I arrived to a well prepared, organized and clean house the evening before, and Tyler showed me around the house/garden and explained how to manage the newly installed watering system and how to set the alarm whenever leaving the house.
I slept in the guest room upstairs at first, but due to the most extreme heat wave Sweden has ever suffered I soon moved downstairs where it was cooler.

Their nice house is build on a steep slope with a patio and a large balcony out front with plenty of pots with small trees, flowers and veggies, where you can hang out and BBQ etc. The balcony extends to the side and connects with the back patio where the hot tub is. Downstairs there's also a sauna.
I genuinely enjoyed spending time on the side balcony/patio. It's perfect for relaxing.
You have a nice view over the surroundings from there and inside through the large windows on the upper floor. The area is safe and quiet.

Since the EXTREME heat wave, my only issue was to water the garden more frequently than usual with the soaker hose and paying extra attention to the five newly planted trees/ Magnolia, fruit trees, a pine and the hedge, along with all the pots around the house which was strenuous for the period of 6 weeks.

Pepper is the sweetest, sociable and lovable cat I've cared for in a long time. You can tell his family members loves him deeply. He's independent and likes to roam the surroundings daily, and comes and goes to eat or just to hang out on the patio and get cuddles.
Spike (lizzard) is adorable and easy to care for. I gave him fresh veggies every day, following a strict meal plan to keep him healthy and happy. This was my first time caring for a lizzard. He likes to sit in the sun on the windowsill in the tv room and watch birds/ insects flying by. He can only be left outside his heated terrarium for a limited time because his body temperature will drop to a point where he can’t move.

Nicole and Tyler are friendly and generous hosts. She left me a well written house book and gave me tips on what to do and where to go, which was of great help. Communication before/ during the sit went well, depending on their traveling locations with sometimes unreliable wifi connetion.

I biked around and and loved the beach close by, where I could cool of from the melting hot sun. I recommend having a car to get around during summermonths, it's easier going longer distances than using the bike. There's a daily bus connection towards town.
All in all I truly enjoyed my stay, and LOVED having Dr. Pepper and Spike around!

We arrived at Dawn & Tom's house in Nantglyn from the Ruthin direction in an absolute down pour, but you'd expect that in N. Wales.
They cooked an amazing meal for us and after introduced us to the 3 cats and 7 chickens.
Each of the cats has its own character. Each of them was easy to feed. Sian, the kitten was very playful and liked her cuddles. The other two usually appeared when they wanted to be fed but in general "looked after" themselves most of the day. The chickens were fed once a day. The fresh eggs were a bonus and were delicious.
Its so peaceful and quiet in Nantglyn and a great location for visiting the N.Wales coast and Snowdonia.

Everything was great! Her Welcome Guide was thorough and accurate. Two pets were a little shy and two were very lovey and it was a pleasure to come home after a day of sightseeing to a welcoming house with sweet pets.

Loved the wonderful sit in the mountains with Juno. She is a sweet pup and loves hiking as much as I do. Carmel, Josh and Eli are lovely, gracious hosts. The home is gorgeous with many flowers and plants in the garden. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality!

Cindy, Ya Cindy,

A delightful, playful, joyful, beautiful, and wonderful furball who kept me in stitches and entertained for an entire month. I kept her amused with different toys and games, not to mention impromptu fashion shows. She kept me on my toes with her suspicious looks, always making me wonder what she was plotting next. It was hard to part ways so i didn’t say “goodbye,” just “until we meet again.”

The house was spotless, spacious, and oh-so-comfortable, nestled in a quiet Brooklyn suburb. If you enjoy long walks and bicycle rides, Shore Parkway Greenway is just steps away, offering breathtaking views of the river and sunset. The three things I’ll miss most about this place are the cool breeze, the birds chirping, and the church bells.

As for Sarah, she is a very kind, soft-spoken, and organized host. I sent her daily photos and videos of her adorable fur baby, giving her peace of mind and some laughs with behind-the-scenes moments.

Thank you Sarah for choosing me to be Cindy’s sitter, and giving me this incredible experience in the charming and magical city of New York.

Jamie
I had the most wonderful time in Bramhall with Dolly and Doodle. The area is so lovely, great places to go on walks, very safe, good public transport connections. Jamie and Umar have a lovely home.

Dolly took a day to warm up but after that she was a lot more affectionate. She is very quiet and keeps to herself most of the time. Doodle is more energetic and very friendly. He is such a personality and has the sweetest little face.

On walks Dolly is a lot stronger than she looks on the lead but over time I think she got used to my walking pace and obviously gets tired eventually. Doodle does bark on walks sometimes, its usually when you stop (crossing the road, picking up poo). But he’s very good to walk, doesn’t pull too much and stays by your side. They are both very good when crossing paths with other dogs.

I highly recommend sitting for Jamie and Umar. Jamie was very good at communicating before and during the sit. This was my first time doing a sit and it could not have gone any better.
