Love the Perfect Pooch. I found them through Google and Yelp reviews and the reviews are so accurate. I was so worried as a new dog owner and they treat my dog with such care. They started watching him before he was fully vaccinated so more pet sitting and they were fantastic. I got tons of updates and pics and they truly care for the pets. They’re great about notes and requests and did a great job feeding him and keeping him entertained. I most recently tried their overnight service which was fantastic and didn’t disrupt my puppy’s routine. I always feel like my dog is cared for by folks (especially Joy!) who love dogs and take extra care to treat my puppy with kindness -highly recommended.

Leeland takes such good care of our 2 big pups! Her walkers are caring and detailed. My dogs love them and look forward walks with licks and kisses. We receive photos from each outing!

Maggie is pure joy. She's also a 55lb diva who needs a long walk every day to keep her being a pure joy as my workday co-pilot. I had a scary experience with a solo dog walker, and then I found Leeland, who heads the Perfect Pooch. Lili, Gable, Raeven and sometimes Leland herself walk Maggie both alone, and sometimes with great buddies. I've seen them outside from a distance, and know how Maggie is super excited when it's time for their arrival. Maya stayed with Maggie while we were away, too. I feel confident and very comfortable knowing Maggie gets her walk (no matter the weather). The portal is very easy to use for communication, and payment, too.

I have been using perfect pooch for cat sitting for several months now. They have watched our cats during several trips. It is easy to schedule via their app, they are reliable, take good care of our cats, and always send follow up notes and pictures. As an added bonus - they also leave our apartment tidy - vacuuming up litter and taking out the cat food tins.

We moved to the UWS fulltime in 2022 and are so grateful to have found Leeland and her team at The Perfect Pooch. They are caring, professional, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. It gives us such peace of mind to know our pup is in their hands for walks, boarding, and dog sitting.

New to the city and have been using the perfect pooch for over a month and weve been so happy. They use an app to message, schedule, and share all the happenings including real time mapped walks, timestamped visits, photos and a sweet message from the walker. Leeland the business owner is wonderful and communicative and came to meet our dog and then set up a meet up with our incredible primary walker Rheanna! As a very satisfied customer of the Perfect Pooch for a few years now, I have relied upon them for overnight pet sitting, walks, and at-home puppy sitting for three of my large breed dogs. I am so incredibly grateful to have them in my life. Leeland is a joy to work with, and the walkers are highly skilled, well trained, loving, and perennially punctual. However, an even higher recommendation comes from my dogs—they are so happy to see the walkers when they arrive that they completely forget I exist.

My experience with The Perfect Pooch has been overly positive. The business owner is very responsive, and helps to do all booking, scheduling, payment, and messaging through a commonly used app. All employees have been trustworthy in my home, including the business owner who shares in the workload during busy weekends. Employees are largely detail oriented as well as cat-friendly and very patient even in the face of very shy cats who can lock themselves in a room.

I've been using The Perfect Pooch NYC for about a year now, and they take the BEST care of my little chihuahua! He was a COVID puppy, so I hadn't had to leave him with a walker/sitter before, but Leeland and her team are so professional, caring, and warm that I felt comfortable instantly. My dog be a little feisty (to put it nicely) but he adores his walker Ashley, and she keeps him happy and in check on their daily Central Park walks. I've also used them for overnight boarding, and was so impressed with the quality of care and updates. Can't recommend Leeland, Ashley, and the Perfect Pooch team enough!

Priceless is amazing! Our dogs absolutely love it there and the staff are incredible. You can tell they really care about each dog & we always feel secure leaving our dogs there whether it’s for a day or a week. They take the dogs for walks in Central Park and are great with reinforcing good habits, so it’s like boarding and training all in one. They’re also very timely, reliable & professional in all communications. If you’re on vacation and missing your dog, just send a quick email and they’ll reply with pictures of what your dog is up to. And their boarding is cage-free so the dogs can sleep comfortably at night (our 2 dogs love to cuddle together.) Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe & fun environment for their dogs ❤️

The greatest doggy day-care and boarding option we have ever used. Everyone at Priceless is phenomenal. Our two dogs (who are both quirky) LOVE visiting here. I have to avoid walking on that side of the street when I walk to the park or they try to pull me in! Hector, Nathalia, the whole crew are really great. They're incredibly responsive, easy to deal with, and communicative. The environment for the dogs is really welcoming and my dogs get really excited when they meet another dog they've seen at Priceless. Dogs get great personal attention. When we bump into some of the dog walkers on the street when they are on their way to or from work, they immediately recognize our dogs and give them big hugs! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Give them all your business!

