Leah was super easygoing and accommodating and her place was clean and comfy. She lives right on the marina and the walk to the ferry to San Francisco is epic. Agent Bristow takes a few days to warm up. and he does things his way and his way only, but he's a little lover eventually and he was a joy to hangout with. 100% would sit here again!
We had a really great time pet sitting for Sue! Mr. Bean, a super friendly dog, was so much fun to take care of. He loved making friends during our walks, adding a touch of adventure to our daily routine. Sadie, a somewhat shy but super cuddly cat, took a day to get used to us and then we were snuggle buddies for life. It was so peaceful to see her relaxing by her favorite window every day, watching the world go by like it was her personal TV. Sue's place is cozy and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. It was really easy to communicate with Sue and she was so nice, making sure everything was arranged without any fuss (and had left a kind gift waiting for us). Her home is in a great spot in Newmarket, really close to Main Street and, on the other side, a mall with a cool concept market where we found the tastiest organic bagels we've ever had and yummy, made fresh potato chips (there was also an amazing looking patisserie). It was a great chance to explore the lovely local area and we were never short of anything we needed. While we had a car, I would say you could probably get away with not having one in the area, as enough things are within 15-20 min walking range. Even the Newmarket GO Terminal is just a 30 min walk away. Looking after Mr. Bean and Sadie was a joy and we really enjoyed our time in such a friendly environment!
This was a fabulous sit - Fran and Mark are the loveliest of people and have become friends as well as homeowners. They are both very friendly, helpful, with great communication and fascinating to chat with. The house is gorgeous, with a beautiful garden (and delicious strawberries!). Parking is easy and the house is in a fantastic location with walks and everything you need nearby. Utterly recommend and we would be delighted to return :-)
I stayed at Ali and Bianca’s for a couple of weeks and had a wonderful time! Morty is truly adorable and kind, and super easy going. He goes out during the day to the gardens, and comes back when called. Very quickly he liked to spend time with me 😁 The flat is comfortable and well located in Peckham. I found the neighbourhood really interesting to explore, and it is walking distance to Dulwich and other interesting places. Ali and Bianca were very friendly and always available on the chat. I recommend this sit 😁
A very comfortable stay in Seattle! Bella is a super sweet and easy going dog, I really enjoyed playing and spending time around her, specially those walks around the park, with nice views of the lake. Also both cats were very easy to take care of, they’re very independent. Jennifer was very helpful to me since day one and let me know detailed instructions about Bella/cats and the house, which is located in a calm & very safe neighborhood, housesit highly recommended
We had a really nice time with Jasmin's little zoo in Stein am Rhein! ☺️ The surrounding area is beautiful. We got lucky and had a lot of snow - and I loved it when we got home to 3 welcoming cats (especially Happy!) and a nice warm floor heating. It was easy to take care for the three cats and in those few days we got to know their own personalities. Happy is a young energetic cat, she loves to cuddle and always likes to be next to or near you - especially in the bedroom. Bonny and Nugget are calmer and Nugget needs some time to warm up but when he does, he wants to cuddle as well. The hamsters were also adorable to watch. We didn't meet Jasmin in person but I feel like she is a very open-minded and loving person and she always responded fast, so the communication was perfect. All in all, Gianluca and I definitely recommend this sit! Thanks again for having us☺️ Nelly & Gianluca

I want to share our experience at PawSessions in Greenlawn: Sarah is THE dog-whisperer. Our Jesse has been working with her, both in their beginner class and privately. I cannot say enough about her sensitive and caring instruction. She identified the best way to train Jesse so that we, her fur-parents, can work together as family unit. Jesse was wonderful as she was, but now she is our girl who walks, heels, leaves-it, and loves life (and Sarah, too)...!
We had such a wonderful experience at Pawsessions with our puppy. Sarah is the best and we were lucky she ran our group! We learned so much and our puppy loved her classes. Highly recommend Pawsessions to anyone with a puppy. 🐶😊 …
Just finished the advanced training and I'm quite content with my pups overall improvements at dog parks and in general! Training is very engaging, fun, and super easy to learn thanks to the trainers there! Thanks for everything!
