I had a really great time. Bowie is the sweetest and well mannered dog I ever met. It was a pleasure to walk with him, a he loved to show me everything that he learned. That was amazing! When Bowie wanted to relax he liked to sit next to me on the couch, so sweet. Andrew told me everything that I needed to know and their was a nice welcome note. The place is lovely, with a lot of plants inside and a cozy fireplace. So definitely five stars!
An all-around fantastic housesit experience! Eldridge and her husband were kind and generous hosts who made me feel welcome in their lovely home. I was left with all the information I needed and the communication during their absence was quick and clear. As wonderful as it was to have a refreshing pool to counter the August heat, the highlight of this sit was Sydney! He was the most charming, vivacious little fellow and I couldn't have asked for a better first experience with a cockatoo. (There was never a dull moment with him around!) I learned a lot and fell in love with him quickly and completely. My thanks to you, Eldridge and Buzz, and my best wishes always for Ezsti and Syd :)
Owner was very pleased with my care of her home and pets. I had been at her home for over 4 months already. She wanted me to stay longer. I had agreed to sit for her again at the end of this current sit for her. I decided to have surgery due to some serious health issues I found out about, but she wanted me to postpone. I still agreed to sit and still have surgery. She got angry that I did not cancel surgery for the future sit she wanted me to do and decided to end my current sit out of anger for not getting her way! The owner violated the rules and terminated my sit early! My surgery would not occur during the current sit. I had to spend money and get a hotel.
This was our first house-sit over Christmas and when we asked Nicki and Tirza if our kids could come for a Christmas visit for a couple of days, they didn't hesitate and said yes, no problem! With such a positive reaction, our journey to Denmark got off to a great start. We arrived a day early to get to know them, the animals and the farm. Their warm hearted welcome made us feel at home right away. The area is lovely, even at this time of the year, we were able to spend most days outdoors. Short winter days meant cozy times after dark in front of the fireplace. The animals were all easy going, only the blind chicken needed a bit of extra attention (hardly worth mentioning). The cats Molly and Olli are as cats are, independent until they feel the need of some TLC! Lucy the dog is a real sweetheart, such an even tempered soul, great company! We really miss our hikes to the beach with her! We hope to keep in touch and maybe one day we will be able to visit at a warmer time of the year - its such a beautiful spot. This is a great house-sit for independent people who enjoy quiet, serenity and countryside surroundings and we can fully recommend it!
I had a wonderful time on this sit looking after Ella ☺️ I’d highly recommend to anyone who may be lucky enough to get the chance. George and Sandhya were both lovely and very welcoming. They were very easy to communicate with through out the sit. Ella is just the sweetest little snuggle bug. She was a delight to look after, I’ll miss her a lot. She loved to curl up on my lap while I worked or watched TV. When the sun is shining she liked to lay in the window or go for a little adventure in the back garden. Their home is absolutely lovely and cosy. It’s in a great location as well lots of cafes nearby and beautiful streets to explore. It’s also easy to walk into the city centre.
