If we could give this House Sit 6 stars we would! We had such a fabulous time at Lize & Jaco’s house in Langebaan, South Africa. The house is spacious and modern with a well appointed kitchen and comfortable lounge area. The bedrooms are a great size with lovely en-suite facilities. Outside there is a lovely al fresco dining area overlooking the Hot Tub and beyond that is the local “Mashie” golf course. Great for impromptu walks with the dogs. A truly idyllic place! The area is safe and welcoming - we haven’t come across such friendly people before! The houses in the area are beautiful and the view of the Lagoon is simply breath-taking. The fabulous beach is only a few minutes away in the car, as are the supermarkets and restaurants, so everything is within easy reach of the house. The hosts Lize & Jaco are the kindest and most generous of people, going above and beyond to ensure our entire stay in South Africa was a joyful one. Communication was quick and easy from the very start right through to the end of the Sit, and we always felt that they had our best interests at heart throughout the whole process. They are very easy to get along with and great company! Now onto the extra special part – the dogs! What a gorgeous duo they are. Both dogs are very active, clever, obedient and loving. We developed a bond with them straight away and felt very comfortable taking them for long walks both on and off lead. They absolutely adored the beach! They are great swimmers and will play in the sea all day long, given the opportunity. They are so happy in the water that they always attract attention from passers-by, no-one can help but be drawn into their fun and frolics! It really was lovely to be with them and we had such a great time looking after them. They will always have a special place in our hearts! Thank you Lize & Jaco for having us – we are so glad to have visited such a beautiful place and met such fabulous people & dogs. We would love to return in the not too distant future! :)
I’m so happy that I have had the chance to do this sit, the opportunity to take care of 2 of the most amazing cats that I have ever met! Georgie and Pi are beyond words, so cute and sweet! Georgie is shy at first but after she gets to know the person she is really friendly and Pi is a super sweet cat. Paula’s house is located in a good area of West L.A., walking distance to lots of grocery stores. I enjoy staying in the house, it has everything a person needs. Paula really made sure I would feel as comfortable as possible. I really would like to thank Paula so much for the stay and the opportunity to take care of her cats.
Allison was lovely to sit for. Her communication was excellent and she took the time to carefully explain helpful information. Scout will absolutely steal your heart, she has the most loving personality. She is an outdoor/indoor cat and super easy to take care of. She loves her cuddles with you in the morning and the afternoon. Allison has done an awesome job decorating her home and it’s in a great location and neighborhood in Huntington Beach! It’s a close bike ride to the beaches, HB Pier and a short drive to shopping/restaurants. Allison is such a generous, lovely and fun person to get along with and sit for. I would highly recommend!
Gene and Diane are wonderful hosts! I came the night before they left so they could show me everything. They treated me to their home as if it were my own.Bandit is a doll baby. He is so easy to take care of.He’s a real snuggler!
I loved getting to know Duma and Isabel. They both had such unique personalities, and it was such a joy to see them open up. My time spent here was so special. The home is spectacular and filled with so much love. Anna was so gracious and supportive that it made the whole experience easful and nourishing. I would absolutely recommend this housesit!
This was an enjoyable and super easy cat-sitting, since both kitties were easy going, playful (at times), and fun to be around! I took care of Zelda and Walter; both kitties enjoyed going outside at times; Walter liked to spend more time relaxing by himself, and Zelda enjoyed hanging out a little more, including cuddling in my bed. It was a pleasure meeting/chatting with Kasey (albeit on Facetime) and, of course, taking care of their sweet cats in their lovely home. Kasey was welcoming and provided a nice home tour on video and a detailed doc with all the relevant information about the home and the kitties. About the place, the home is beautiful and comfortable, in a great Berkeley neighborhood. As described by Kasey, the home boasts lots of cool amenities. I also enjoyed checking out the nearby eateries in the "gourmet ghetto" and checking out some parks nearby. I would absolutely enjoy repeating this cat-sit and highly recommend it!
