Jessica's home is so beautiful, clean, and comfortable, I truly enjoyed my time with Coda!
We met Michelle, Chris & Theo at their home the night before they left. Chris and Michelle greeted us at the door while Theo sat patiently, waiting for the command to come and meet us. He such a well-trained, loving, happy, good boy! It was love at first site. We were welcomed into their beautiful home with kind and gracious greetings! They led us on a tour of their wonderful, mountain view, sparkling clean and cozy home. After a drink and engaging conversation with Chris and Michelle on their amazing deck, we felt so welcome and knew this was a great fit for all of us. We were eager to return the next day to hang out with Theo and enjoy the comforts of their home. Michelle & Chris were so friendly and laid back. We had amazing weather and took Theo out daily for walks, ball tossing and hanging out. The mountain sunsets were spectacular from the hot tub. The first night we went to bed, Theo laid outside our door...we settled in and then invited him up on the bed. He slept with us each night and would not enter the room unless invited. He such a good boy and again, so well trained. We missed him the day we returned home. We would take care of Theo again and again... Michelle and Chris would be excellent house and pet sitters. If I could give Laurel more stars, I'd give her 100!! My husband and I purchased our first German Shepherd puppy from this breeder. We were nervous to make such a big financial commitment to a breeder (or puppies from a breeder) we've never personally met. However, after 30 minutes of thorough details about the puppies she produces and the quality of their pedigree, there was an unexplainable peace that I felt after our conversation that prompted me to submit our deposit to hold our place in line. The most difficult part was the wait. We waited almost a year to finally have our precious puppy in our hands. THE WAIT IS WORTH IT. Our puppy was shipped from the Big Island to Oahu (crate and cargo fees an extra fee) and it was a smooth process to pick her up. Laurel (and her team? I assume there's a team. unless she's super woman, which honestly is very believable after learning how amazing she is at breeding these puppies) began crate training the puppies prior to going to their new homes. Our puppy, Cinnamon, was crate trained for 3 hours. Of course the first night was tough because she was acclimating to a new environment, but the subsequent nights were peaceful and quiet as she laid in her kennel through the night. Fast forward to today, Cinnamon is now a little over 4 months old and she is our super star. We enrolled her in puppy training classes at Petco. She already knew more than half of the commands they were teaching, but we wanted her to get training with distractions as well as the socialization aspect. We quickly learned that: 1, she was intelligent beyond her years, and 2, she played the best with all of the dogs. This includes both timid, and rough/bold puppies. She knew how to turn on and off the "calm". Our 6 year old Beagle/Chihuahua/Terrier mix, Pepper, has gotten moodier in the last 2 years. She does not like energetic puppies getting into her face all the time and has been known to "snap" at other dogs if they get too close (big or small). Cinnamon has been toughing things out and continues to pursue Pepper's heart, but with tenderness and patience. Today was a BIG leap in their relationship as we found them laying in the same kennel sleeping. (They did this all on their own!) Cinnamon has adapted around her and quickly became the "gentle giant." PLEASE keep in mind, we put a lot of time, energy, and resources into training Cinnamon. German Shepherds, although extremely intelligent, require a lot of time, discipline, and rewarding because without a good dog parent, you get uncontrollable children. And GSD are smart. They will learn how to "get around you," if you let them. I'm not just saying all of this to brag about our good girl (even though yes, she is the BEST in our eyes), but also to show that she was bred with extreme care and attention to detail. She makes both a great companion and protector. She is bold, but not aggressive. She is gentle, but not shy. If you are looking for the perfectly balanced German Shepherd Dog, look no further. Alpha K9 Kennels is your last stop (and should be only stop) for a reputable, responsible, and well-educated German Shepherd breeder.
I have kenneled my beloved boxer twice with Alpha K-9 Kennels. Love the staff and the owner . They love their job and take extremely good care of my baby when I am on vacation. I can always rest assured that she will be well taken care of and love while I am away. They also set my pictures and videos of her being walked and played with. Her last stay she had medicine that need to be applied twice daily and tat was taken care of as well . Thank you very much AlphaK-9 kennels,we will definitely be returning ❤️
I’m so happy Laurel was able to fit us in. She answered every phone call and every question we had. We got updates every so often of tippi which helped to ease the stress of leaving our lil baby while we were gone. I recommend alpha k-9 if you’re on the fence.
We boarded our little terrier for 6 nights. Beautiful grounds and peaceful location. We brought her travel kennel so she had a cozy den and favorite toys. The put it in the kennel on a raised pad. The kennel is safe and secure. Each dog has its own large kennel with a cement wall divider. They sent me a video and she looked so happy on her walk. Laurel and staff are so friendly and kind. I felt safe leaving my fur baby with them!
Earlier this year we lost our 13 years old Shepherd. After several months of an empty home, we decided to start our search for a new fur baby. This is when we discovered Alpha K-9 Kennels. I started the journey to get Nui (a German Shepherd Puppy) from these amazing group of people back in June or July. They are on the Big Island but can ship anywhere, and they keep in touch with you every step of the way. I was having payment issues due to the pandemic and Laurel was sure to work with me on that, and I really appreciated that. The delivery process was so smooth, she ensured that I was notified when she shipped the puppy, and ensured that I got all the information I needed to pick him up. Any questions that’s I asked she was sure to get back with me at her earliest convenience (within the hour) and ensured that everything went smooth. I still ask her for tips on the puppy but all I can say is thank you, I would recommend this breeder to anyone!
We were warmly and pleasantly welcomed by the owner, Laurel, who is very knowledgeable in her animal breeds. We boarded two pets, a dog🐕🦺 and a cat 🐈⬛ for 7-days. She followed-up with text photos as they settled in their own kennel spaces. We're happy that she was readily available to accomodate our short-planned travel and grateful she is reasonable priced. Alpha K-9 Kennels is by far the best that i have experienced. They always take such good care of my german shepherd when I travel. i don't know what i would do without them.
I only spoke to the owner on the phone, but she was SO helpful and knowledgeable. After taking the time to talk to me about what she offers, she asked me about my dog and my situation. It turns out there is a dog daycare that is much closer to my job, and since I'm already commuting, she thought it might make more sense for me. How awesome is that? I wish her kennels made sense for me because I would have dropped my Lucy off there with no hesitations or worry, and will definitely recommend Hilo Kennels to anyone. I was just so impressed with her professionalism and how much she truly cares for the animals. Your dog will be home if you take it here, it's easy to see why they're successful.