Mike was an awesome trainer! I couldn’t even walk my dog around the block without feeling frustrated before hiring him. Now I take her on two long walks a day and it’s probably my favorite part of the day. He gave me all of the tools I would need after the 8 session were complete and will even board your dog to continue training if needed. 10/10 recommend for anyone with a pup who needs it!
I went there for an evaluation today and I was quite surprised on how well it went. She is definitely the professional trainer you should seek out, as her training methods are encourage positive reinforcement, and not only that, but I could tell my pup was having a great time learning. I'm looking forward to our 6 week course!
Why was I crying today? Because for the first time in my dog's 5 years, due to the competent, sensitive and knowledgeable training we are receiving at Pawsessions from Laurie, I felt confident enough to let my reactive dog walk outside on a noisy street with someone other than me. And he did great! Laurie has taught me, inspired me and shown me how to transfer confidence to my scared pup. Pawsessions dog training is priceless and I am so glad I found them. If you need training for your pup, do not hesitate to give them a call!
My fiancé and I rescued a 1.5-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/Herding mix named Brieta in May. Despite our experience with reactive rescues, we were overwhelmed by her intense anxiety. Although she quickly learned tricks and commands with us, that was in our private yard without distractions. Outside of our yard, her fear was evident whenever she encountered other dogs and embarrassingly other humans. By the end of the first week, we realized we needed professional help. Our first trainer left us worried about Brieta's future, but then we found Laurie. We are SO glad we did. During our intake call, Laurie listened to our concerns, and we knew she was the right choice. During Brieta’s initial evaluation, she was over-threshold before we even opened the car door. Laurie took control almost immediately and, within minutes, had Brieta walking around her facility. Over the past six weeks of private lessons, Brieta has become significantly more confident in what’s expected of her and how to handle herself in new situations. Each session provided us with skills to reinforce and further build structure at home. I’m writing this review after Brieta’s first socialization class—a milestone we can hardly believe. She started off terrified and lunging at a stuffed dog. Today she walked with other dogs on a relatively loose lead and required minimal corrections. It makes us wish we had videos of her at the start to show her growth by comparison, but the first few weeks were so overwhelming and she was so out of control that we’re almost grateful there’s no proof. It was a distant dream. That dog is not the dog we have today. She may still not be perfect, but she’s trying to be, and Laurie and her team have leveraged Brieta’s desire to be good to accelerate her progress. This review could never adequately do them justice in just how much of a difference they’ve made in this dog’s life. The true value of Laurie’s training is in the intangible growth. Brieta is becoming more confident and less anxious, allowing her to experience more of the world she desperately wants to be a part of. Even our neighbors have commented on her incredible progress. And at the heart of it, the true value is in the confidence she’s given us as Brieta’s owners - that we made the right choice, we have a great dog (with some not-so-great but workable behaviors), and we’ve got this. For anyone struggling with a high-energy reactive dog, I highly recommend Laurie’s services. Her expertise and support have been transformative for Brieta and us.
One year after attending PawSessions, Scotch is exceptional. Thanks to Laurie and Sarah he is a gentlemen at home and on the town. He socializes well with other dogs and doesn't pull on walks. I am grateful for their guidance on my first dog. We are reaping the rewards and will be for years to come!
I can't say enough about Pawsessions! Laurie and Sarah are wonderful people who genuinely love all dogs and want the very best for them. I started working with Laurie when we rescued our boy from Puerto Rico. Max was 10 months old, strong, energetic and lacked any form of structure. Laurie was so kind and patient. Max fell in love with her instantly! This lady knows her stuff. She explained everything, never made us feel rushed and adapted her methods if she saw something wasn't working quite right. We saw progress after every session! Today Max is a well behaved boy who comes everywhere with us and is now training to be my service dog! Laurie did a great job training me and my husband to be awesome pet parents to our sweet furbaby. Although she was too kind to say it, Laurie knew Max was always perfect - the problem was ME!
I adopted my 8 month old Husky a month ago and quickly learned that she was in need of some training. She would constantly pull hard on her leash. I called Laurie, and we had a great talk about my husky. We had a good discussion over the phone going over what I was looking for in terms of training and her classes. Laure told me that she could have my husky walking normal on a leash in five minutes. I told Lauie that if she could do that, I would be a repeat customer. After all, I knew how hard my dog pulled on a leash. I brought my husky to Pawsessions, and true to her word, she had my dog walking calmly on a leash. Much to my surprise, she did it in three minutes! I've since been to Pawsessions for some private lessons and will be signing up for their group sessions shortly. In two sessions, I began to walk my dog with no pulling. If you have a pet that you want to train, I highly suggest Pawsessions! I will continue to update this review as my sessions continue.
