Pippa and Maui welcomed us with open arms/paws and made us feel very Wellcome, the house and gardens were beautiful also the pool was very Wellcome we used it every day, lucky for us the weather was beautiful. Maui was a treasure to look after very playable but also very obedient we miss her already. Thank you Pippa and Stephen for letting us into your home, unfortunately I am only allowed to give five stars although it is worth a lot more. We can highly recommend this sit but you will have to queue behind us first.
This was a wonderful sit. Hilary and Ian are generous and hospitable and great company. Although their holiday plans were altered a couple of times due to Covid restrictions, they kindly kept me updated regularly right up until my arrival in Stalybridge. They kindly picked me up from the station (I was travelling from London) and provided me with a warm welcome and a lovely dinner on the evening prior to their departure. And the boys! Callum the big sooky bear, Tavish the cheeky thief and Nevis the sweet baby are all so different in personality but well behaved and affectionate. The dogs are healthy and energetic and so loved and cared for, They have a big garden to run in (overlooking fields and Moors, a stunning view) and room for their own rough and tumble games. Once they’ve had their morning romp they’re very happy to take turns lounging on the sofas in Hilary and Ian’s beautiful and cosy home. It was quite wet during my stay (well, it is Cheshire), and although I tried to keep tabs on the boys digging up the lawn, it was a bit patchy by the time the sit came to an end (par for the course ;) Hilary was communicative and easily contactable for the duration of the sit and provided me with a Welcome Guide that covered everything I needed to know to look after the boys and their lovely home.. they also put me in contact with the next door neighbour, in case any issues may have arisen. I heartily recommend this sit and am looking forward to possibly looking after Callum, Tavish and Nevis In 2021. I miss them already.
Sitting for Shannel and her sweet pups was my very first THS experience, and I couldn’t have had a better time. Everything I needed to know, from feeding the dogs to where to go have a coffee/beer or buy some local goodies (Starkey Market! Thanks Shannel!) was covered in a personalized note with clear instructions when I arrived. The house is beautiful and cozy. I felt right at home. The area is in the country but near enough to everything, so it’s quite convenient. It was really hard to say goodbye to Bella and Tito, since they became my besties within minutes! They are seriously adorable and sweet! If you’re lucky enough to get to sit for Shannel, I know you’ll have a great experience like I did.
Shuggie and Jusy were amazing. Shuggie was so gentle and friendly. She can get a little anxious on her walks sometimes when you run into other dogs, but if you sit her down and keep her focused on you with treats she does great. :) The house and location were perfect and close to a really beautiful beach. Judy was very helpful the night before she left with telling us everything we needed to know about Shuggie, the house, and local amenities.