I have been a client of Kamuela Pet Care for 14 years and Lisa has always been a safe and trusted pet sitter. My dog Mochi loved staying there it was a second home to him. He was so excited to be dropped off there he would run into the house like a bullet and not look back. We have a new puppy now and plan to take our dog there when we travel again. Very safe.
Lisa at Kamuela Pet care is an absolute gem. She truly cares for all of her guest pets as her own. My dog has been visiting her for years and gets so excited every time we turn down her street.. he is ready to jump out of the car! As soon as my car door opens he runs to her front door and starts barking in excitement until she opens the door. The second the door opens he runs inside and starts playing with her other dogs! We don't have to worry one bit when he is with her. I don't know what we would do without her. We travel a ton for work and vacations which we would not be able to do without her!! Our boy is well fed.. we always bring his food and he gets to eat with the rest of the “pack”. We bring his bed for him to sleep in although sometimes I think he sneaks into bed with her and he husband who is also just amazing with the dogs! Our boy gets plenty of love and attention at his Auntie Lisas and when we pick him up he is sad to leave and all worn out from so much play time! Its a dream!! 🐶🐶
Lisa and her family have been dedicated sitters to my fur baby (which cane before my human baby) for years. Being my first (kid) it was imperative I felt I could trust Lisa and never once have I had an issue. Lisa's kind, loving, inclusive pack is an ideal setting for my little darlings, and I have never considered an alternate sitter. Our pet sitter moved to the mainland after 10 years, and we were very concerned to find someone who could give our 11 year old French Bulldog the care she needs as a senior dog. We would not trust anyone else with Annie than Lisa. I love that she cares for smaller dogs and has them indoors at night. My Annie is timid and not much of a socializer. Lisa picked up on that right away and takes extra care. Her yard is nicely landscaped and well gated allowing dogs to explore, play and do their business. Lisa will text photos to you by request which for us is every time we she sits for us. We are so glad we found Lisa for Annie.

