Jack, Daisy and Finnegan are 3 of the sweetest characters! Jack is the old man with glimmers of puppy who likes to sleep his day away. The two younger ones are full of energy and love to play together in the yard. Susan and Randy were awesome and welcoming and were so great to work with.
Lovely break in Chipping Sodbury and the cottage being just off the High Street was brilliant for popping to the shops or for anything you need without having to drive. Plenty of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops around. Gilbert & Morrison are beautiful and we loved looking after them. They have trackers on their collars which is brilliant idea and knew they were never far away. Gilbert loves company, affectionate and cracked us up with his playful antics! Morrison loves being out and about exploring. The cottage is quirky, lots of nooks and crannys and large kitchen with period features. Thanks guys for the card too. X
Becki is an exceptionally warm and friendly person! It was a delight to meet her, if only for a short time. Her apartment is beautiful and comfortable. "The Girls" (ferrets) were very easy to care for, and they provided nonstop cuteness and entertainment. They have entirely different personalities and are quite clever. We recommend getting to know these ferrets and especially getting to know Becki!
Carol was a wonderful host, collecting me from the station and explaining everything clearly. She reassured me over WhatsApp when Cookie went "missing" for a few hours -- my worries were for nothing, as the neighbours had a bowl of tempting cat food in the garden! It is a friendly village and everyone was helpful and welcoming. I nicknamed it Ambridge. Cookie is independent-minded, but soon took to me, and in a show of justified territoriality, lay down to sleep on my computer bag, just to show who's boss. Sometimes she'd wake me up in the morning, but never too early. She's a good companion. The cottage is gorgeous: the perfect blend of C17 history and C21 luxury. I hope to return to this rural idyll.
Looking after Dinosaur in Kristin's lovely apartment in Riga was a great experience! Dino is such a funny, sweet cat; she warmed up quickly and curled up next to me on the sofa, followed me around so she could flop down nearby, and enjoyed some pets and playtime. Her routine is easy - although do take note of her ~5am feeding time which she is very keen on - you can go back to sleep afterwards though! Kristin was an awesome host, great communication, and she even arranged for me to be let into her place after my early flight while she was at work. The apartment is spacious, light and warm, and within walking distance (or a short €1.50 bus/tram ride, if you prefer!) from pretty much all of Riga's central attractions, as well as tons of restaurants and shops. I really enjoyed my time in Riga and would love to return to sit for Dinosaur again.
This was a wonderful house sit. Nina and Terry were so thoughtful and made us feel comfortable in their home. They made room for us to put our clothes in their closets and dresser. They left great directions for taking care of their home and Rosie and even put little post-it notes near light switches (there are a lot of them). Their home is beautiful and peaceful and serene. It's like living in a tree house. It's also a short walk to a private beach on Puget Sound. Even with all this, Rosie was the star. She is super laidback and easy to care for. She is loving and adorable and loves to sleep. We had the opportunity to walk on the beach with friends of Nina and Terry and their pups every day. As you can tell, we loved this house sit.
