure that I had a wonderful time seeing Alaska while loving on their pups.
Their home is warm, welcoming, comfortable, and dreamy with the sweet shed to work from and gorgeous flower bower and fire pit to enjoy in the evenings. The bed is a perfect cloud, the water pressure is great, and it was a lot of fun playing with local, organic, (even homegrown) produce in their kitchen. The location is excellent, you're very close to breweries, groceries, and several fantastic day trips. The car is in great shape and manages the dirt roads and trails really well.

Rupa and Freya are sweet, snuggly, sassy little pups. Well behaved, excellent companions, always up for an adventure, and ready to rock a great trail or long walk around the neighborhood. They bark to protect the house and occasionally around new people and pups, but they listen really well. They will need 2 good walks and at least 60 minutes of running around each day, so be ready to go exploring with them. If you love playing fetch, you'll have found your match as Rupa is a tireless ball player.

I had a friend join me for part of the trip, and I felt much more comfortable walking them both in the woods with a buddy so we could both be bear aware and each take a pup. We saw multiple moose and signs of bears in the nearby woods. Amy and Brian have tons of bear spray and will talk you through what you should do if you encounter wildlife in the woods.

I enjoyed every encounter and interaction with Amy and Brian, I was sad to leave their little ladies, and I had an absolutely amazing Alaskan Adventure. I couldn't recommend this house sit enough and would absolutely be back in a heartbeat.

Fiona
We met up with Fiona, Robin, and their two daughters for a family meal the night before they left for their vacation.
This was really enjoyable and helpful. It meant we could walk the dogs on their favourite route and get familiar with their daily routines.
The highlight of this sit was Barney and Paddy. They are adorable. Totally different personalities, Barney leads the way and Paddy follows. They just want to please you and be loved.
The area is very beautiful with lots of walks close to the house and further afield.
The house is all about the family. Although it is large it was warm and cozy. We mainly used the kitchen diner and occasionally the lounge.
Fiona had a very comprehensive welcome pack prepared which was very helpful. Communication was fast and efficient.
The gardens are well kept by Donna who was also a useful contact during our stay.

Lura
This is the longest sitting I have ever done and without a doubt the most rewarding.

Since Lura and I met, we get along very well. She is a very educated person, which is extremely important to me, and her apartment is a bright and beautiful place with an unbeatable location, steps from Harvard Square. Lura made me feel at home from the first moment and the communication with her was always excellent.

As for Taya, my precious Taya. She is wonderful. Strong, well trained, intelligent, sweet, pure love. We loved each other since the first moment and created a very special bonding. We walked a lot on snowing, raining, sunny days … We cuddled, we slept together. She is my pal. The best company anyone could ask for and I already miss her so much.

I really enjoyed this sitting, the city, Lura's apartment, the kindness of the neighbors, my loving Taya, everything, and I would sit again for Lura and Taya happily.
