This was an excellent sit for us! Murphy was very well behaved, so all we had to do was follow his schedule as Brenda had outlined for us and he was no trouble at all. It also didn't hurt that he is just as cute as a button and an excellent cuddler. Brenda's communications were spot on and very prompt. She and Asif have a beautiful townhome within walking distance of the grocery store, restaurants and many cultural sites and events. Their flight out of town was scheduled to leave early in the morning, so they very graciously invited us the evening before, Brenda made a delicious dinner and we enjoyed a very pleasant evening discussing a wide variety of interesting topics.
I had a great time in New Westminster at Kat's place with her sweet kitties! Tabei and Wednesday were an adorable duo and great to have around. Wednesday loves to play and is such a fun kitten. Tabei took a day to get use to us in her space, but when she was comfortable she enjoyed getting her pet and playing. :) Kat was so kind and responsive! We confirmed the stay months in advance and she answered all of our questions throughout it all, and even gave us suggestions of things to do around town. Also, the balcony views are gorgeous, 10/10!
I had an amazing time with Hawk. He is a phenomenal, happy kitty who I bonded with right from the start. He is pretty active for an older guy and still strong and athletic as demonstrated in the way he climbs up to the second floor deck like Spiderman lol. I was just in awe of him constantly. He has the best personality. He will talk to you as much as you want, he is a world class cuddler and loves to sleep with you. He loves to be near you, whatever you are doing and he will make you laugh out loud with the cute and silly things he does. He really really loves getting his belly rubbed and is very trusting. It is obvious he is very loved by his family. The day of the sit, I arrived an hour before Christie left for the airport and got to meet everyone and get a walk through of the house and Hawk's routines which was wonderful and made me feel at ease. Instructions were thorough and I had everything I needed. The house is gorgeous. I felt like I was in a luxurious country lodge. Everything is high end, tasteful, and not at all pretentious. It's secluded on top of a hill, yet you are a couple miles from every store you could ever need. I walked the up and down long curvy driveway for my workouts and it was delightfully challenging and fun. I was able to relax, get some reading and writing done, work, and run my empire from the kitchen counter. Oh and the sunsets from the deck are out of this world. Emily is a joy and was attentive with all communication during the sit, quick to respond to every message, and answer any questions that arose. Christie, Emily and the whole family are warm and wonderful people I would love to get to know better. I felt completely at home with them and with Hawk during my stay. I hope to see them again and would absolutely jump at the opportunity to sit for Hawk again. I loved everything about this sit! <3
We enjoyed a lovely weekend housesittìng for Claire and Justin and caring for Lola. She is such a sweet doggy! Bless her she's a deaf old lady, but will can she sprint at the invitation for a walk! We had a lot of fun running around together in their absolutely beautiful garden. She's a very sweet natured dog and loves being in company much of the time. I'd recommend being up earlier than 7am to let her out first thing, both mornings I was up before 7.15am and she had toiletted on the kitchen floor. Even though I'd put puppy pads down, she'd nipped between the gaps for her business! Awww poor doggy. Such a sweet girl. Claire and Justin's home is beautiful, spotless and comfortable. I spent two hours cleaning before we left to return the home in as beautiful an order as we had found it. The Air bnb guests in the guesthouse had quite the party one night, but sweet Lola, the incredible views and beautiful home and garden made up for it. We shared great tcommunication and our whole experience was a delight. 💫🐕💫
Fantastic sit within the beauty of the surrounding desert! Serendipity, Zippy and the fish were so much fun to care for. We wondered if the kitties would be shy at first, but they were curious, playful and enjoyed being close to us. Both Serendipity and Zippy became quite loving during our sit. It was so much fun to engage them in play or watch their antics when they got their evening zoomies! We also enjoyed watching the many birds come to the feeders in the back yard (as did Serendipity & Zippy). Rae was a great host. She provided a written Welcome Guide as well as videos that made caring for her sweet pets and beautiful home super easy. There was good off-street parking available in her driveway. The house was very clean and comfy, and close to Joshua Tree National Park. We got up early to hike in the park before the heat of the day. The night skies were fantastic, too! Rae was available for any questions we had. Would definitely sit again & highly recommend this sit to others!
Bug is the cutest little girl. We were sad to leave her. We took her to different coffee shops with us as we loved her being with us. Sometimes you have to carry her as she’s tiny and gets tired but we didn’t mind that. Fred the cat is self sufficient but she still likes some pets, usually when you are sat on the couch and likes the odd visit in the garden. The back garden is very peaceful and secluded with an amazing view of the surrounding valley. Haley kept in touch with us and was very communicative.