Everyone at Pau Hana Pet Resort was wonderful! We had our puppy Rome in Doggy Daycare And he always came back happy and full of news what he did that day! They sent lots of pictures daily and kept me posted and how he was doing, will be using them from now on for our pets care!

Our American Bulldog Kobe for the first time stayed at a public sitter. We chose Pau Hana Pet Resort and we couldn't be more happy we chose them. We were able to enjoy our trip with no worries the staff took pictures assuring us our furry baby was doing okay. Kobe came home very happy and clean he got a nice fresh bath. Pau Hana is an awesome dog kennel. We always board our dog here when we travel off island because they screen all doggie guests for behavior. Our girl comes back calm and in very healthy shape. We enjoy the pictures that PH sends us of our dog during the trip too! Highly recommend!
This is Bindi’s second stay at Pau Hana and I’m so pleased she has a safe and comfortable place to stay when we go off island. When she comes home, she is calm and not clingy, which tells me she felt comfortable. She also smells nice from her exit bath. I appreciate the update photos every few days so I can see her playing with the other dogs. I also really like that the owners live on site. It gives me the peace of mind of knowing they would be aware if something happened during the night.

I had to go to mainland and boarded my 3 fur babies here. Was only supposed to be a month. Things happen I was delayed in returning home. Eric was absolutely amazing, he reassured me my boys would be taken care of till I could get back. I would definitely recommend him to anyone for any length of time. My dogs are all happy healthy and have been taken care. If I ever need to board my boys again I will only be taking them to pampered pooch. Mahalo again Eric.
Eric is awesome and was so attentive to my cat. I've used his services 3xs now and found them affordable, very clean and excellent. Wow! So, I know there are not that many reviews for this business right now (5 at the time of this writing) but they are all 5-stars. I called to ask if they had openings for a certain time period. Eric asked me what time I would be dropping off. I responded that it didn't matter to me that day whenever in his open hours. Most people would have then just suggested a time that works for them since I was open to any time. Nope. What happened next was Eric, got real rude. Raised his voice saying, "It may not MATTER TO YOU but IT MATTERS TO ME! I'm not going to sit around here all day waiting for you!" It was then I realized that there was something wrong and there was no way I was going to leave my animals with someone that thought speaking to someone disrespectfully was normal. I also realized, he was telling me that he doesn't want to wait there with the animals he is supposed to be watching & caring for during his own business hours. I love my pets too much to ignore the warning signs. Even if he doesn't like people he should understand that pet owners love their pets and they are entrusting their pets to him. They need to feel they're safe with him. Would you leave your child with someone yelling on the phone? Just think about that! I'm not going to do less for my pets than I would my children. Hopefully, he learns from this and treats people with the same respect they show to him.

Tiphany was fantastic. She provided lots of feedback daily and took the cutest photos and we really felt good that someone was watching our for babies. She was really excellent and we really appreciate her. She did a great job I would recommend Hailii to anyone interested in going away and not knowing what would happen to their cats dogs etc. in fact I’m looking at scheduling another couple of days after the beginning of the year. We have been using Shelley for almost 2 1/2 years now on a weekly basis to let our dogs out during the day while we are working and for overnights when we are on vacation. She is wonderful with our dogs and with us! She always lets us know how things are going. She was pet sitting our dogs during a brush fire last year that came close to the village and we were off island, and she had everything under control in case they needed to evacuate. She's marvelous! Now we always check to see if she's available BEFORE we make our vacation plans. I can't recommend her enough. Happy dog mom and happy dogs.🐾

This was our first time using this service for our cats since moving to the Big Island. We received a text when the sitter arrived and a summary of the visit along with photos of our cats while they were playing with the sitter. We are now confident we can use this service for future visits and longer travel plans we have going forward, knowing our pets will be well looked after.
Shelley is amazing! We lost our 12 year old Rhodesian just before leaving for the mainland to see family. We knew we were leaving our other boy in good hands even though he missed his brother terribly. Shelley kept him close, made sure he ate and by weeks end he was playing again. Wainoloa pet sitting is a great company to do pleasure with. They took care of my 2 dogs while I was on the mainland , they send pictures of the dogs and give updates on them too . I'd recommend them to look after your pets!

