You will enjoy Louis tremendously. He is a very mature, independent cat. Since he has a cat flap he comes and goes as he pleases - but always comes back. There are no worries. He is healthy with a moderate appetite, probably watching his slim figure. He really likes to be brushed and will hold still forever. He is not very affectionate but will let you know when he is in the mood for some TLC. He likes to sleep on the bed with you but will go out exploring during the night. He normally returned to the bed around 5:30 for a very long nap. Be prepared to sneak out of the bed. Wolvercote and Oxford are great places to get to know. Diane, I met her only for one evening, will make you comfortable as soon as you arrive and - if you want to - introduce you to a fantastic pub just around the corner. I can't wait to get to know both - Diane and Louis - better
We loved our stay at Jessica’s home! Dunebug, Dash, and Dallas were the sweetest pups to watch. I snuggled up with Dallas on the very first night. He definitely worked me over for a few extra treats. Our family enjoyed walks in the beautiful neighborhood at night.
We had a wonderful time sitting for Rachel and Ross. Their cottage is incredibly quaint and packed with so much personality. The bunnies, Cecelia and Phoebe, as well as Bridget the hamster are such cuties each with their own little quirks. Rachel wrote a very thorough guide on caring for them as well as the house that made our sit a breeze. The village is postcard worthy, with lots going on - we managed a pub crawl and there was an art market at the weekend! Plus it was just a short drive or bus into Cambridge. We’d love to sit for them again!
We felt honored to be chosen out of so many applicants to care for smart, energetic and adorable Archie. Kelly and Craig were great communicators before and during our pet sit. They were very welcoming, provided detailed instructions and were always available to answer any questions. We enjoyed getting to know them and felt very comfortable staying at their apartment the night before their departure. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well organized and beautifully furnished. The location is outstanding and Archie is a wonderful tour guide. This is a dream pet sit if you love Paris and Shih Tzu's. Archie is a dog with a distinctive personality that kept us laughing and wanting to be with him 24/7. He loves tug of war, walks and food. He was not a lap dog but still cuddled on the couch and in bed on his terms. He was excellent at restaurants and cafes. He enjoys people watching so sitting outside whenever possible is great but he does react to dogs walking by so we would try and sit away from traffic flow when possible. We took him everywhere with us and he never tired. Archie is a dog that whenever you think about him, you can't help but smile. I miss him terribly and hope to pet sit him again no matter where Kelly and Craig are living. Archie is a Shih Tzu so can be stubborn. He would try to dictate the direction of the walk and never wanted to return home. He would also run up and down the building stairs barking after long walks so we ended up using the elevator as not to disturb neighbors. In many ways, Archie still behaves like a puppy with his abundance of energy but he is trained very well and responds to his commands the majority of the time. Other dogs or not wanting to return home from a walk was the only time he would sometimes not respond to commands. Using positive reinforcement treats was key to success with him. We hope to return to stay with sweet and hilarious Archie. Thank you Kelly and Craig for entrusting us to care for your beloved fur baby.
I enjoyed this sit so much! Cherry and Willow are the cutest! We bonded in no time. Apparently, getting under the bed covers is their new favorite thing which was very fun and funny. Willow's morning pill was no problem at all, it's so tiny it blends very easy with the treat. They both were also super nice if I wanted to sleep in a little... Jenna's apartment is like a little sanctuary with beautiful energy that truly feels like home.. super cozy and alive with all her plants; you can tell she's put a lot of love into it. I also loved how environmentally conscious her lifestyle is. The location is great, with easy access to public transportation. Communication with Jenna was great from the beginning and throughout. She explained everything I needed to know over a video call and even sent me a video with instructions on how to take care of the litter boxes since they have a different cleaning system. Overall a great experience, that I highly recommend and would happily sit for her again.
Annie left us a detailed welcome guide with everything we needed to know and she promptly answered any random questions we had. Millie is an adorable fluff ball who was shy at first but then kindly asked for attention when she warmed up to us. Annie’s home is seriously the coziest home I’ve stayed at and is full of greenery and charm. My husband and I felt right at home. The location is also impeccable. If you get the chance to take care of Millie in Annie’s home, I highly recommend!
