I had a wonderful time in Valencia, Spain with Bo and Nala! First, Kristin is a lovely person and was very helpful throughout my stay. She provided suggestions for things to do in Valencia, answered any questions I had about the apartment and the dogs, and was flexible with my arrival and departure times. Second, the apartment is beautifully designed and decorated. It was a lovely space to hang out and work from home during the week. I appreciated how clean everything was and made sure to leave it in the same condition when I left! Last and most important - the dogs! Nala and Bo each have a huge personality and have a lot of love to give. Like most dogs, they just want to be walked/exercised, fed, and given lots of love and attention. They were very easy to care for. I would definitely come back!
Charlie and Chris are easygoing people who have a lovely and spacious home in the Rivierenbuurt. The place is very comfortable, has a nice bath, a great kitchen and a large balcony to enjoy a coffee/wine/beer in the sun. Shops, restaurants, cafées etc a very close by. The Rivierenbuurt is a nice area of Amsterdam: not so busy but full of life. Yanna is a talkative cat who comes and goes as she pleases. She had a strong personality which we loved. It was easy to take care of her (especially with the detailed instructions in the welcome guide), just a bit of cleaning after she' her meals. ; ) Looking forward to visit her again! Loved sitting Rupert for Josh in his Downtown Austin apartment. Rupert is easy going and simple to care for. He did not interact with us much--just being a regular cat. We had difficulty with the lock on the apartment, and Josh was on the phone the whole time and arranged a lock smith. A+ response!
I absolutely LOVED looking after Jumbo! He is such a sweet and entertaining cat. Extremely curious and food motivated, he will follow you wherever you go to see what you are doing, forever hopeful that it might involve feeding him! He is playful and independent (loves to people watch on the balcony) but also loves to curl up by your side and relax in the evenings. The flat is clean and comfortable (especially the bed - I slept like a baby!), with everything you could need during your stay. There are plenty of local shops/ takeaways in the area so you don't have to venture far to get any basics/ food. It's also well connected via bus services/ metro to get around London. I would definitely sit for Daniella and her husband again. Comes highly recommended!
I’m so glad my first house sit was with Jeremy! He is a very friendly and organized person who provides you with a thorough list of instructions on how to look after Ollie and the house. The house is in a lovely location, just a short walk to anything you would need, including a bus stop to downtown. Ollie is a very sweet cat, who is quite low maintenance as he is out a lot. But when he drops by he loves to play with his favorite toy and I enjoyed really his company! During my stay Jeremy's neighbor Jen was a huge help, she went out of her way to make sure I was doing okay when Vancouver was hit with a cold snap. I always felt safe knowing she was next door to help with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend house sitting for Jeremy and I myself will look out for his listing next time I’m in Vancouver :)
