Tadassi, Melvin and Drew were absolutley wonderful pet sitters and house caretakers! They were very accomodating from the off when I told them that I would be moving home just a few days before the sit and were unphased at having to sit in a different house to what they had seen AND take care of a cat who didn't know where he was or what was going on! They sent regular and wonderful updates daily and made a firm friend of Kiko very very quickly... bribing him with massages, play time, treats and lots of love. I think he likes them better than me now! My home and plants were also very well taken care of and I came home to find my flat better than I had left it with lots of little details taken care of for me while I was gone. I kind of don't want to write too many nice things in case the family end up with another pet-sit and aren't available to look after Kiko again!
I don’t ever want to mention Mariama’s name again but after encouragement from Zeewoi, fellow cat owners, and subsequent sitters, I’m finally sharing the upsetting experience I had with Mariama. Mariama committed to sitting my 2 baby kittens (ages 3 months and 4 months at the time) for 10 days in Oct. On the 2nd morning (on my birthday), I receive her text saying that she abandoned the kittens, packed up and left. There was no prior notice, explanation, nor a response when I followed up to ask what happened. She just vanished and blocked all communication. I was left shocked and confused, wondering if something terrible happened to her, the kittens, or the condo. And she left me desperate to urgently find someone to feed my kittens while I was abroad. Eventually I learned from her review that she didn’t know kittens required care and careful attention. She complained that the kittens were messy and need training. I was shocked that this was the lame reason given for abandoning 2 baby kittens. Mariama is a cat owner herself for several years. I was a cat owner for only 2 months. Every cat owner in the universe knows that kittens require attention, care, are messy and will eventually grow out of kittenhood. Her actions were irresponsible, negligent, incompetent, and harmful to my young kittens. I do not recommend Mariama as a kitten sitter.
Daniel & his girlfriend were fantastic!! My dog needs insulin twice a day and Daniel asked so many questions to make sure he understood everything and then even double checked before the first injection which I really appreciated! My apartment was exactly as I had left it when I got home and my dog was happy and very well cared for! I’d highly recommend them and love to have them back for future sits!
Kate and Fred are such a fun pair who provided a marvelous pet and house sit. Kate is super communicative, charming and clear. Ahead of my sit she briefed me on what to expect with Fred and her flat. She provided an excellent guide. As described in her listing, Kate's office is on the first floor with staff members present during standard work hours. Everyone I met was so friendly, lovely and happy to help me as needed. They also helped keep an eye on Fred and provided wonderful conversation. As Kate mentions the flat is completely private, which feels like its own oasis. The flat is so clean and beautifully curated. Fred is an icon. Chatty and full of personality, Fred slept with me all the nights I was there but wasn't overbearing and respectful of my space. She has her ginger quirks, which I find delightful (like asking for drinks from the bathtub). She's not shy to ask for food or a pet, so be prepared to meet her needs. :D Thank you so much Kate and Fred. I hope we meet again!
