This Housesit has been an amazing experience! Julia and Richard literally welcomed me like I was part of the family. They helped me out when I needed a shelter for my Tuktuk and made sure to introduce me to the people around, so I would not get bored alone during the housesit. Thank you so much! The housesit itself was easy and very relaxing. Their place is cozy and clean and you will find anything you need. I personally enjoyed the open fire place and cooking on the Aga stove a lot ;) Melba has been great company. She doesn’t run off far when you go for a walk with her, so it is no stress at all. I liked having her around in the evenings and see how she enjoys a good belly rub. The other two family dogs that came to visit, Nala and Ella, were more vivid and each precious in their own way. I enjoyed taking care of them. I can totally recommend staying at the East Lodge Farm. The Cotswold area is just beautiful, and more importantly the family has a very warm heart and I can’t wait to visit them again :) All the best for you! Patricia
Hayley and Daniel are the kindest, most generous and hospitable people and their cute cat Milo is absolutely adorable, playful and affectionate. You just have to make sure you pet him in the right areas, but he will kindly let you know :). He is super sweet and loves playing with his toys, roaming around the neighbourhood and if you’re lucky he will sit on you. He also loves his snacks. The home is super beautiful, modern, cozy and clean. And Hayley and Daniel instantly made me feel super welcome and at home. They even brought me food for breakfast and invited me to a nice restaurant upon their return from their holidays. Having done this housesit was the best reminder of how wonderful this platform is. A place where you can meet people (and animals) that you would have otherwise not met and have them become a part of your life. I highly recommend this housesit. Anyone who has the pleasure of meeting Hayley, Daniel and Milo is truly lucky. Thank you again for everything :)
This was such a wonderful house sit! Nico & Amanda have a great house super close to hiking trails, so it was so easy to take Lola on a hike every day. Lola is such a sweet, well-behaved dog and we had such a great time looking after her! Would highly recommend, and would love to watch Lola again.
Camille was great with communication and made our stay very pleasant. Maddie is such a love bug and was always happy with tail wags. Coal was very self sufficient and loves walks and snuggles. I would definitely recommend to any pet sitter and would sit for Camille again in a heartbeat!
Kiki is a cutie to be loved and cared for from a short distance. I was informed not to pet or touch Kiki because she likes her personal space. I followed that during my stay, even when she came to rub up against me or check me out. It's hard to refrain from petting her but she seemed the most comfortable when I stayed in one spot or moved slowly around her. She has her go to spots so when I couldn't see where she went I made sure to move slowly and talk so she knew where I was. She is protective of her wet food and may hiss/meow if there is too much movement during that time. I ended up feeding her right before leaving or getting her food ready and then sitting somewhere until she was done which only took a few minutes. I played with her toys a bit but I think she was more entertained by me trying to entertain her, though she liked watching the birdie move around. She also liked watching the real birds out the window and occasionally talked to them! The accommodations were great. It's a comfy studio apartment with a large patio facing west. The location is fantastic, a wonderful launching off point to explore the coffee, restaurants, and shopping on 23rd street and right around the building. If you prefer to cook on the gas stove, there is a grocery store right across the street.
