My daughter, Desiree, and I had the most wonderful time in Marquette sitting for the Dehrings and for their pets, Harry, Angus, and Nike. Their home is just so beautiful with views overlooking Lake Superior. Their back patio is a great spot to relax while listening to nature and to the water waves. Plus, you'll enjoy their multi-tiered gardens. Very neat yard. They are walking distance from down town and from the parks along Lake Superior. Their neighborhood is quiet and with a lot of turn of the century Victorian "miner" influenced homes. Beautiful! They have a guest quarters downstairs, which is newly remodeled and iKea inspired. We loved it! Angus is a cuddler. Nike loves, loves playing fetch. And Harry the bird we discovered loves if you sing him any Beatle tune. The cutest! We love the Dehrings, and they are truly delightful and sweet souls. We look forward to staying in contact and sharing mutual travels together. If you are considering to sit for them, do not hesitate. This is a hidden gem of a sit!
It was a pleasure house and pet sitting for Amber and Rod. They are a lovely couple, who are very thoughtful, generous and easy to communicate with. They made sure we felt relaxed and comfortable staying at their house, and were very well organised providing all the information we needed about the pets and the property. Their pets are very sweet and easy to care for. We would recommend house sitting for them, as it was a very enjoyable experience in a lovely location.
We had a wonderful time during our stay watching Lola and Benjamin. They are both adorable Scotties with great personalities. They are well behaved and easy to love and care for. Their home is so easy and comfortable to stay in that it was a true joy to be there. Yolandi and Christian couldn't have been sweeter to us. There were a few travel upsets because of covid and their plans changed slightly. Even though they returned home earlier than our original plan, they insisted we stay the whole time and it was great. We were able to spend more time with Lola and Ben but also got to know our hosts and spend precious time with them. Part of the joy we find in house and pet sitting is meeting new people and making friends all over the world. Our time during this house-sit is one we will fondly remember forever. If you get the chance to care for Lola and Benjamin, you are lucky and will be happy you took the opportunity. We would love to go again some day.
We had a lovely time staying in Sarah and Johnny's beautiful home looking after Sweep and Smudge. The dogs are lovely, and so well trained. The week flew over as we explored the area with the dogs. We would happily return. Prior to the sit communication with Sarah was excellent, she sent a comprehensive welcome pack, so we felt at home immediately. I would highly recommend this house sit, lovely house, lovely dogs and lovely area of the country.
I’ve had a wonderful time looking after Billie and Kuri, Xenia’s lovely cats. Before she left with her family for their vacation, she invited me to her home and gave me clear instructions about the cats and the apartment. Communication with her was easy and smooth during the entire time. Her cats are well-behaved and cuddly, (especially Kuri :) ) whose hearts can be easily won over with some treats and playtime. Her apartment is very spacious and well located, overall a great experience. I highly recommend cat-sitting for Xenia and would gladly take care of her cats in the future again.
It was a pleasure to look after Cooey recently in Lynn's lovely Lolo condo. The location is so convenient to everything, that a car is completely unnecessary. Cooey was a sweetheart. So easy to look after and very well-behaved. She loves to fetch and retrieve, and is amazingly good at it. A very lovable and talented pooch. All in all, a great sit in a great spot. Thank you Lynn!
