A++ Mark and Kim housesat for us during our two month trip overseas. This was the longest we have ever spent away from our home and our cats, and so we were somewhat anxious and quite selective for this particular housesit. Mark and Kim did a great job addressing all of our questions and general concerns during our Skype interview and it was clear that they were smart, capable and relaxed people that we could trust with the care of our home and our cats during this long trip. We chose them from several dozen applicants. We got to spend some time with Mark and Kim in-person the evening before we left for our trip, and their warmth, positive energy and ease of interaction with our cats really reinforced our confidence that we were leaving all that is important to us in good hands. During our trip, they were quite self-sufficient and provided the perfect amount of communication. We really enjoyed receiving pictures of our kitties a couple of times a week (which is what I requested), and catching up with them from time to time about how they were enjoying Portland and sharing some highlights from our adventures abroad. It was really wonderful to have zero stress or concern about our home and our cats while we were away. When we returned home from our trip, we were welcomed by two very happy and relaxed kitties, an immaculately clean house, and a wonderful spread of food prepared for us including a full dinner, breakfast for the next morning, and delicious cookies as well as a fridge stocked with basic essentials like bread, milk, and eggs. There were so many small details that reflected their thoughtfulness and care during their time here that really elevated the overall housesitting experience for us. Mark and Kim really went above and beyond to not just take great care of our home and our pets, but to take great care of us as well. We couldn’t have dreamed up a better pair of housesitters and we really appreciate everything they did. Mark and Kim are the best, and we (and our cats) hope to cross paths with them again in the future.

Amy and Joey are wonderful! They are dog people and have extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes. We have two elderly dogs and Dee requires assistance in getting up, much of the time. Amy and Joey were very attentive, kind, gentle, and loving with our old pups. We so appreciated their loving spirit. It was also wonderful to come home to a beautifully clean and tidy house. Amy and Joey are great people and we recommend them whole heatedly.

House and pet sitting for Orrin and Sola was a wonderful experience. They kindly prepped the house for me, picked me up from the airport, and even stocked the fridge. Their home is right on the harbor. I enjoyed kayaking with the seals and paddleboarding.

The pets were so sweet! Succia and Dylan are the sweetest kitties. They love to snuggle and purr when petted. Succia is an avid hunter and might bring home a surprise now and then. Dylan is a little more shy, but once he gets used to you, he purrs and rubs up against you.

Coco is an animated old lady (Jack Russel terrier). She totally cracks me up. Despite not having the best sight or hearing, she runs around the house, chases the cats (don't worry she doesn't run fast and never actually catches them), but also loves to snuggle and sleep on you while you watch a movie.

Willow (keeshond) is pretty princess and she knows it! Willow wants nothing more than to sit outside on the patio and watch the boats go by. She only wants to go on short walks to sniff the plants and do her business. She LOVES treats and booty scratches.

Overall, I loved my month at Orrin and Sola's home! They are a lovely couple and their pets are a joy. I would gladly housesit for them again!

Jane
I had the pleasure of meeting Jane and James a few days before the planned sit. I was given such a warm welcome and instantly felt at ease in their company. I also had the opportunity to meet Minty who is such a sweetheart. Following mutual agreement due to illness the sit didn’t go ahead. Communication throughout was excellent. I would be delighted to sit for Minty on another occasion.

Leigh
My mom and I had the best time taking care of adorable Hugo! He is truly a low-maintenance cat. Not only that, he’s also sweet, quiet and will (usually) come to you when you call him.

Leigh was so helpful, making sure to show us around the house before she left. Throughout our visit, she gave us suggestions for things to do in the Shawnee Forest area and was available to answer questions.

We enjoyed the house, it was clean, peaceful and inviting with ample space for my mother and me.

Random day-trip alert: Metropolis, IL is an hour south of the house. Yes, the “Home of Superman.” You know you want to go!

Highly recommend this housesit and would definitely return!

We drove down from Queensland to Gayle and Williams house-sit in Kealba,Vic and found it was lovely oasis near the city:Beautiful modern, immaculately clean, spacious home with all mod-cons,fantastic huge t.v&Playstation/netflix set-up,reverse cycle, ducted and a swimmimg pool so we were spoilt! Squealer was the oldest(at 19) but friendliest cat we've ever looked after..a super- affectionate lap cat who loved to be brushed and cuddled by my daughter. We had an excellent week sightseeing/relaxing and communication with Gayle was very easy and friendly.Thank you Gayle and William for making us feel so welcome in your home and we'd love to come back!

Sonya
It was wonderful taking care of Kevin. Kevin needs medicine twice a day, but he is a very calm cat and accepts the medicine calmly.
Sonya made the instructions clear and it was a pleasure to spend the weekend looking after Kevin in Portland, which is such a beautiful city.
Sonyn's apartment is very well located, organized and beautiful!
We definitely recommend!