We had not used a dog walker before so we didn't know what to expect. Turns out it was a wonderful decision! Susan was exceptional! And our dog absolutely adored her. In fact, she would wait on the couch for her to come and they became best buds. Highly recommend!
Danielle was a terrific cat sitter! She communicated with us daily and provided pictures of our cat; as well as the water fountain level, cleaned cat litter, wet food set on the feeding station, and the dry food dispenser. She also cleaned everything up and retrieved our mail. I am extremely happy with the service she provided and will definitely be using her/Pet Gal in the future.

I recently went on a mother/daughter trip. My husband cannot physically walk our Whippet/Border Collie mix, Thalia, so while I was gone she started misbehaving. I was desperate because she was taking her own walks and sneaking into the neighbors yard. Yikes! I knew she needed her walks and I contacted “The Pet Gal Kona” to see if they could help me. Mind you, I was not home, traveling on the Mainland but was able to easily contact them via their website. Wow, I got a response immediately! Susan was quickly set up the next day for a meet and greet. My Thalia is a bit on the shy side but Susan won her over on their daily walks. She gave me a follow up of their walks everyday. Susan was kind enough to open our home for a day long drop off of our very elderly Peanut. Susan is very experienced and tremendously companionate. She sent us several updates through out the day (including videos) and we felt our Peanut was in the perfect hands. We have already booked Peanut for another stay this week. I have been using The Pet Gal weekly for 3 months now, and I can absolutely vouch for their service. My main walker is Bre and she is just fantastic! I think my dog loves her walks with Bre more than with me. Bre gives her enough exercise and then reinforces my dog's training with healthy treats. I live the app they use to track what is going on during the walk and to add commentary and photos from the walk. It is very comforting to know that my dog is getting what she needs in my absence and that she enjoys it.
Super easy to get started and they have really efficient booking processes. Was able to book just a couple days before I went out of town. They fed my cat everyday, scooped his litter, cleaned any messes and really cared about my little guy, and the process was so easy. Will be using this service for all my future travel.

We have taken our fur-baby Pono here quite a few times in the past year or so. Sometimes for a couple days, sometimes a couple weeks. We know Pono is well taken care of by Eddie and Lily. He loves massages and he loves walking himself lol
We took a last minute trip and needed a place to board our border collie last minute. The Hilo Holiday Pet Hotel was recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. They made room for him and we're very friendly. The only problem we had was our boy didn't want to leave when we got back! Great staff and great facilities. Will definitely use again.
Eddie and his staff was awesome. Anyone that knows me know I do not leave my dogs with just anyone but we were very confident that our babies were in good care. We visited a few boarding facilities before I decided here. Our babies stayed here for 5 days and even though in the beginning they had to get used too it . They loved running in his huge enclosed yard. I called everyday to check on them and I also received pictures ( which eased me). I will definitely use this place and I trust my babies in his care ! Thank you
This is a very caring place they treat my pet as their own family pet. He comes home clean n in the same way as I left him. They play n let the pets run in the yard. Eddie n his staff is like family to us we don’t worry when we live our zoney there. The best pet boarding hotel!!!!
I had planned a trip to the mainland for ten days and landed in the hospital in Nevada. Total days gone from my dog: 17. I felt so helpless and I missed my house dog, Snowflake so much! Snow is handicapped on his hind legs. He can use his hind legs but not for long. He will eventually drag them. Anyway, Uncle Eddie and Aunty Lilia took such good care of him at the kennel that when I picked him up, it was just another day to him. He looked happy, strong, independent and ready to run! Three times a day he would have the freedom to run and exercise his legs and he loved all that grassy areas. I made couple of videos for Snow and they would play it for him just so that he could see me and hear my voice. For sure I will take him there again if I ever need to travel. And the prices are so reasonable especially when it’s long stay. Thank you Eddie and Lilia! I’m so happy my daughter recommended your place! God bless!
My dog absolutely loves it here!! It takes a lot of worry off my mind when I have to leave my dog for a while knowing he is in good hands! Eddie takes great care of him, knows how to handle dogs, and my dog always has lots of fun during his stay. Highly recommended!!
Eddy was amazing with our dogs. He takes them out and plays with them and walks them. His place is so clean and beautiful , I dont think my pets wanted to come home at first. So nice knowing they ste safe and happy with him.
They left my dog unattended all day locked in a cage. She had urinated all over her bed. I had to have a neighbor go and pick my dog up early. No apology from the owner. No refund. Absolutely nothing. Be very cautious when booking here. Also they have fleas on their property. They say they have play time with them but never once took my dog out of the kennel. Be aware!!!! This place is not a 5 Star!!!!

