James’ apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, he was also available if we had any questions we wanted to run by him. We’re already missing Jess and hope we can look after her again sometime!
Mini Kitty is a lovely cat! She is friendly, very lovable and easy to take care of ✨ Dylan is super friendly, kind and all the instructions were very clear. His apartment is nice and well located! He is still doing some renovations but it didn’t affect my comfort or the cleanliness of the apartment 👌🏼 For sure I would do it again! And Porto is an amazing city 🤩
Anne and Sheila are warm, generous, thoughtful hosts who clearly communicate their expectations. We had a lovely conversation the night I arrived, and Anne gave me a thorough orientation to the house and town the next morning before they left, including taking me on a bike ride to the town and local farm stands, which I really appreciated. Ursa is a highly communicative and cuddly cat who loves her home and garden routines. She is clearly in harmony with the land, and she often naps outside beside the garden. She joined me whenever I went outside to water or harvest Anne and Sheila’s glorious fruits and vegetables, exploring nearby while I worked. She can be very vocal and insistent when she wants treats or your undivided attention, and generally has alot to say. This was mostly endearing and amusing, occasionally irritating, especially if I was trying to work. But during most of my workday (I work remotely) Ursa napped, so that worked out well. She loves watching TV with you, and tolerates being brushed. She always lets you know when it is time to go to bed, lol! The house is spacious and lovely, and I adored the sunroom with its glass and warm wood ceiling and the view of tall trees and garden. It was fruit harvest time while I was there, so picking the apples and pears and picking/freezing plums kept me quite busy, but it was a good counterpoint to my zoom work, and made me feel connected to the land. If you are a biker, hiker or open water swimmer, there are plenty of gorgeous forest trails and lakes/lagoons close by. There are 3 restaurant or take out options plus plenty of farm stands and a baking stand, all within a 5-10 minute bike ride. I would give this sit 10 stars if I could, and I hope I am invited back.
I had such a great time with Lexi and Mac. They were very pleasant and easy. MAC love going outside and run around. Lexi is lay back and love a belly rub. I was happy to sit ducks for the first time. The ducks knew their routine and was easy going. Debbie was really nice and communicate all the information ahead of time. She also provided suggestions to eat and amenities
We really enjoyed taking care of Barry and Shelly. They are super smart and very lovable fur babies. Shelly took about a day to come around to Jay but warmed up to me right away. Adam and Molly's house is wonderful with a very comfy bed and beautiful backyard deck. Also it's located in a great area with lots of hiking and biking trails. We would do this sit again in a heartbeat!
Claire and Trix were great to work with! Ms Trix was an angel and easy to care for. I stayed with her about a week and we had a lovely time playing with toys and going for walks, especially chasing squirrels. She loves to go to the beach and dig for crabs and that was quite entertaining, and also tired her out pretty well for the day!  Claire was great to communicate with, and the house was wonderful! Everything you could need in a home away from home just a few minutes walk to the beach, which is never crowded and def my favorite beach in Virginia! I felt so relaxed after my stay and 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone else!
