We spent a week with Pooky. She is super sweet and would let us pet her but the first day or two would hid under the bed for naps. One day she decided we were ok and began to hang with us in the living room and by the end of the week was sitting on our laps. Donna and Clayton and have lovely, comfortable home near to many amenities. It is near a busy road but not noisy. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.
I have sat for Smokey a couple of times and really enjoyed hanging out with him! Smokey is young and energetic, loving to go on regular walks around the neighborhood. He's also good at entertaining himself, finding much excitement in running back and forth in the lovely back yard that Maggie has! I spent many pleasant afternoons out there with Smokey, playing fetch with him or just chilling. Like many adolescent dogs, after a spurt of energy, he'll then be zonked out fast asleep the next minute or wanting a relaxing snuggle! Maggie has a very nice spacious home in a quiet neighborhood in the tranquil town of Sonoma. She explained everything to me clearly in person, as well as in a manual. She was available by phone or text to answer any questions that I had. I highly recommend this sit and spending some time with Smokey!
Rob and I had a super time looking after Alfie and Welly during this sit. We were there during a period of winter storms so didn't venture out too far, but we were warm and cosy in Midge and Alan's comfortable home. The location is fantastic with lovely lakeside walks direct from the door - and just a short drive to shops and all the amenities of Milton Keynes. The pets are both lovely and easy to to care for. Alfie, the cat, keeps a low profile - but he is affectionate and enjoys a good head rub. Welly is simply adorable! He loves people and just liked to be close to us. He is very well-behaved and a pleasure to take out for walks or to spend time with at home. We grew very fond of him and will miss his company. Thank you, Midge and Alan, for your hospitality and for a super sit.
From the first contact Alison was a great communicator. On the first intro video chat she walked us around their home (complete with guest appearance by husband Bob & kitties Kit-Kat & Twix!) to give us a feel for their place. So appreciated that Alison was easy to talk with, we felt "good" about the possibility right away. With four boys, this is a great family home: big, comfortable house with every amenity & nice gardens. The house is just a 10 minute walk to the SW Marine & 41st Street corner of the enormous Pacific Spirit Park: one of the most beautiful old growth forest city parks in the world, with endless trails that lead to other areas of the Vancouver southlands. The house has a living room & family room, each lovely at different times of the day. The gardens have decks with places to sit & read or have a meal on a nice day. Alison & Bob are such considerate people: we were given the master bedroom with en suite, with space for our things in thoughtfully provided in their walk-in closet dresser, as well as in the kitchen. Those little touches that really make a stay comfortable. Have to say, KitKat & Twix are two of the most affectionate cats we've ever met. Always wanting a cuddle. If you are a walker, it's quite possible to reach cafes, restaurants, markets from the house. Otherwise, a car would be useful, especially to explore Vancouver. All in all a really nice experience sitting for lovely people!
Lawrence is straightforward, a clear communicator and a generous host. I was lucky to be chosen to sit for a few days. Angus is a handsome little chap and kept me company night and day. Before sitting down I ensured everything was within arm’s reach as there would be no getting up for a while. If I typed for too long Angus would sit on my keyboard; even funnier was when he sat in the kitchen sink to prevent further washing-up! A great welcome to this site, thank you.
I had a lovely time at Heidi’s West Seattle home! Denzel and Larry were so easy to care for and fun house companions for me. Heidi was very hospitable and welcoming and available via text. There were lovely trails around the home and a great view of the Puget Sound and mountain range from the balcony to enjoy in the evening. I would definitely recommend this and come back again!