I’ve been using Priceless since 2012. We have three dogs and Priceless has never failed me. Given that these are animals and all kinds of things could go wrong even in the best of care, it is pretty amazing that we have had all good experiences and our dogs are happy to go and spend time there. We use them for half-day and full-day daycare, as well as short term and occasionally longer term boarding. They are super user-friendly and life in our house would be much more challenging without them.

Once they told me they walked my dog 11-14 times a day because of his energy levels. My dog developed hot spots in between his paws. And why are you walking dogs on the hot pavement in the summer? The owner has deplorable social skills. The office manager, is a liar who has a real attitude problem. I can say a lot worst, believe me.

Staff is very kind and welcoming. They have different environments and atmospheres for the temperament of different dogs.

They take care of my dog so well! It's like his second home. He absolutely loves it! Also, my Shiba Inu is very particular (doesn't really like a lot of humans) but he jumps for joy when he sees the staff members at Priceless Pets!

My pup loves it here! She makes a bee line to the door when we round the corner. The owner is thoughtful and passionate about dog care. The facility is clean and cozy. Walks every three hours. They are so flexible and so responsive over email. They’ve made managing my dog’s care a breeze!

Julie took the very best care of my 2 dogs for a long weekend at our house. One of them is very anxious and shy, but she made both him and myself feel at ease. We love seeing the pictures she sends and posts. She is great to communicate with and punctual! We love Julie’s Jungle!

Julie’s Jungle is the absolute best! We have used Julie for pet service for over a decade and have nothing but praise for her and her team! They take pride in their work, show the upmost love and affection for your pets, and treat them as if they are their own family.

Julie and Tyke were able to take my 10 year old bulldog at the last minute and allow us to leave for Thanksgiving. Tyke was amazing with my needy dog and provided many updates throughout the day. My dog and cat love Julie and her team! They do dog walks and I use Julie's Jungle often for pet sitting as I travel a lot for work. Julie, Mita, Kevin and Erica give so much love and I am always confident leaving my pets in their care. They send pictures often and I can see my dog and cat snuggling up with them. I highly recomment Julie's Jungle.

Elena is a wonderful person and fabulous with animals. She has been taking care of my rescue dog since 2019, and I feel so lucky to have found her! He warmed up to her immediately, and she is kind and patient with him. Elena follows any specific directions exactly (including leaving certain lights on etc.) - she even goes so far as to do extra things if she thinks it will help, like giving fresh water if the bowl is running low. Elena is communicative, very reliable, and truly cares about all of her clients. Chauncey is always happy and content after Elena's care and it is clear that she does an exceptional job. If you need someone to care for your pet, choose Elena!

Absolutely recommend Elena’s pets! Elena was so flexible and communicative when arranging my dog Ed’s walks. She is very reliable and my dog took to her immediately (which says a lot because he can be very particular). Elena has walked our two hound dogs on two separate occasions. Both times went great. Elena is wonderful!! She took care of our 2 dogs (including our special needs diabetic dog who requires insulin shots) during a family vacation. Elena is the only person I trust with my elderly, chronically ill cat. She’s incredibly diligent about administering all of her supplements and medications (which can be tedious), and always makes sure to check in if anything changes or if she has questions. Elena always sends pictures of my cat and her prepared food bowls at every visit (and of the empty bowls to show that she has eaten well!) — this really puts my mind at ease when I can’t be there to take care of her myself! She is always trustworthy and reliable — in two years she has never been late or missed a visit — which is the most important quality in a pet sitter. It’s a bonus that Elena truly cares about my little one’s wellbeing and is respectful of my home. It’s a big deal to trust someone with your house keys in NYC, and I would recommend Elena to anyone without hesitation! She is truly a star petsitter and my cat and I are lucky to have her in our neighborhood!

Elena has watched my senior dog twice and he absolutely loved his time with her. She sent me lots of updates with photos and videos and she managed all of his medications without issue. The best thing about Elena is that you can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she’s with and in the few days she first spent with my dog, they developed a bond. He even recognized her months later out on the street before I did! I can’t say enough great things about Elena - she’s the best dog walker and sitter in the area, paws down! 🤓

Elena is wonderful! I highly recommend her, I loved that she took time to come over and meet my dog Theo before my trip so that they could meet in his home where he was most comfortable. This past week was the first time that I had left Theo with a dog walker who wasn't family, so I was a bit nervous, but Elena was extremely communicative and sent lots of photos every day. She even FaceTimed me on the first night because Theo was a little skittish, but then he warmed right up to her! She walked him twice a day and fed him, and I appreciated that she was always quick to text if she had a question or needed clarification to make sure Theo was fully taken care of.

