Farha was great at communicating how to care for the animals before heading off on her trip with her husband and two children. We loved caring for their beautiful cats, Milo and Matilda which included our walks with Milo in the forest. The cats also had access to an outdoor catio which they loved. Canela, the Bernese, loved her trips to the school where we felt confident that she would play gently with all her pals, many from their townhouse complex. She also loved her longer walks in the forest, however, we quickly learned that swimming was not her thing when we arrived at Loggers Lake. Whistler is a wonderful place if you love the outdoors. We loved cycling on the Valley Trail which allowed us to cycle safely to the village, lakes, hiking trails, as well as pick up groceries. We did our major shopping at Creekside Village and Whistler Village. Our favourite days included our hike along the Cheakamus River, a day of swimming at Lost Lake and of course hiking and taking the Peak to Peak Gondola from Whistler to Blackcomb which, all in all, made this sit a very special one. Function Junction is within walking distance and we would highly recommend trying pizza at Functional Pie Pizzeria and the scones at Purebread. Thanks to the family for making our stay a very special one.
This was definitely one of my favorite house sitting experiences ever! Sarah and Peter are super kind and hospitable, I felt comfortable immediately! They left me a super thorough guide regarding Kedi & Besi, as well as for Istanbul things to do, which I greatly appreciated. Sarah also was super quick to answer any of my questions, which I’m really thankful for ☺️🙏🏻 I could rave about Kedi and Besi for dayss, I seriously miss them a lot (you have to prepare yourself to have your heart stolen by the 2 haha)! Kedi and Besi are like Yin and Yang I feel like, they compliment each other’s personalities so well. While Squeak doesn’t tire of jumping, running, hopping, chasing, Kedi takes a calmer approach, though she too has a lot of energy for playing - on her terms though! Besi seriously entertained me so much and made me laugh out loud everyday because of her shenanigans, I’ve never laughed that much because of a cat 😂Once Besi has powered through her chasing games, she will just come to you and cuddle up, and “knead” you and purr loudly, which is the most adorable thing ever. Kedi also loves to cuddle, and while I was there I think she preferred when I came to her to offer her some cuddles and playtime. She has such a gentle and lovely way, the way she looks up at you is super super cute - she really is a princess! Besi would cuddle up and sleep next to me, while Kedi preferred to be more independent. There are so so many more details I could give, but of course it’s gonna be fun for you to get to know about Kedi and Besi for yourself; they seriously are the most precious kitties ever and I thoroughly enjoyed having them as company every day. They were definitely the highlight of Istanbul for me, which says a lot because Istanbul is such an amazing city. Sarah and Peter live in an absolutely amazing location, the Bosphorus ferries and bus are like 6 minutes away by foot, the houses around and scenery in general are so so nice for wandering around and taking pictures. I enjoyed that it was a calmer part of Istanbul - so nice when you’ve been in the kind of hectic areas of Beşiktaş and Eminönü to come to Emirgan and unwind. To sum it up, again - this was one of if not my absolute favorite cat sitting ever, everything was most enjoyable and I had the best time, thanks to Sarah and Peter. I can’t wait to see them and Kedi and Besi some time again in the future, hopefully! All the best, Sara
Hazel and her family were easily the nicest family I have met pet sitting around the world!! They were so incredibly kind to me and made me feel so comfortable and safe in their home. They have a beautiful family and Monty was an absolute treat to watch!! He is so cute and easy going and the cuddliest little dog. Their home is extremely clean and in a really nice neighborhood. I would recommend Hazel, Monty and their family to any traveler in Edinburgh!!
Had a wonderful time with the entertaining chickens, cute bunny and guinea pig! Katie was super flexible and made our stay highly enjoyable and as easy as could be. The property itself is extremely peaceful and relaxing. Located near tons of nature trails and hikes, nearby Elbow Lake is a must see! Thank you Katie, Steve and Abby! For this sit I cared for the sweet, loving Cosmo and his bright and energetic nephew, Hugo! Cosmo is an older guy who doesn't need much physical activity. He mostly just wants love and affection. Hugo on the other hand is youthful and loves to run around and play fetch! Both are very food motivated. Hugo seems to know quite a few tricks like "paw" and "lay down". Barry and Jackie's home, despite being three large stories, is very cozy and welcoming. They're clearly big travelers and their home is an excellent representation of their love of travel as well as their love of being parents and grandparents. Their grandchildren's framed art in the kitchen just melted my heart! Cosmo, Hugo, and myself spent a good chunk of time in the third-story sun room admiring the views of downtown Oakland, San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Thank you so much for having me, Barry and Jackie. I'd love to sit and hang with Cosmo and Hugo again someday!
I had a great time at this sit - there are so many things to do nearby and Louie & Ziggy were very easy to sit for. Louie is a big lovebug and just wants to hang out with you. Ziggy is such and adorable girl, she is very shy and skittish at first but by the end of my trip we were cuddling up on the bed too.
