We had an absolutely wonderful 10 days at Richard and Linda’s place. We had the pleasure of getting to spend an evening with them both before they left for their trip and really enjoyed getting to know them. They have a beautiful home and wonderful cats, who are easy to care for and to love. The house is located in a lovely village and we spent most of our time nearby enjoying the scenery. We managed fine without a car and had no trouble getting a taxi when needed - the bar nearby has some limited grocery options but it’s necessary to drive to stores in Ponte de Lima. Thanks again, Richard and Linda!
Firstly, we’d like you to thank Ivy’s humans for giving us this great opportunity to sit with her in their lovely home. Ivy was a delight… a bit shy but just needed some time to adjust to the situation. Her human’s Natalie and Jake made sure our stay was comfortable. Kailua is a lovely area we both love so it was a treat staying in the area.
We has a lovely time looking after Cookie and Crumble while their family went on holiday. They were both very easy to take care of, Crumble is a home body and liked to be close to us when we were home. Cookie on the other hand was more independent and would venture off for most of the day. Kim and David provided fantastic instruction and a guided tour of the local area. The home is lovely and very comfortable with very easy transport links so no need for a car. We would be very happy to do it all again in the future. Thank you Kim and David
This house sitting experience was like a dream come true! Dave and Liat's home, nestled in the Uvita mountains, was spotless, and their delightful female dog, Reyrey, stole my heart. It goes without saying, parting with Reyrey was difficult. Her temperament is incredibly gentle, and she's both sweet and effortless to look after. She absolutely loves going for walks on the mountain road surrounded by beautiful nature and running streams. It is best to keep her on the leash, however, to prevent her from chasing the local wildlife. Dave and Liat were incredibly gracious, attentive, and helpful hosts. Being entrusted with their home and the delightful Reyrey was an honor. I eagerly look forward to the opportunity to house sit for them once more!
What a lovely experience sitting for Trinity Paul Gillan Conor and Max. Trinity was so easy to communicate with in the run-up to the sit and although there was a little problem with the boiler the day we arrived Trinity kept us updated at all times and everything was fine. Their house in Sayalonga is beautiful, quiet with beautiful views and warm and comfy with everything you could need. Now to the boys. Gillan conor and max are just wonderful. Full of fun and so very affectionate. Gillan is wonderful and very fun and loves nothing more than running around with max. Max is the calmest little dog ever and just LOVES cuddles on your lap. Oscar is wonderful but be prepared he loves his ball and will play with you all day which is great fun and he is a proper little character. A truly lovely house/dog sit and you will want to do nothing but take in the views and play with the boys? Thank you Trinity and Steve...hopefully we will get to see you and the boys again soon. Gillian was very informative and helpful on arrival, and stayed in touch throughout the house sit which ensured I felt secure. Their pets are absolutely lovely - the dogs are wonderful company and the chickens and ducks are adorable. The location is perfect if you enjoy walks, and Kirriemuir is a delight. I couldn't recommend this housesitting opportunity enough.
