Talk about a wonderful time and the doggies so good too! Couldn't have felt more at home. Laurie went beyond hospitality. Maps for the area and instructions to care for her doggies printed out. Cozy warm beds. A view, from the kitchen, in the morning of Mt. Baker. If there were 6 thumbs, Laurie would receive them.
We loved every single second of our time caring for Ted and Reggie. They are absolutely and utterly delightful and our cheeks still hurt from smiling at their antics. Mary and Richard made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Such kind and generous hosts. Their beautiful home sits in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of the city and it oozes comfort and calm. Honestly, we had the most peaceful, relaxing stay, full of good books, games, puzzles and best of all, lots and LOTS of feline fun! Ted and Reg have access to a large secured garden space and they absolutely love it. We spent many hours just observing what they got up to, roaming about, marching the perimeter, playing hide and seek with each other, and watching birds and squirrels. Mary described Ted as 'a bit needy' (with a smile) and explained that he would be our constant sidekick. He loves to be near his humans and he loves to play. He has the sweetest 'play now' meow you'll ever hear! Remarkably, he's able to fetch and return things, although usually only halfway (smile). And Reg will just melt your heart with his quiet demeanour and insatiable appetite for tummy rubs. If you have the opportunity to look after Ted and Reg, we'd say 'jump at it!', but be warned: you'll have some stiff competition as we can't wait to go back to see the boys!
We really enjoyed your well behaved pets to the fullest. Layne and Mr Socks were a little aloof on our first day as they spent their most of the time out of sight. We kept their space clean and tidy and respected their personal space. The following day, we started to play and socialized often, soon after that they started approaching us and enjoyed being rubbed on their foreheads, around the ears, and their necks. They both get rewarded with their treats every M/W/Fri. Marshall on the other hand is the sweet heartH- the icing on the cake. We really enjoyed interacting and playing with him. He gets his routines with outside activitied playing with catch the ball and daily running/walking with us. Then when indoor he enjoyed getting his neck rubbed. Lauren and Jon were excellent host, they even prayed for us on when we finished our initial Zoom visit. THANK you very much for giving us your trust to pet and house sit. Your basket full of treats, and your kindness made us feel right at home.
As the previous sitters have attested to, this is a fantastic sit all round. Bailey was no trouble at all and very low maintenance. He's an independent cat and spends most of his time either outside (via his cat flap) or curled up indoors in his favourite warm spots. He's not a lap cat and doesn't really seek affection (from me at least), but I found him to be very easy-going, and he appreciated a good stroke and chin scratch when I offered it, and an occasional play with his cat toys. Sarah and Carlos are lovely people and were incredibly welcoming and generous. They picked me up from the station, showed me around the area, treated me to a delicious meal from the local Italian restaurant, and talked me through everything I needed to take care of Bailey and the house (which was super straightforward). They also provided a handy information printout and loads of brochures and walking maps to help me get the most out of my visit. It's obvious they really care about making sure their sitters have an enjoyable stay! Communication was great and everything went smoothly throughout the sit. As a side note, being a fellow vintage lover I also really enjoyed hearing all about Sarah's vintage clothing business - so fascinating! The house is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you could need, and a beautiful garden. The local train station is less than 15 minutes' walk away, and even closer than that is a bus stop, a small Co-op for groceries and a few places to eat including a very nice café. There are some lovely local walks in the immediate area, and Sarah was also kind enough to lend me her bike which I took on a ride through the forest (I hadn't been on a bike in about 20 years so that was a fun experience!). Ashurst is also in a great location for exploring the wider New Forest area whether you have a car or not - during my stay I managed to visit the nearby towns of Lyndhurst (by bike), Brockenhurst (by train) and Lymington (by bus). There is also an animal farm and wildlife sanctuary nearby if that's your thing, but you'll be sure to see plenty of animals elsewhere regardless, including cows and wild ponies. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this sit!