Patti has been taking care of my dogs for a few decades, from my very first dog as an adult to the litter mates I now have. She is extremely reliable, consistent, attentive to the dogs and trustworthy. And my dogs love being cared for by her! I will give Patti my business as long as I have dogs….

I recently took my dog Frida to Bronx Barx, and it was an amazing experience! The staff was friendly and truly cares about the dogs. The facility is clean, spacious, and offers a variety of activities, keeping my Frida happily engaged. I appreciated their focus on safety and supervision. Overall, Bronx Barx is a fantastic place for dogs, and I can’t recommend it enough! Happy Dog! =Happy Dog mom!

Bronx Barx is incredible. Renzo treated my dog like his own with so much love and care. My dog would sprint up the stairs to greet Renzo and be so excited to go to daycare - she does not do this at any other daycare we’ve taken her to! If we hadn’t moved away we would still be dedicated customers. They are flexible with last minute bookings. It’s affordable, too.

Highly recommend Bronx Barx. I used to bring my PUPPY Milo to PetSmart daycare but they told me he was "too hyper" so they put him in the crate. I looked around for a new place and found Bronx Barx and I'm so happy I did. Milo had such a great time and got all his energy out. They didn't keep him crated up and he got to play all day long. The staff was incredibly nice as well. I love that they have live cameras too so I could check on my baby. Milo was soo tired after from all the fun he had. Highly recommend!

I typically never leave negative reviews as they can be detrimental to a business, but my dog is now on anxiety medication and still dealing with PTSD from his Bronx Barx’s haircut. On November 11,2023, i dropped off my dog for his grooming appointment, this was his first time at this location but he gets groomed regularly with another groomer. I let the staff know how i typically like my dog’s hair cut and asked them not to cut the hair on his ears. When I got back my dog was completely shaved including his ears. The staff did not explain why he had to be shaved or if anything happened during his appointment. After arriving home i noticed both his ears had been cut open and had only stopped bleeding because the blood dried up. I thought it was just a small cut until I wake up the next morning with blood all over my apartment and all over my dog’s neck. After an emergency vet visit, I was told my dog was likely uncomfortable because of the pain and scratched the dry blood off. because if this incident he had to be on antibiotics and wear a cone for 2 weeks. I understand accidents happen but staff should disclose these types of incidents with clients. My dog now has to take anxiety medication to get groomed because he tries to bite the groomers when they touch his ears. Which is why I am forced to write a review as this has affected my dog’s personality and aggression. Not only did this cost an extra medical bill, it also has traumatized my dog and made him not trust groomers. Bronx Barx needs to hire professionally trained groomers who can communicate and put dog’s safety first.

Update 8/19/2019 - I just left my puppy with these guys for a week! And she was so well taken care of. She was happy to go back and even gained some weight. I can't say enough about the high quality of care Bronx Barx has for the canine's in their care. I am so grateful for Bronx Barx. The quality, attention, and care that the staff show both to my puppy and myself is bar none. When you walk in you feel the positive vibe both from the friendly staff and the happy dogs! What's more, they have a doggy cam so you can check on your pooch through out the day to see how they are doing. This place is 5th Avenue quality in the heart of an up and up neighborhood in the south Bronx. My puppy is always happy to come here. It has become her home away from home!

Amazing grooming service. They left my mini schnauzers exactly the way I wanted them, paying very close attention to details. The price is also very affordable. Best grooming in the Bronx. I will be going back!

I took my 5 month old puppy here for his first grooming and I was scared as hell because people can be cruel. I’m never doing it again. His hair wasn’t cut correctly nor was his nails, only one of his ear hair was cut . I paid in cash asked for a receipt and the young lady told me the machine was down, it took two hours for my puppy to be done . I paid and once again asked for the receipt, the woman said she would email it to me. I went in May 15,2023 at 12 pm people tend to give themselves away with body language, im never going back. I tipped as well , the total was apparently $70.77 not worth the money or time. Terrible experience for me and my boy.

My dog Charlie just loves going and playing with the other dogs. He Aldi’s comes home nice and exhausted, I love the care they give my dog.

So unbelievably amazed at how wonderful the service has been here. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has a dog that they love and care for. Natalia will make sure your dog is taken very well care of! The grooming area was very clean, and they handled my nervous pup with great care. He looked so handsome after his session. He had shiny fur, trimmed nails, and was very happy throughout the grooming. Absolutely a 10/10 experience.

