I had a wonderful time house sitting for Michele and Paul. They were very communicative and left detailed, clear instructions. While they were away they were readily available to answer any questions I had. I was able to stop by a few days before my sit and that was helpful in getting to know the dogs and their schedules/habits. Kohl and Frosty are both full of personality and I enjoyed cuddling them every night. Frosty warmed up immediately - she loves attention! Kohl took a bit longer but once he realized I was harmless he would follow me around the house and even jumped into bed to cuddle. Michele's and Paul's house is beautiful and inviting - I especially enjoyed watching the sunset from their balcony. I would highly recommend house sitting for them and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again!
Wow, what an amazing experience. Two and a half months living in a chalet in the French Alps! Châtel is a lovely French village, with phenomenal views of the surrounding mountains and an absolute hikers paradise. Being located on the French /Swiss border the sightseeing opportunities in the area are endless; Geneva, Mont Blanc, Schilthorn, Annecy, Gruyères, Lausanne, Yvoire, Saint Gingolph and Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval to name just a few. Steph and Robert were easy to communicate with. They made sure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay, and were very kind and generous. We had organised the house sit more than six months in advance and kept in regular contact with Steph and Robert. By the time we arrived in Châtel, rather than meeting new people for the first time, it felt like we were catching up with old friends. The chalet was extremely comfortable to live in, with plenty of space. It was well set up and had everything we needed with the added bonus of stunning mountain views. And Biscuit, wow, what a friendly cat. Whether you were working on your laptop, pottering around in the garden or just lazing on the couch, Biscuit was always there looking for a hug or just wanting to be involved. Henrietta, Biscuits mum, is a regular visitor to the chalet. She’s very affectionate and enjoys lots of hugs on the couch or fun games with her toy mouse. We highly recommend staying at Steph and Robert’s chalet if you get the opportunity. They are the nicest people, have a wonderful house in an idyllic location and the worlds friendliest cat.