I took my dog Phoenix to Pawfect Pet Den for his first grooming and I was extremely pleased with the end results. I had some concerns as to how he would look after the hair was removed from his face and body and the groomer showed me some pictures to give me an idea and alleviate my trepidations. When I picked up Phoenix, I was astonished as to how amazing he looked. So handsome and magestic. Everyone in the family and our friends are happy to see Phoenix looking so incredibly regal. We’re certain even Phoenix is delighted with his new look. Big thanks to the lady to groomed him. See you soon!
Pawfect Pet Den (PPD) was highly recommended to me and I am grateful for it. Love bringing my dogs here. They are super supporters of adopted pets too. Brought my newly adopted senior Yorkie in for her nails and paw hairs to be trimmed to keep her from sliding on the floor. They kindly offered to do it between appoints if I didn't mind waiting. After that great service I made an appointment for my Chihuahua. The groomers are so experienced they can clip my Chihuahua's nails while she's putting up a loud fuss. The owners are kind, caring, and professional. They carry a variety of quality foods, treats, and pet necessities. I highly recommend PPD.
Dog has had some good and some bad haircuts here. Scheduling is awful. Not accommodating at all. Three months out for a Saturday. No Sundays. (Dog owners don’t work or anything). Although the dog is generally done in about 2 hours, they want you to leave the dog there for 4 hours. Half of which is spent in a cage.
Great haircuts for both our pups here! Prices vary it seems every time we come and are at a premium but as expected on the North Shore. They cut our doodle beautifully. **Accidentally selected 4 stars initially, so updated to 5 & added a fresh haircut pic!
I stumbled across this spot while driving by and pulled over to get my pup a last-minute birthday treat. I parked just as they were closing. Not only did they stay open for me, they also picked out a treat within my Price range while I stayed in the car, so I didn’t have to get my little one in and out of the car seat. My dog absolutely loved the pupcake!
Great neighborhood pet store. The grooming services are awesome and they carry high quality food, toys and leashes. Primarily for dogs and cats.
Our two dogs love Pawfect Pet Den... they take care of our dogs and they smell and look amaZing. Staff is pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend them!
The friendliest staff!! They are great with grooming my 100lb dog and are so helpful and attentive with their customers. They often deliver food and goods to our door and call to ask if we need refills so that they can order what we need ahead of time!
They always do a great job grooming our pup. We went for a walk immediately after her appointment and she received multiple compliments. I also recommended P.P.D. to one of the other dog owners who was dissatisfied with his current groomer. I like that they are careful to keep up with vaccinations in order to keep all of their clients dogs healthy.
The groomer of my labradoodle, Jen, is fabulous. Love how my 30 pound dog looks. She compliments my dog's behavior, He's such a good boy..." And he is a mellow guy! So here's the problem: Myself and three other neighbors all with labradoodles have now stopped going to this business. The pricing is all over the place. Each time I go in it changes, and not just a little. From one month to another the price jumped over 20%. When I talked to the owner, she quoted me a price (cash only and veterans' discount) that was back to the first price. Husband picks up dog, pays the higher price being told, "I don't know who your wife talked to..." This happened twice now. So another call (this time to the "manager"). She tells me they have had a 50% increase in their operational costs (really?) and now the price is 40% above what it was six months ago. She added that I don't bring him in frequently enough. I told her I have had grooming training and do him myself every other time. And he gets brushed regularly...not matted, nails cut regularly by me, etc. She said they have to muzzle him (totally untrue... he is a mellow guy). This was all to justify an up and down pricing...you never know what you'll be required to pay. And the manager was very rude. I told her that they are losing business (I'm the fourth of my friends to stop going there) because of the crazy pricing ups and downs. I told her we won't be going there any more. And my neighbor with a new pup will be advised not to go to them. Unhappy customers tell more than 10 people; happy customers tell less than 10...
