A delightful and peaceful stay in Jon and Sheila's beautiful cottage. The dogs Guille and Bramble are lovely and well behaved. I enjoyed my adventures with them across the fields and woodlands in the surrounding area. Jasper is a very affectionate cat and very insistent when he felt the need for attention! I swam everyday in the bio pool which is set in the stunning gardens. I ate fresh picked vegetables and fruit from the garden and had eggs from the hens too. All in all an idyllic spot and no too far from a big town if needed. Absolutely Wonderful and sorry about the Marrow (I missed a courgette and suddenly it was huge!)
Sandra and Gene are a lovely couple. They are very welcoming. Sandra made sure I feel like home. She called me to the house a day before the house-sit begins. She walked me through the house , and provided other details. She made delicious margaritas in the evening and also cooked yummy dinner. She is a really good cook. They both are avid travelers and been to 132 countries. I got to hear their wonderful travel stories. The house is big and located in a nice and safe area. It is nearby to many good restaurants and grocery stores. Fatty and New Boy are 2 sweet cats. They both are beautiful. They loves to relax. New boy loves to get brush massage. They will talk to you for food which is so adorable. I really had nice time in the house. The great hospitality by Sandra is remarkable. I would love to do the house-sit again.
We had a great time with Cleo & Penny. Cleo seemed to warm up to us immediately, in a typical golden retreiver fashion - she'd even bring our socks downstairs for us in the morning! Such a sweet pupper! On walks, she was really stubborn, sitting and laying down in the sidewalk and not budging for quite some time. She has a bad knee and is waiting for surgery, so we just assumed she was in pain, and wanted to chill outside -- poor pup, all she wants to do is play and run! We kept her walks short and played inside with her monkey often and she was great. We can't wait to see her again someday after her leg is fixed up! Penny was a super easy cat, and had outside access. She did her own thing most of the time, unless we were watching tv. Then she'd be right there in our laps purring her little heart out. The house is in a great location, and we loved having the little market right next door!
We loved taking care of Aslan and Anne-Marie's beautiful home in Asheville! Aslan is so playful, friendly, and easy. The home is very nice and clean as well. Anne-Marie was a great communicator and flexible with our arrival/departure times. There is so much to do in Asheville including hiking, breweries, comedy shows, rooftop bars, etc. 11/10 recommend!
A truly fabulous dog sit looking after Bramble & Tiggy (and three chatty budgies) Helen and Dominic were really welcoming, inviting us over before the sit began to talk through bits and pieces and meet the dogs. Bramble and Tiggy were an absolute delight to look after; both have wonderful temperaments and can make you smile all day. Walking them is very easy and their recall is excellent. Helen and Dominic’s house is lovely and the garden is beautiful and all very easy to look after. A dog sit we can highly recommend.
Natasha’s house is a lovely place to stay, and the neighbourhood is great too. I didn’t have a car but they kindly left a bike for me and I was able to explore the area easily by foot, bike and public bus. Teak and the fish are very easy to care for, and Natasha also asked me to water the garden which was a nice job in the evenings. Would definitely recommend to other house sitters.