Wonderful couple of dogs, a bit odd size wise, but adorable! Low maintenance, very friendly and very well-behaved. Freddy is a goofy giant, who will follow you everywhere and ask for cuddles, and Dezzy is expressive and loves paw rubs )) They make everybody’s heads turn their way, when you take them on walks! It was such a pleasure to take care of both dogs, I truly enjoyed it! Very nice and quiet area, lots of trails for walking, and a lovely house. Thank you, Samantha :)
The pets are the best! So sweet! Odin's like a big baby and Ember is the calm gentle mama. My husband got to pet Rhea the cat but I never even saw her! (Just cleaned up after her ;)) Their decor is mid century modern and it was very comfortable sitting on the couch watching the fire and listening to music. The dogs room is great for snuggling them while watching shows. The back yard is fenced in and there is a nice lagoon for walking around nearby. Very chill and comfortable humans who have done this many times it seems. Over all, very restorative sit.

I can’t recommend Nancy and her team enough! I have a 17 year old cat who is generally on the healthy side for her age, but does throw up often or occasionally miss her litter box. She’s also on a stricter feeding schedule to try and help with these issues as well. Because of that, it makes it hard for me to have friends or family care for her properly since she requires a little extra energy and I’ve always felt anxious leaving her because of that. I finally bit the bullet and inquired with Nancy about her services. I was going to be taking a 5 day trip to California and didn’t want to have to worry about my cat the whole time. Nancy kept me completely stress free my entire trip. She sent me thorough updates during each visit, with multiple photos and videos every time. She kept an eye on both the throw up and litter box issues I mentioned and kept me updated on what she observed. Not only that, but I could tell she genuinely enjoyed spending time with my cat which is all you could ever want from the person taking care of your pet - she’s a genuine animal lover and I truly felt like my cat was in good hands. My apartment was well kept as well, Nancy brought in the mail, took out the trash and even swept the litter my cat loves to kick onto my bathroom floor - this is all stuff I didn’t expect but it was much appreciated coming home after a long flight and finding my home in good shape. I’m so grateful to have someone I trust now for any future trips and to have the peace of mind that my cat is safe while I’m away!
My dog Bella and I love everyone at No Place Like Home. They've taken such good care of her and she is so happy every time they come to take her for a walk and/or give her her dinner! I am surprised I haven't reviewed them yet... not because they don't deserve glowing reviews. Cheryl has been caring for my girls lately and i have been very grateful for their care and how they report each time how it went. She really takes time to interact with my dogs in the time she is with them. That makes this dog mom heart feel good especially since i have to leave them alone for multiple hours. They are great to work with and technological tools make it even better. I love getting pics every day of how the girls are doing. Another great quality they have is adjusting with the shifting needs that my dogs require at times. They are fabulous to work with. Highly recommend.
Nancy and Allison were the best caretakers for our two dogs! We were thrilled to know maple and Willy had the best treatment. I would highly recommend No Place Like Home and will definitely be booking with them in the future!
We were scrambling to find a sitter for our cats, with little time to spare. Nancy was immediately responsive, able to set up a meet and greet within days, and followed detailed directions perfectly, including giving our senior cat medication. She was also able to effectively delegate to one of her employees. We also really enjoyed the daily updates and pictures. Would definitely recommend! We are just sad we are moving out of the area and will not be able to use her company again.
I have known Nancy for several years. We each own a professional pet sitting business and while we overlap in a couple of towns, we also service towns the other doesn't service. We collaborate and speak weekly. We refer to each other. I trust that if I refer a client to her business, that she runs her business in a top notch way and know those clients will get the same care we would provide. She is fully insured and bonded. Has employees who are trained well and covered under a WC policy. She does a great job.
I love Nancy and so do my pets! She is trustworthy, friendly, responsible and professional. When she cares for my pets she never fails to go above and beyond. My favorite part of having Nancy care for my pets how she always sends me daily text updates with pictures. She is also always available to do last minute dog walks and weekends away. When we go away and leave our pets, we can relax knowing she will care of them like they are her own!
