It was such a lovely, quiet, and relaxing sit. Harley was a joy to spend time with. We became friends right away and she kept me company morning, noon, and night. She loves playing as much as she appreciates good cuddles and brushing. She is very curious so be mindful of not leaving anything on the counters. Her care was straight forward. Samantha is very kind. We kept in touch prior, during, and even after the sit. She welcomed me to her home and showed me around so that I was comfortable. Her home is an oasis that helps you feel relaxed. There are restaurants/stores within a 10-minute walk (just don't depend on google maps as it will take you the long way). You are near coastal walks and some public transportation that can take you into town. Recommended sit for someone who loves cuddles, a good time, and an independent, relaxing atmosphere. Thank you Samantha and Harley!!
Lilly and Ivy are sweet, lovely, easy-going, cute cats. They are very easy to care for. But they are also good at training the cat sitter, lol. They will come to you, use their voice to attract your attention, then run to their empty food bowl to let you know they want some (more) food. They are not lap-sitting cats, but they love to have a good petting or cuddle, totally trusting you after the first day or so. Donna and Ally are easy to communicate with and made sure I felt immediately at home in their house. They live on a quiet street close to a shopping area (5 min. walk). A bus to the city center is around the corner, but its frequency during off-peak times is not so great. Having another form of transport would be useful. Lincoln can be reached by train but is not on a major train line. Lincoln itself is a very nice town, with a cozy and interesting medieval center and a great modern shopping/entertainment area.
I absolutely loved my stay at Sascha and Marianne’s lovely Marathon Key home with Domino! He is a beautiful tuxedo cat with the sweetest disposition. He was a little shy the first day, which is to be expected with any cat, but we became best buddies very quickly. He’s very communicative, with a gentle meow or in his body language, about his needs, whether he wants to go out to the screened-in cat-io, wants snuggles and pets, or a little more supplemental wet food. He is a gentle and sweet boy and I couldn’t have asked for a better cat companion. Sascha and Marianne made the sit a smooth operation with easy communication, an informative welcome guide and plenty of recommendations for the area. Thank you for all!
Our pet/housesit for Kathleen and Jeff and Olive receives a five-star rating. Their home is very lovely and in a perfect location—close to town, yet near trails and with a country feel. Walnut Creek is the coolest, upscale town with the best shops, restaurants and amenities. Olive is beautiful, self-sufficient, easy and a perfectly behaved pet. She is so sweet that we hated to leave her. Kathleen and Jeff are exceptionally likable and pleasant, and they were thorough with their manual and instructions. We very much enjoyed their company and getting to know them. In brief, this is an ideal pet and house sit. Hope they will invite us back to care for Olive and their home. Barbara & Tom
