I stayed 2 weeks at Sri&Aisling's house, they were so kind and flexible during my time there. The cats were easy to take care of, and the house is so cozy in a quiet neighborhood. There are good transportation, supermarkets nearby and beautiful sunsets spots around. Definitely I'd go. Thanks!
Loved our stay at Sandra and Franks. The three cats where a pleasure to be with and soon got used to us, all different personalities. The chickens were fascinating to watch and once we realised we didn’t need to round them up into their hutch at night, that they just went in when they were ready, they were very easy to care for. Fresh eggs were a real bonus. The house is lovely and spacious and had everything we needed, a real home from home. Communication was good with Sandra and Frank so we knew what to expect and what they needed from us. The area is beautiful, lots of lovely countryside, walks and quaint towns and villages and near enough to the Lake District for a day out. Thank you for choosing us to stay we would certainly love to go back another time.

We had such a wonderful time looking after Trooper, Pomme and Dizzy. Trooper is full of energy, a beautiful dog, and loves to play and generally be with you. Pomme, although nervous at first, is so incredibly loving and loyal (we may be missing her the most!). Dizzy is wonderfully sweet, gentle and very chilled out. We will miss them all and we had many lovely walks around the local area. The house is very cosy with large kitchen and living spaces. We felt very relaxed and the dogs were just such great company. Lucy was a perfect host - provided us with all the information we needed and was there on the other end of the phone to answer any questions we had. We are very grateful for our stay and wish the family all the best and a great start to 2024!
We received such a warm welcome for our Ventura stay! The home is very comfy, peaceful vibes and walkable to a variety of places. We all fell in love with Gus, the kitten and the pups were so easy and full of love. We highly recommend!
We were extremely privileged to spend five fabulous nights at Gemma, Andy, Bella and Emily’s beautiful home, in the company of the very affectionate Barney and of the charming Bernie, who was very tolerant of our city ways! Both cats were very well behaved, following all of the house rules without any prompts, and great company. They even put themselves to bed each evening!! The five Guinea pigs were adorable, with very different personalities and quickly came to trust us enough not to hide every time we ventured near, and they adored the fresh dandelion leaves - so cute to see them sharing a leaf with a little munchy mouth at each end, nibbling their way to meet in the middle (even though we gave them one each!). The chickens were also a dream to care for, they clearly understood the routines and were very happy in their spacious section of the garden, laying delicious eggs daily, which the family generously said we could help ourselves to. The fish in their two tanks took literally seconds to feed, and were mesmerising to watch. The house was very spacious, well laid out, beautifully furnished and maintained to a high standard. It was evidently much more than a house, it was a home where there was evidence everywhere that the family cared deeply about each other, their animals and the environment and strive to live life to the fullest. There was beautiful art and crafts displayed that showed both talent and creativity. The kitchen was very well equipped with literally anything you could possibly need to prepare or cook any type of meal. There is a deep soaker tub in one of the bathrooms, but we did not use it as the showers (there are three) were so convenient and efficient. We got to meet the family on a video call before the sit and we were sent a Welcome Guide in advance, with everything we could possibly need included, and a paper copy was left for us when we arrived. Gemma and Emily very kindly picked us up at the station when we arrived and were so friendly and welcoming, we were immediately put at ease. The whole family took the time to show us around and guide us through the routines for the different pets, so that everything was very clear. They even provided us with a map that had some fantastic walks highlighted and took the time to talk us through different routes that take in good places to stop for lunch! The garden is also very beautifully laid out and maintained, with sunshine somewhere at every part of the day. We were delighted that the family offered us the use of kayaks, life jackets and helmets to use in the River Tees which is literally at the foot of the garden - we had so much fun paddling in circles before finally getting the hang of it! We slept so well each night as the beds were just so comfortable and the area was so peaceful. As city dwellers it was such a treat to see so much of the night sky out of the windows, without light pollution!! As non-drivers, we were able to easily arrange an online supermarket delivery, and there is a convenience store in the next village which stocks most things, which was a very pleasant stroll (approx. 20 minutes each way). Before and throughout the sit Gemma was available at the end of the phone and quick to respond to communications. In summary, this was a wonderful sit with cherished pets, in the beautiful home of a fantastic family - we would not hesitate to return and we thoroughly recommend this sit to everyone.