I had to write another review for Nancy and her team. They've taken care of my cats for over 3 years now and have done an excellent job. I adopted a new dog that has trust issues with strangers and didn't want to board him like my other dog. Nancy and her team helped put a plan together in place to get him introduced to who would be taking care of him. I am so thankful that not only they helped make this work out, but also their patience and understanding with my dog's special needs. Could not ask for a better team to take care of my pets!
Nancy and her staff at No Place Like Home have been our pet service providers since we moved to the area a couple years ago. They not only provide quality care but they are also very flexible with their schedule. There have been more than a few times where I've had to ask the move my dog up in the daily dog walking schedule and Nancy has always found a way to make it work for us. I would recommend No Place Like Home to anyone looking for a a pet service company who treats your pets like their own.

We’ve moved a fair bit up and down the east coast. We always worried about finding reliable, caring, and compassionate pet care. PT’s came highly recommended shortly after we moved to Voorhees, NJ - we never looked back. Kevin and Tracy are kind, caring, compassionate people that have a deep love for animals. Kevin has done countless dog walks and drop-in visits when we were out of town. Oksana (8yr old lab mix) in particular can be a bit wary of new people and he won her over quickly. Maeve (5 yr old hound mix) quickly learned their walk schedule and eagerly would check the windows for his arrival - with Oksana joining in too! As soon as his car would pull into the driveway she would start with her excited hound noises. Unfortunately we lost Oksana quickly after an unexpected illness in July 2024. As part of her remembrance I went through to find videos important to us. Among those was the last time Kevin got to say hi to her - despite her being sick it’s clear how much she adored him and how excited she was to see him. We view PT’s as part of our extended family - it’s not easy to trust others to care for your fur babies as you would. PT’s however has a heart of gold. I can’t thank PT’s Pet Sitting Service enough for their exceptional dog-walking service, and especially Kevin for taking such amazing care of my dogs, Zoose and Zoey! What I love about PT’s Pets is that you always get the same dog-walker with every visit which makes me and my dogs feel very safe and comfortable. Kevin is kind, incredibly reliable, always on time, and treats my dogs as if they were his own. Zoose and Zoey absolutely adore him and always look forward to their walks every week. He is so flexible when my schedule changes and even ready to come out twice in a day if needed to feed and walk Zoose and Zoey. The love, attention, care, and exercise they get have made such a positive difference in their happiness and well-being. Kevin truly treats them like family members and even gave them a stuffed animal gift during the holidays that they love to play fetch with! Some dog walkers spend more time on their phone, taking pictures of the dogs instead of watching, caring and walking them. This worries me because of the close proximity to the animal shelter and the larger dogs that are walked by Volunteers. My dogs love to bark at them and especially Zoey who just wants to run towards them and interact. But not Kevin-he is so attentive and never leaves the dogs out of his sight. I love this about PT’s Pets - Kevin leaves a physical note afterwards on the counter letting me know how Zoose and Zoey did during their walk which gives me peace of mind. This pet sitting service is the best. Especially our dog walker Kevin. Our white pug Fanny absolutely loves him and waits at the door for his arrival. PT service is reliable. Affordable. Knowledgeable. Kind and affectionate to our pets. They are also very honest and trustworthy.
PT's Pet Sitting Service is, by far, the best pet sitters we have used! Tracy is very accommodating and Kevin takes great care of our dogs and we wouldn't trust anyone else with our fur babies. Kevin spends time walking them (even though we have a Fence and has told him he could just let them out back), feeding them and making sure they are doing okay. We usually book with plenty of notice but if an emergency comes up, I call tracy or Kevin and they help us out! Jack also helps with our dogs and has been a great dog sitter giving our dogs all the love they need. He also sends us amazing photos of our dogs.
Kevin has taken care of of my two dogs since they were pups! He currently comes everyday while I’m at work to let them out. If you could see how excited they are to see him- tails wagging! Going over to him for some petting! My girls both love him so much! And I trust him! He does extra things like brings in the garbage cans. Such a wonderful person!
