Kimberly is the ideal sitter! I came home to some very happy and healthy pets. My house was well-cared for - even my sad plants were thriving. We were in regular communication while I was gone - Kimberly was prompt to respond whenever I reached out. She provided pictures of the pets clearly showing how comfortable they were, which put my mind at ease so that I could enjoy my vacation. There aren't enough stars for me to give to Kimberly.
Scott worked out great for us and our dog Tilly! He was happy to do a meet & greet one week before the sit (a requirement for Tilly). He was very friendly, easy to talk to, and put my nerves at ease as this was my first time using zeewoi. More importantly, he followed my instructions very well on how to behave around Tilly at first, since she is very nervous around strangers. I had some real concerns over having a male watch her (she has always had females stay with her) but there were no issues at all ~ he was very calm and gentle with her from the beginning, and it was clear that she was comfortable around him. He stayed with us the night before and after our trip due to our very early departure and late arrival times ~ it was no problem at all. He texted me each day with a quick update and picture of Tilly to let us know how things were going, which was expected and appreciated. He watered flowers, grabbed packages, took out trash/recycling, retrieved milk delivery... all things that we asked of him. He even made our favorite banana bread for us when we arrived home, it was so thoughtful. He was a very easy guest who left the house clean and tidy, even washing his towels/laundry before leaving. There seemed to be no issues with Tilly or the house while he was here, and it allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our time away. We would be happy to welcome him back anytime, and wish all our sitter experiences were this easy ~ Thank you so much Scott!
Adam sat my house for six weeks. He said it was his first sit. I didn’t ask if it was his first ever or his first sit with Zeewoi. The dog, cat and the chickens were well and healthy when I returned home. He did an adequate job, but I feel it was not fair to either of us that his possible first sit was in a rural location for such a long time. He did the basic job but overlooked many details that I had not pointed out verbally on our walk around the day I left. These details were in the instructions I’d printed. The printout covered many things about the house, plant care, the animals, internet connection and many other details. He said he had read the instructions. It seemed to me, after I was home for a while, that many of the things pointed out in the printout had not been done. I think Adam would be fine for a much shorter sit, maybe of a week or less while he gains the experience and knowledge needed to care for someone else’s property.