This is the only grooming place where the staff is consistent and friendly. My dog started biting other groomers (never happened before), so I found Su Lin Kennels. My dog has never attempted to even bite again! This is huge. I recommend to all! Best groomers on the island!!!!!!
You can depend on Su Lin kennels staff to take great care of all your pets! I highly recommend their services. Zeisja cared for and fed our cat, chickens & fish so we could enjoy our holiday. We are grateful.

Missy Doggo spent a whole week at LoveBug Farm while we vacationed on the mainland. Rachel and Adam were incredibly kind and very communicative, sharing many pics and updates with me daily. When Missy wasn't too busy playing with other dogs or snoozing in the the shade, she was being snuggled by her newest human friends ❤ We couldn't be happier with the service and it's a relief to have another family kicking it with my dog versus being locked away in a kennel. LoveBug Farm all the way!!
My wife and I both work, LoveBug farm has become a second home for our pups. They actually fight to get out of the car to get to Rachel. The space and care are second to none. Reasonably priced, responsive we even get of few pics from there day. Absolutely the best experience. After a day at LoveBug they’re both ready for calm restful night.
LoveBug Farm did a great job helping care for my 3 dogs while we were on vacation. Rachel did a great job of communicating with us every day, even Sending us pics of our pups! LoveBug Farm dog care rates were affordable and her invoicing was simple to do via email. She made the whole process easy, so we could enjoy our time away without worrying about our dogs. Mahalo!!
LoveBug Farm is an exceptional place for your companion to be boarded. I've taken my Paka, a Chatahula/Pibull mix, on multiple occasions to LoveBug Farm. Rachel, the owner, made Paka feel welcomed and most importantly safe! My Paka loves going to LoveBug Farm! When he comes home, he feels at ease and ready to take the best sleep of his life. lol I only trust Rachel, at LoveBug Farm, to board Paka on the Big Island.
I was really nervous about ever being able to go on a trip and leaving my dog. But we heard about the Love Bug Farm. Rachel was amazing! We got to come check out their place before hand and have my dog meet her family and I got to ask all my questions. I felt so secure my whole trip getting pictures and check ins sent regularly. It felt more like a family friend was watching, hanging out and loving on our dog. We will definitely be using the Love Bug Farm Dog Oasis again!
Nothing short of AMAZING! She came to my home and got to know the dogs before we needed her. You could tell the dogs liked her right away (my pups are a little picky about who they like). Then she let us know when she was coming and sent pictures of the dogs - every day - many pictures. It made being away just a little easier. I will use her again, for dog sitting, as well as doggie daycare!
Rachel is absolutely amazing! Once I reached out to her, she responded within minutes, and after our initial conversation, I could tell that she would be a great fit. She came a day early to meet my herd and she connected with my babies right away. She’s warm, loving, responsible, and passionate about animals. I immediately felt like I could trust her. While I’ve been off island, she’s gone out of her way to keep me updated, send me pictures and my animals absolutely love her! I cannot recommend her enough! If you’re looking for someone reliable and who cares, Rachel is your lady!
Live Aloha Pet Sitters are absolutely wonderful! They treated our fur babies with love and special care. They sent us videos and/or pictures of our animals every day. Having our animals in their care really made traveling much less stressful and we will be using them every time we go out town. Highly recommended!
Excellent care for our feathered babies. They were happy at the end of their stay and showed no signs of stress. We plan on using Live Aloha Pet Services again soon.
