We had a very pleasant stay in rural Monchique among the lemon groves and cork trees. Nico was a delight, always willing to go for a walk or just hang out in their cozy home. The wood stove made the living room cozy, even on the rainy days in winter. Liz not only shared her home but her community with us which we are grateful for her generousity. We joined her local hiking group once a week and met her wonderful group of active friends and explored the surrounding countryside. We would recommend this housesit most highly. Alan and Mary
A cat sit in Neasden. My partner and I found ourselves looking after a cuddly cat named Manuelzinho. The first few days were okay and required an adjustment period to fulfill the cats' needs because our skills had to be increased (feeding 4-5 pills in the morning). Overall, Manuelzinho is the cuddliest acupuncturist cat I have met, and he will (!) Cuddle you (which i enjoy) while you sleep and sit on you and will most certainly perform acupuncture on you. Jubilee line is very close by (5 minutes walk), and the tube gives you access to Central London in 25 minutes. Take into account that we ordered groceries online as the closest supermarkets were over 20 minutes walk. There are 2 comfortable workspaces in the house, one in the bedroom and another in the kitchen, and the space is used very well. There is access to an air fryer, toaster, kettle, and water carbonator (Soda stream), and pretty much anything you might need. Larissa and Stan were also very helpful, and kindly responded all our questions during the stay.
Thanks to Ana everything was well prepared and explained. And there was everything I could ask for, to feel at home. Zänä and Lua are very adorable to watch playing in the garden and they love to be cuddled. The morning walk is a little more challenging with two big dogs, but even doable for a single strong and coordinated person. Even though the sit was only for 3 days, it was time enough, the two "little" ones stole my heart already. Thank you for this experience and your trust, Ana!