We love Natalia!! After bad past experiences where my dog was scared told go back to the groomer, my dog is always so happy to see Natalia and you can tell she cares so much about it being a good experience. On top of that, Natalia gives my dog the best haircuts - we regularly get stopped on the street to ask who her groomer is. Even a few weeks after her haircut, people think she just got it done because of how good the styling is. We would follow Natalia anywhere!

We are so thankful that Upper Dogs Social Club exists and our dog, Nigel, has the time of his life everyday. It went great. He really loves and understands animals, and that shows in the quality of care and personal attention he gives his charges. My dog became best of friends with his dog, Nico, and loved socializing with his other clients' dogs (very few on any given days, since he does not do big group walks). My dog's mood visibly improved as a result of the social and physical activity that he provided. He could not have loved or taken better care of my dog if she were his own. Description of work: Andre, The Pet Concierge, took wonderful care of my dog nearly every weekday and overnight on weekends and business trips when I was away from home. He picked her up at my place each morning and gave her plenty of walks and lots of play and rest time--and fed her meals when I worked late. As she grew older, he carried her up and down stairs and made sure she remained as comfortable as possible.

I have used The Pet Concierge with Andre Kourkoulis for the last ten years. He walked my dog Lucas who sadly passed away last year. Andre would take him to the vet, stay for the appointment and administer the medication while I was at work which was a blessing. He also cares for Chloe my cat. She is 7 and is diabetic. Andre administers her medications and IV as well. I’m happy to have found somebody who truly cares about my babies as I do. He’s pricey but well worth it. I prefer to pay for individualized care. When Lucas was alive Andre only walked him alone. I never wanted my dog with a group of ten dogs. I’m so happy to have The Pet Concierge in my life. The best in Manhattan if you ask me. Five star service.

I have used Andre for the last 8 years. He takes such good care of Alex. Alex is 9 now and is on medication. Andre administers his meds and makes sure he has an individual walk as my dog isn’t the friendliest. I trust him with my dog and my home. Thanks Andre!

We were really scared of leaving our kitty for the weekend. But he made us feel safe, and all the questions he did let us know that he was on point of everything and knew what he was doing, he kept us updated every time, it was not necessary to text him to ask him, he will just send his daily update on time. Dorothy’s Petcare is the best and most trustworthy place to leave your dog. I’ve been using them for years. Their staff is all incredibly kind and they take amazing care of my pup. The owners are very caring and wonderful to work with. My dog can be a bit of a challenging case and they take it all in stride. I think one of the best parts of this service is that they include relief walks for your dog in their service. This is not a common practice from what I’ve found. Thank you Dorothy, Darius and team!

Dorothy and Darius, Danny, Jonathan, and everyone who has taken care of our dog has been amazing. Dorothy takes care to let me know who will be taking care of Rosie, either picking her up from my home or being with her at the shop. They take care to send videos of the dogs playing or walking, they know when Rosie hasn’t felt well. They have helped me to get her better when she was very sick (including taking us to a vet who actually saved her life, no exaggeration!). They are lovely, caring people. Dorothy and Darius are completely trust worthy, kind, helpful. Most of all, my dog loves them and all the people who walk her, especially Danny and Jonathan. She goes crazy when she sees them, even if she happens upon them in the neighborhood. I recommend Dorothy’s Petcare without hesitation.

I cannot express my gratitude for Darius, Dorothy, and the entire team at Dorothy's Petcare! Odara was thriving when spending her time there, and we only stopped because we moved abroad. They are attentive, careful, and compassionate. Whenever we would walk to Central Park on weekends, Odara would try to squeeze under their door, even though they were closed, because she loved spending time there - and this is the best feedback we can get from dogs ^^ I highly recommend them to anyone and if I ever go back to NYC, they are surely my first and only choice.

I had always had my dog stay with my parents when I went away so this was my first experience boarding her at overnight and my dog Pippa and I could not have had a better experience. Darius and Dorothy made the process so easy and are extremely responsive and thorough with getting all of my information and meeting with me and Pippa prior to her stay. They even let me bring Pippa's favorite faux fur blanket with her so she could sleep on it. They emailed me several times while I away, updating me with how Pippa was doing along with photos. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dog sitter - not just because they are so professional, but that they truly love dogs and are such caring and compassionate people.

The care and attention to detail their entire team provides, reassures us that our girl Rossi is in good hands. After a couple of less than satisfactory experiences with dog care, I lucked into meeting Dorothy and Darius and they went on to help me with my dog for more than 9 years. I have an erratic work schedule and somehow they were always able to accomodate it. They were much more than dog walkers; they were a stable, loving part of Scout's life and real partners in his care, right up until the end. Five stars are not enough to explain how I feel about them and their team. Ten stars are more like it.

