Keren
It's been months since my sit, but I realized I didn't leave a review! Keren was a very gracious host and she made herself available the whole time I was there for any issue. She got me acquainted with the personalities of the different doggos beforehand, so I knew what to expect and, honestly, found the one with the most "naughty" reputation to be the most endearing. The pups certainly had personalities and I really enjoyed their company while visiting London and the cats were as friendly as cats get! I am a cautious one with cats and these guys were the head-butting, sweet sort that you just have to push your laptop aside for a minute so they can cuddle a little. I miss this funny little family of pets!

Alan and Monika
Monika and Alan are a fun and generous couple who are obviously passionate about their pets and, indeed, all animals. Sasza is a sweet little rescue dog from Ukraine with a heart-breaking back story. Fortunately for him it has ended happily with him finding a safe and loving forever home. Because Sasza is nervous of strangers I met up with them 6 weeks before the sit so that he could get used to having me around. We went for a lovely walk in the Tottenham Marshes and afterwards I was treated to a smashing lunch in a local pub. We met up again 3 weeks before the sit and celebrated Sasza’s anniversary of finding his new home – it was great fun and we were joined by Fran, their friend and dog walker, and her little Jack Russell. On the eve of their departure we had a lovely dinner party and I had the pleasure of meeting their vet too so I knew I had a good support team behind me! Sasza was very wary for the first two or three days and I had to enlist Fran’s help to get him into his harness. Eventually he warmed to me and we were able to have fun and explore the neighbourhood together. The five cats are real characters and are no trouble but you have to have your wits about you as they like to get up to mischief! Their home is extremely comfortable with every mod con and lots of tech (the automatic cat litter tray is phenominal!). I would be more than happy to sit for them again.

lovely dogs, very friendly but farthing has a tendency to roll in dead stuff and cow poo, and he was quite tricky to clean. absolute love bug though, incredibly sweet and both dogs very well behaved, with not a mean bone in their bodies.
chickens were kept very well and happy&healthy, as were the guineafowl and sheep.
very nice local area, some great long walks.
worth noting Rudy walks very well but if he stops, it may be because of thistles, so just carry him through thistle fields then he's fine. Took me a minute to figure this out.
One negative from this sit: I felt i was spoken to quite harshly after leaving. I stripped bed and left dry towels and bedding in laundry room as I took dogs on a big walk before I left, and what with packing up and driving to the next sit, I couldnt also manage the laundry, and didn't realise it was expected of me.
I also felt it was better to leave dry washing that could be dealt with later rather than a load full of wet stuff that then needed to be dealt with immediately on their return. I was really upset at the way I was spoken to about this, and feel they need to specify that the laundry is both washed and dried before you leave to future sitters, to avoid disappointment/ conflict in expectations.
I feel I did a lot of work for free, being with the dogs 24/7, walking them in the terrible wet weather, cleaning the chickens bedding out and watering vegetables, and I don't mind doing that if I am respected, but I went away feeling quite used after the text messages I received.
Also worth noting, massive bison head taxidermy in the small hallway which was quite intimidating, bedroom had a damp issue and my blanket/ bag I brought smelled badly of it when I left (luckily it did wash out.). There are also multiple cameras around the gardens, which I wasn't made aware of until I read the printed welcome guide upon my return.
It's a shame as they seemed like really nice people when we met, but I think it needs to be really explictly stated that you expect laundry to be washed and dried if it is going to upset you enough to speak to someone that way.

Thank you, Ido, for trusting me with your man, Fleame. It was a joy to spend time with him.
I highly recommend this sit.
Fleame was shy with me in the beginning, but eventually warmed up, to the point where he slept on the bed with me. And once he knew I was awake each morning, he purred and head butted me for scratches.
The apartment is funky and full of character. Beautiful old windows and doors, and super high ceilings. The kitchen had everything I needed.
The street is quiet, but in a bustling neighbourhood full of stores, restaurants, and cafes. Transit was very close by. I was able to easily travel to the centre of Berlin.
Ido always answered my questions right away.
