As I am aware that TH is removing the "no reviews" left by previous sitters I am thus adding my review of this sit as: I would not recommend this sit. I felt like a employee being text "would you mind just" and "if you don't mind could you..." it was always something, and the mother-in-law that lived next door was not very nice to me and just let herself in whenever she felt like it. One day a friend (or relative) of the mother in law came over with a dog of her own and left in her house for hours... it just barked non-stop so I went in and took it out on a walk with us. Poor thing. Pets (as always the case) were lovely and I genuinely adored their company... it felt nice to let the dog be a dog and not strapped to a bike and forced to run alongside it.
If you landed here and are considering Peggy’s sit, please do yourself a favor and apply! This was a GREAT house sit – you couldn’t ask for a better host. Peggy was truly incredible - she is so welcoming, kind and she truly embodies the kind of community we were looking for on THS. She put us at ease immediately as she walked us through her home and provided a great welcome guide and instructions on everything in her home. She even introduced us to her wonderful neighbor and provided multiple contacts in case we ran into any issues (we didn’t). Also, need to note that due to an unexpected change in our plans, Peggy allowed us to stay an additional night in her home when she got back from her trip which helped us immensely. Her aloha spirit is very strong! Her home is beautiful and the views from her living room and deck sure make it easy to never want to leave – the amazing view stopped us in our tracks multiple times! The neighborhood is so peaceful and quiet and truly ideal for walking the pups. The walks along the private beach are also highly recommended. The true stars of the sit were her two pups Blu & Pie. They were both such great pups and took to us immediately as if we were old friends. They were both very well-behaved pups and very smart. It’s evident that Peggy has showered them with a lot of love & attention and they behave accordingly. Blu is a gentle, old soul and is always there looking out for Pie. He will never decline a good belly rub or multiple pets and was such a calming presence. He’s a true joy to be around. Pie is such a sweetheart with a ton of energy! Peggy has a great big screen home theater set-up in her downstairs dog-zone and Pie would join us for movies every night. Pie is a love-bug and was always around looking for pets and belly rubs while showering you with licks…you will not be able to deny such a cute pup! Thanks again for such a great experience Peggy - we’re missing Blu and Pie tons! Give them a big hug and much love for us!
Sitting Wally and Paisley for Barb was really great. Barb communicated well so we felt very comfortable with everything when we arrived. We did not get to meet Barb at the beginning of the sit but had a good video chat prior to the sit and a few messages as the sit approached. Barb's house was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Wally and Paisley were perfect. They were so much fun to sit. I loved taking them on walks because they were always so good. Wally is a little love bug and loved to snuggle up next to whoever was sitting on the couch. Paisley was cautious and hesitant in the beginning but quickly warmed up. This was a great sit and I would definitely sit for Barb, Wally and Paisley again. I highly recommend this sit.

I had a wonderful week at Teletha’s beautiful home with Barley and Roobarb. The location is great, peaceful but not too far from shops etc in the car. Teletha left very clear instructions for everything (written and videos which was very helpful). This also included directions for a lovely walk to Sissinghurst castle. I also visited Balfour winery which I would recommend. I had everything that I needed for the week. The dogs are absolutely lovely, so loving and easy to care for. They were no problem when I was working from home either. I also enjoyed caring for her plants in the greenhouse! The cows are incredibly sweet and easy to care for and I even managed to stroke them a view times by the end of the week. Having the woods so close to walk the dogs in was amazing and so relaxing. Teletha was quick to answer any questions and I felt incredibly welcome and comfortable in her home. Would recommend to anyone!
Wow, what can we say?! Joe and I had the most incredible sit with Leila and Wanda in Mexico City. Leila is the most kind, hospitable and selfless person and Wanda her dog is an absolute sweetheart. Leila made us feel right at home in her beautiful apartment in a really lovely part of the city. Wanda was a very well behaved dog and a joy to look after, we bonded with Wanda really well, she is friendly and very affectionate. Wanda is also a relaxed dog who was more than happy to adventure anywhere with us whilst we cared for her. We were sad to say goodbye to both of them and we will miss them terribly. Thank you for giving us this opportunity and we hope to meet you again soon!