As a teacher who just moved to the Upper West Side over the summer with my new puppy, I was extremely anxious about going back to work this Fall. My little girl Lulu was so used to spending 24/7 with me and I worried about her transitioning to being walked and watched by strangers. I didn't feel comfortable with a lot of the nearby companies I observed who all seemed to have a dozen dogs at a time. Not Dorothy's Petcare. The minute I met Dorothy & Darius I could tell that they were no only top-notch professionals, but also truly love all of the animals in their care. I was very impressed with how carefully trained their walkers are and how knowledgable all of them are about not just dogs in general, but even bull dogs who require special attention. If you are a person who appreciates the details in service, then you should give this company a try. They matched me up with Stephen who Lulu adores. Every day Stephen shoots me a text to let me know all went well and when I return home from work, I can be sure that her water dish has been rinsed and refilled, her leash is put away, her sweater is neatly folded, a light is left on, and her kibble is topped off. Because I live near them, I also have the opportunity to observe many of the neighborhood dogs being walked. They never have more than two or three dogs, and they are given lots of attention and love. That was important for me to see because I know if I can't be the one to walk my doggie, then I want whomever does to actually care. In fact, because Lulu is a puppy, Stephen found that she was a lot to handle with other dogs. So, instead of just dealing with it and pulling her along, he made the decision to walk her alone. Obviously time is money for a business that gets paid by the half hour, but for Dorothy's Petcare, it wasn't about the money, it was about what was best for my pet. You have to admit, you aren't going to find that kind of service this day & age! I would never want anyone else to watch her, trust me, you'll feel the same way once you see how happy your dog is when she or he sees his or her walker on those days you call in sick : )

These guys are great! My dog is almost too excited when I'm leaving town, because it means she gets to stay with them for a little doggie vacation. They're very responsible and great with communication. I've used several different services in NYC but Dorothys Pet Care is by far the best I've seen. Highly recommend.

absolutely horrible, dishonest service. Very unprofessional. They call prospective employees in to “train” and then just have them do free labor without hiring. So not only do they screw working people over, but they’re having inexperienced people handle your pets. Don’t solicit this business if you care about working people or the well being of your pets! EDIT: it appears this business decided to responded dishonesty, quite consistent with my experience with them. Their apparent "head walker" was on his phone not paying attention the entire time I walked with them, so if that's their best to offer, quite indicative of their services! The notion that I "dropped the leash" while walking is a hilariously desperate lie, who does that? At least try to come up with something believable! A bunch of shady losers

I love taking our company dog here! He plays outside all day in our shop and get's really dirty, when he comes back from Dorothy's Petcare as clean and gorgeous as can be. The staff is extremely polite and friendly

Best dog walkers ever! The Bow Wow Boys always take the best care of our finicky little Frenchie. They've been faithfully and lovingly walking our crazy pup every day for over 2 years. Whenever we have to work a little late or go out of town, we always know that our fur baby is in great hands with the Bow Wow Boys. On top of all this, their online scheduling system makes creating and canceling services incredibly convenient. If I'm going to have to work late, I can schedule them to come over that night, walk, feed and snuggle with our little fur ball. Wish I could give them 100 stars! PS: They take the best photos of our little nugget on every one of her walks (a service they do for all dogs they walk).

I am just celebrating 3 years with Bow Wow Boys. Bob and Drew are AMAZING! They walk my boy every day and stay at my apartment with my cat and dog while I am away. I always know that they are in the best hands with these guys. They are like family to me and go to the greatest lengths to make sure all of their animals are taken care of and loved. I can not recommend their services enough!

The Bow Wow Boys are fantastic and took great care of our dog for over four years--from when she was a few months old to when we moved out of the neighborhood last month. Drew, Bob, and the walkers on their staff are professional, flexible to schedule changes, and truly caring toward the dogs they walk. Everything you could hope for in a dog walking service!

One of our foster dogs was hit by a car and died due to negligence. The walker did not have his hand looped through the leash, bent down to coddle the dog when she was scared and she was hit by a car. Walking dogs is a huge responsibility. Coddling a dog when they’re scared is absolutely the worst thing one can do. Aside from this, the walker did not have his hand through the leash. This was a very tragic experience to say the least.

Amazing Service. They were able to schedule a visit with me promptly. And start walking my puppy the next day! I also love the fact that they sent pictures and provided details about the walk! I am really happy with the communication and service
