We would like to thank Louise and Julian for making us very welcome and comfortable. They have a beautiful home, which is well presented and immaculately clean. Alfie (the cat) is a real character and a joy to look after. The bush surroundings are really lovely and makes for a very peacful environment. We loved our stay and would recommend this to anyone who is lucky enough to be chosen to sit for this family Regards Lori and John
Silvana was easy to communicate with and was all-around easy going. She made me feel at home from day 1, explained everything with detail and always stayed in touch in case the pups and I needed anything. Lobo, Luna and I had quite the adventurous week exploring the lakeside parks, playing games in the backyard, hiking at Bronte Creek and learning that skunks are not friends. They are amazing pups. I loved Lobo's adventurous spirit and Luna is an absolute sweetheart. I will always treasure every moment I spend there. Thank you again Silvana!
Jennifer was a great host. Very well organized and clear instructions. Their home was quite nice and comfortable and in a great location to explore some of Dallas's great restaurants and shopping. The pets were good, with three distinct personalities. Percy is a very vocal, playful and affection cat. He likes to let you know that meal time is coming, sometimes a couple hours ahead. Lol. He's not allowed outside, and did seem like he wanted to try to sneak out the front door, so you have to watch him. Misty, the black and white dog, is also very affectionate, will try to jump up on you, and a bit mischievous (she's not allowed in the bedroom, but will sneak in given the chance. She pulls a bit when on the lease - she likes to sniff around a lot, then rush to the next spot where something smells good. Misty has a bell on the door that she rings when she needs to go out. There's no yard, so you have to take her out. Gwen, the brown dog, is older and slower and very sweet. She's very easy on the lease and very easy to hang out with - at least after the first 15 or 20 minutes after Jennifer and her husband left - Gwen was not happy and just sat there barking at me. But once we got past that, she was great. Both dogs will bark when they see or hear someone go by. It's not a big deal, just normal dog stuff. All of the animals are used to getting up very early, so be sure you are ok with that. I was up before 6am each morning. Fine by me since I'm a morning person, but saying that here so you can be prepared! Overall a great sit, and I highly recommend.
Karen was incredibly easy and accommodating, so it was no surprise when Penny and Cinnamon — who both have lovely natures — were equally easy, and all from a lovely home.
We had a really lovely time looking after Jet and the bunnies. Mills' house is the quintessential country experience with fields and woods surrounding the house. There is lots to do in the nearby towns but it's also the perfect house for staying local. We cooked and sat outside enjoying the views and the sheep in the nearby field. It was a short sit but we hope we can return to watch their dog. The walks around the house are really great. TY Mills, lovely to see the black lab!
I really enjoyed this sit! Zu is an incredibly sweet, snuggly cat. He's very chatty and loves belly rubs! His care was relatively straight-forward. Kima's home is beautiful, with an amazing back yard! Her home is very centrally-located in one of the best neighborhood's in Portland, with ample access to restaurants and public transit. Kima provided me with easy instructions for Zu's care and was very easy to communicate with. If you have the opportunity to care for sweet Zu, I highly recommend it! :)
