Bob and Gisela
We truly enjoyed our stay at Bob and Gisela's home. We were made welcome with a special German meal and good conversation as we became acquainted and reviewed the dogs' needs and personalities as well as the ins and outs of their home.
We appreciated the bicycle, kayaks, clean outdoor grill, TV choices, cherry tomatoes right off the vine, and and the lovely porch which is positioned atop a lovely garden filled with flowers and bushes. Enjoying our coffee here with the dogs; we met many friendly neighbors. (We were even invited for several happy hours.) The neighborhood's private beach; with it's majestic view of Mt. Rainier; provided for solitude and water sport.
The area was filled with different kinds of trails for biking (Chehalis Western) and hikes, (Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge being a highlight), as well as charming downtown Olympia with its Farmers' Market, the intriguing Russian and European Marvel's Food & Deli (check out the bakery), and a plethora of parks where we listened to music or watched the salmon run.
A most pleasurable aspect of this sit was the pets. Roscoe and Bella are older dogs who slept quite a bit, but had just enough delightful spirit inside of them to entertain us with some antics, and still find pleasure in snuggling with us. There needs were few, but being rescues; we could recognize how well they were loved and cared for.
We were fortunate to be able to be Roscoe's and Bella's companions and to now count Bob & Gisela as friends; and we are likely to meet again. We do indeed recommend them to anyone who wants to have a positive experience as we had.

Elisabetta
We spent over a month in paradise, staying in the palace of Paolo and Elisabetta in Manduria, whilst looking after their cat Picchi.

Elisabetta and Paolo are both very welcoming and kind people. From the beginning when we had video calls until the very end, it was easy to communicate and they made us feel at home. They were so kind to pick us up and drop us off at the nearest train station from where we could get to the airport in Bari. We stayed a couple of days before and after the official house sit, in order to familiarise ourself with the property and cat. Paolo and Elisabetta showed us great hospitality and also provided detailed instructions for our house-sit. During our sit they were always reachable and always let us know about the visitors, so that we weren't surprised unexpectedly.

Their house is a palace built in 1881 which has a lot of history and charm. It is a very spacious and beautiful place, filled with various details, so you can every time discover new things. The apartment, where we spent most of the time has everything you might need for the stay. A fair chunk of responsibility are also grass cutting, pool maintenance and watering plants.

The location of the palace is ideal, as it is right in the centre of the town Manduria. It is a fantastic area, full of incredible architecture and delicious local restaurants and shops. Paolo and Elisabetta have a very good knowledge of the local area, they gave us lots of tips on where the best markets and restaurants are. We absolutely fell in love with Manduria and the region.

Their cat Picchi is very shy and timid. He spend most of the time outside and comes to the apartment for his meals, however will avoid cuddles or interacting with you as it takes a lot for him to warm up to people. It was beautiful to observe the bond and connection Elisabetta has with him. We also felt a change in his behaviour as we stayed longer with him, he began to trust us more and more. However he is a very independent cat and will probably remain this way if you have the chance to sit for them. He is healthy and happy, kind and beautiful. We absolutely enjoyed being in his presence.

Overall we really recommend this sit to anyone. This is your chance to feel like a prince or princess, whilst meeting wonderful people and looking after an adorable cat in the beautiful south of Italy.

Their home is very cozy and nice to hang out in, and the outdoor adventures are endless! Couldn’t have had a better experience here. Big thanks to Jill and David 🙂

Anton
We stayed at Anton's place for two weeks and we had the sweetest experience. Anton was very communicative, friendly and organized from the very beginning, and he even welcomed us with a delicious American-style meal, so nice! All the information we received was complete and specific: this allowed us to take care of Peanut without any issues.

The apartment is very clean, tidy, and equipped with everything you need. He is also super well organized as far as Peanut's food, toys, and equipment are concerned: you cannot make mistakes. Anton took the time to explain to me and Marco what Peanut's temperament, habits, favorite toys, and programmed meals are and promptly answered all our questions throughout the entire stay.

But let's talk about Peanut: she is the sweetest, most playful and most empathetic dog! She will beg you to play with her favorite toys (she is NOT an invasive dog though), and ask for cuddles as soon as she realizes you are "free" ahah! She also follows you everywhere and stares at you with her heart-melting eyes 24/7. She also enjoys sleeping next to you at night, but she respects you if you don't feel like doing it. During our walks, she sniffs everything but doesn't touch anything, she is calm, a bit shy, and obedient all the time. It's a pleasure to walk her, and we already miss her so much.

I really recommend this sit both for Anton's kindness and Peanut's qualities :) Thank you for this great experience, we really hope to meet again one day!
