It was a wonderful experience house-sitting for Smudge and Brie. Brie was kind, organised and communicative at all stages of the process; she kindly cooked a beautiful meal and gave a thorough hand-over before the house-sit as well as preparing detailed notes covering expectations and any eventuality. The house is lovely, with lots of plants, a garden and in close proximity to Hampstead Heath for walks. Brie also set the house to a comfortable temperature which was much appreciated in the colder weather. Smudge is such a lovely cat & we became great friends spending lots of time playing & chilling out together! He is less friendly to the local squirrels however! Looking forward to minding Smudge again soon!
We had the great pleasure of staying at Connie's and Les's place for an extended period and looking after their wonderfully loving and affectionate cat Bruce. We arrived a couple of days before they were due to head off on their trip and can say wholeheartedly that they were absolutely wonderful hosts. Our accommodation was incredibly comfortable with a large en suite bathroom and we felt spoilt whilst they were there with us. Connie and Les also have a number of beautiful dogs which we had the pleasure of meeting, although on this occasion they were heading off with them in the car to Portugal. The house and grounds are joy to be in with a fabulous large kitchen where we spent the majority of our time eating French cheese and fresh bread. My girlfriend and I both work online and confirm that thy have an excellent wifi connection and a cosy office space where we could get our work done. Bruce is simply delightful and spent his time either spent his time sat on our laps or prowling his territory outside. He was incredibly low maintenance to take care of and most of all just wanted lots of TLC when he was relaxing with us. The village of Rochechouart is very lovely with a number of quality restaurants to dine in and a handy Coop supermarket literally a 2 minute stroll away. We are very much looking forward to the next time we sit for Connie and Les.
Molly is a delight to take care of, she is friendly and gentle, good around other dogs and with people. Molly travels well in the car. Fiona is warm and welcoming and had kindly put up Christmas trees and decorations for us to enjoy during our stay. We felt at home, were comfortable and had a lovely time taking care of the adorable Molly. If timings align we'd be happy to return.
We really enjoyed our time house sitting for Jackson. He was great at providing us with all the information we needed and stayed in touch throughout his trip. Hugo has so much personality and is quite the cuddle bug. While he does require attention, he can eventually settle down and just hang out with you on the couch. He loved going for walks with us at first, but we could tell he started missing Jackson after a week or so, and then he preferred staying in and shorter walks. He was still playful and snuggly in the house, making us feel right at home. The location of the house is fantastic, and we highly recommend anyone to stay here.
I had a lovely time in Brixham in Elaine’s beautiful house looking after Pokey and spending time in her lovely garden. Pokey is very independent and spends most of her time outdoors. I sometimes found it hard to track her down but she loves sunbathing and seems to have a favourite spot in the front garden. The house has wonderful views of Torbay and the area has many beautiful and interesting places to visit. I would recommend Berry Head (fantastic views) and a trip to Kingswear to take the very short ferry trip across to Dartmouth. Elaine was most kind and generous of her time before she left for her trip – driving me around the area so I knew where things were. Thank you Elaine for allowing me to stay in your home and take care of Pokey.
Sitting at Kimmy’s was absolutely wonderful. I felt so welcomed by their hospitality and warm personalities. Lucy and Meyer are so laid back and easy to care for. Their three cat Mimi, Mercutio and Ophelia are just as easy going. I seldom saw them until feeding time. Their fur family know their routine and will keep you on schedule. Meyer is very timid and shy. He requires patience and a very loving person so that he can feel safe. Once he warms up to you he will be a loving shadow. Lucy on the other hand loves people and loves to be loved. Kimmy was very detailed and left great instructions on how to care for their fur family. I was made to feel very comfortable as if I was part of their family. The guest room was amazingly comfortable and very clean. I thoroughly enjoyed this sit. They came back a day early than the agreed upon sit and they graciously allowed me to stay another night at their home. Their home is located near so many restaurants and just a 30 minute drive to Phoenix. If asked to sit for them again, I’d definitely seize the opportunity. My heart is full of love from their pets and the owners. Definitely enjoyed myself.
