Lindsay and Shayne were the perfect house guests and our cats adored them. Lindsay was responsive and well-informed in the lead-up to the visit, which was hugely reassuring. While we were away, Lindsay provided us with regular updates on Luna and Sandy, and other house-related issues, allowing us to relax and really enjoy our vacation. We returned to a spotless house and two very happy cats. Both Lindsay and Shayne are an absolute pleasure to be around - warm, funny, and thoughtful. We would recommend them without a moment’s hesitation. Thank you for everything Lindsay and Shayne – you have set the standard so high!
Cats are sweet and easy to care for. Wet food left out at all times, so no schedule. Stripey sheds constantly despite brushing, so it’s easy to get covered in her hair since she likes to stay close. Great old house and location, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful flowers in bloom outside. Angie was easy to communicate with. I was a bit unhappy with cleanliness of house. Noticed only 4 stars from previous sitter in this category as well, but she did not elaborate. There is a weekly housecleaner and I arrived in the middle of her week. I mentioned to Angie how important arriving to a clean home was for me, and would have appreciated a bit of interim cleaning and tidying up for my arrival - it needed it. The housecleaner does a fine job on basics, however there is a lack of attention to simple detail and IMHO the house is in need of a deep clean. Other than that, pleasant sit.
Georgia and I had a wonderful two weeks looking after Lancelot and Galahad and Gwynnyth’s beautiful home. We instantly felt at home and enjoyed the local areas. Lancelot and Galahad are beautiful cats with so much character, we are missing them so much already. Gwynnyth was easily contactable and any problems we had we knew we could contact her. We would jump at the opportunity to look after them again.
Sandra was using THS for the first time. We talked several times ahead of the sit and she prepared an excellent Welcome Guide with detailed information. Everything was very clear. Her cat, Jellybean, was such a friendly cat. He has a distinct personality and we will remember him! For example, we chuckled at his morning method of waking us up. ( not telling- you have to find out for yourself!) Sandra’s home felt like home.. very cozy, very relaxed and walking distance to everything. Staying in Jasper was a real treat... so many opportunities to hike and get out in nature. Great little restaurants and shops. Sandra gave us tips of where to go. Sandra was very down to earth and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return another time.
Jazz and Bill welcomed me into their lovely home with a very welcome cup of tea!! They are such a friendly and lovely couple and chatting to them, I felt as if I had known them for years. Their little dog Alfie was a great to care for and really good company. I recommend this housesit to everyone --- 5 Stars all the way, xx
We had the most wonderful house sit with Pemba and Selous; the beautiful mother and daughter duo. They were just so sweet and so well behaved. An absolute delight to spend time and explore the beautiful countryside on their doorstep with. In fact, it was extra hard saying goodbye.. they really stole our hearts! You can tell from the other reviews here, just how special they are. So intelligent, funny, affectionate, cute and a joy to walk. Thanks to the wonderful hospitality of Jane and David, we had such a lovely and comfortable stay in their beautiful home, which is situated in a stunning serene garden. The expansiveness and tranquil surroundings enabled us to fully relax and enjoy. We were even lucky enough to enjoy the many swims in the pool in the sunshine, and we so loved picking fresh vegetables from the garden. The dogs even picked their own raspberries and blackberries carefully with their front teeth - amazing! Thanks again Jane and David. We had the best time. Please give our love to your wonderful dogs! Ben was an absolute joy to look after. He took us on long walks through the surrounding fields and villages. Jacquie’s home is absolutely beautiful , comfortable and homely - our bedroom was exquisite- overlooking the gardens and fields- a true delight. Loved every minute and would return in a heartbeat.
