I was a disorganized mess in the lead-up to my three-week trip to Australia--including messing up Leah's start date when I got the time difference confused. Leah was so gracious and accommodating amidst the chaos. She rolled with the punches and was a total dream of a house and pet sitter: communicative (yet self-sufficient), and flexible. She took excellent care of my cat, and my house and car were both incredibly tidy when I returned.
We spent a delightful Easter weekend at Kaz's spacious, clean and comfortable family home in Box. Although we did not meet Kaz in person, we felt so welcome with clear and detailed information on the running of the house and looking after little Pippa, the cat. She was an absolute delight to be with, so quiet and gentle and after a short time getting to know us, very affectionate. We can truly say that after looking after over 30 cats with Trustedhousesitters, Pippa was the sweetest and by far the best cat we have encountered. I would defy anyone not to fall in love with her. Box is a lovely village set amongst rolling hills, with meadow and woodland walks almost from the house and plenty shops for most everyday needs. We only had time to try one of the pubs in Box.... the Quarrymans Arms at the top of Box hill. We had an excellent meal there and the views over the surrounding countryside were stunning. There are plenty of places to visit locally, we visited Bradford on Avon, Corsham and Lacock, to name but a few. With warm sunny weather during our stay we had a fabulous time and would recommend this sit to all, and we hope to return some time soon. Thankyou Kaz, for making our stay so delightful, Janet and Victor
We had a delightful time looking after Poppy and Daisy in Mark and Joy’s gorgeous cottage in Woodbury Salterton. It was lovely to meet Mark and Joy before the sit who were so friendly. They gave us clear instructions for everything and made us feel totally at home. Poppy and Daisy are especially lovely dogs - gentle and affectionate and easy to look after. We enjoyed taking them on the lovely local walks, especially to Greendale farm shop and cafe where we enjoyed many a coffee or lunch. The comfortable and cosy cottage is simply gorgeous, so thoughtfully set up and decorated and we really appreciated how much there was for the children to do - lots of books and games and a delightful garden house in the picturesque garden. Woodbury Salterton is a pretty village with lots to do and see in the surrounding areas. There is also pub two doors down, convenient for an easy meal. The neighbours were particularly lovely and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. We would highly recommend sitting for Mark and Joy and their two delightful dogs and we would welcome the opportunity to do so again.
We first sat for Linda and Tim a couple of years ago and absolutely loved spending time with their wonderful dogs in their lovely home. Each of the three gorgeous pooches has a distinct personality and they are a credit to their owners. They love to snuggle up on the sofa with you, play ball and explore the garden. Linda and Tim are very welcoming and friendly, and they have become friends since our first visit (we have sat a few times since). The house is very comfortable and is situated in a beautiful village, with great walks right on the doorstep. If you want to experience lovely West Berkshire, we would highly recommend staying here!
A very nice sit. Hank and Phoebe are wonderful kitties, fun to spend time with and easy to care for. Anna was welcoming and went out of her way to make sure I was happy and comfortable, thank you!. The apartment was really nice and the location is excellent. I highly recommend this sit to anyone who has the opportunity.
We had 4 fabulous days looking after 3 very entertaining and adorable collies; Wally, Frankii Bear and Georgie. And not forgetting Pipp the cat and the big rooster and his 7 hens. Deborah and Matt made us feel very welcome to their fantastic Tuscan Style house and to top off our stay we enjoyed soaking in their hot tube overlooking the Tasman Sea at the end of the day. A most memorable house sit.
Michelle is one of the loveliest people I have ever met - she was so welcoming and easy-going that she made us feel at home right away! She is also speedy with her response to messages, and just an overall joy to communicate with. Baxter is the cutestttt puppy ever, just a baby in a slightly bigger body than he realises. He is the best at snuggles and loves belly rubs! He is still in training, so you must be able to handle him wanting to say hi to everyone outside, as he can be strong when excited! He listens well and is just a sweetie all in all. We would love to see him again soon!
