Looking after Hagi and Pepi in Alex’s home was such a pleasure! The boys were delightful, we fell totally in love with each other!! Alex’s space was super clean and tidy, plus in a convenient and thriving location - and communicating with Alex through the sit was really easy! I would love to visit the boys again, and highly recommend this sit to others.
Jennifer went the extra mile to make me feel home and welcomed, while taking care of her dog. While it took Luke a minute to warm up to me, once he did, he was my most loyal companion. He snuggled up to me every night in the best ways possible, and was really sweet and well behaved all around. I had no complaints on our walks either, and the best of time seeing him off leash while hiking together in the woods. He is a love bug. ♥️
Grace and Sky are adorable and well behaved dogs. The house is clean, comfortable and is in a nice location. It's a perfect place to stay if you want to explore Port Macquarie and the surrounding area. Rachelle and Bixby were very courteous to me and took me out for dinner the evening I arrived. I wish there had been more communication about the security cameras (external, internal and on the front door) prior to me arriving to the house, as I probably would not have agreed to a sit with cameras. (It wasn't mentioned during my phone call, meeting with Rachelle, or in the Welcome Guide, which has a section dedicated to Security). I brought up the issue of the internal camera before Rachelle and Bixby left (stating it was against Trusted Housesitters policy) and they agreed to point it at a section of the floor in the hallway, as a compromise. I got up one morning to find it pointing into the lounge-room again, at which point I contacted the support line and was advised to immediately disconnect the camera. It would also have been nice for Rachelle and Bixby to communicate that they were leaving the day after I arrived. I didn't find out until the day of the sit. Obviously it is their home and they can do what they want, but clear communication is always appreciated. They also returned a day earlier than the agreed end of the sit, (again this was not communicated until I asked for details of their arrival time home) so once they were safely back home and reunited with their puppies, I left. They did bring me a small gift, which was very kind of them. With just a few changes in the way they communicate – Rachelle and Bixby would be great hosts and as I mentioned Grace and Sky are just adorable puppies and I will certainly miss them.
Daisy and Oreo are lovely pets - playful but still well behaved - and it was easy to take care of them! The apartment is very spacious and Renee and her family are very welcoming. Would come here again anytime :-)
First, thank you Kate and Tom for sharing your beautiful home and precious Drizzle and Wallis. If you enjoy cats with personality this is the sit for you. Wallis may take awhile to warm up to you but once she does don't be surprised if you have a buddy in bed at night. Drizzle will take to you the minute you arrive. She is SO affectionate. I love the look she gets when you stroke her under her chin. She e was exactly what I needed at this time in my life. The area is convenient to numerous beaches and fun things. The home is spotless, decorated like it was professionally done, you will most likely be eating your meals on the patio as it is gorgeous and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. You will definitely enjoy yourself. I only wish I could have met Kate and Tom in person. I certainly understand why that wasn't possible. Thanks again and stay safe and healthy.
We had an amazing time in Vancouver looking after Rizzo and the home. The home was in a very cute area and had everything we needed. Rizzo was the best, very fun and cuddly. She is a rescue so she has some challenges with going on walks in the city, but James & Ryan let us know ahead of time and gave us amazing tips/walking routes. We loved Rizzo so much and we look forward to spending time with her again!
